  1. I am sure Boras will deal with the Sox, I just don't believe the Sox want to deal with him too much... even though they do have a couple of his clients on their team IIRC. I agree though Drew would be an excellent choice compared to what else has been suggested...ie Dye, Hidalgo...even though I would take a chance on Hidalgo is all else fails.
  2. I would like JD Drew as long as he can stay healthy that is. Only problem is his damn agent Borass!!
  3. Do you work for a lawn care company??
  4. I would boo... hell even b4 this scandal I was going to boo him. He's the biggest jagbag and doesn't deserve respect or cheers. Screw him.
  5. Seinfeld had the best reply to telemarketers....."How about you give me your # at home and I will call you later?" "Oh you don't give your # out?" "Is that because you don't want people calling you and bugging you at home?" Something along those lines seems to settle that...
  6. Best of luck to you Tex!!!
  7. Hell Gibbons would be a better choice than Borch right?
  8. The more I listen to Bruce and some of the answers that are given and things by the guests. I am also thinking some thing will be going down this weekend. Hopefully that is.
  9. I bet if the Sox had a female stripper coaching 1st base Willie would be get on base a lot more....then again he would never steal 2nd cause he would pay too much attention to her...so it probably wouldn't work... NM. hehe
  10. ESPN 1000 just reported Todd Walker resigned with the Scrubs...
  11. I would give Washburn a run. He had a rough season last year but is one hella good pitcher. IMO
  12. I say sign him and if he is a total Jag bag, have Frank take him in a private room and beat some sense into his ass. hehe
  13. Not only was he a founding father, he was a diplomat, discovered electricity and Yes Ladies man!!... Ok Ok so I watched the History channel they just did a show on Ben Franklin...hehe
  14. Hands Tex a life preserver... You're going to need this...
  15. Levine made it sound more like Garland would be part of the deal to Ari. I am sure he will talk about it tonight on talkin baseball or hot stove whatever it is.
  16. And they have the nerve to say I am insane..... :headshake
  17. Levine was talking to Kotex Boy and said the Sox are talking a 3 way for Randy Johnson to go to the Yankmees and the Sox get Vazquez...said KW has wanted Vazquez since Oct. Plus he said the Sox are primed to sign Wright as well....Take it for what its worth due to it coming from Bruuuuucccceeeeee.
  18. Holy hell. She got very lucky to even survive not to mention not being paralyzed either.....
  19. I seen the preview for "Meet the Fockers" and it looks damn funny.
  20. If I had to guess, I would say Borch. He is a big boy but it sure hasn't helped him hit like Bariod.....
  21. Hola Heather... glad to hear things are going good 4 you!!
  22. Is this the old rope a dope thing? Make everyone think they are pushing for RJ and really go for Pedro? Talk about "under the radar". I would think Pedro would be great for this team. Leadership, been a winner and is a damn tough competitor. Is there a real chance the Sox may sign him though? Will they outbid the Mets? I'm not overly sure he is worth that but would be nice to have a pitcher like him.
  23. I read on SportsTerminal the Rox terminated Neagle's contract. Rockies terminate contract of LHP Neagle DENVER (Ticker) - Denny Neagle's indiscretion has cost him his job. The Colorado Rockies terminated Neagle's contract Monday, just days after the 36-year-old lefthander was arrested for soliciting a prostitute. According to multiple reports, Neagle was speeding when pulled over by an officer in Lakewood, Colorado on Friday. The officer reported that the pitcher smelled of alcohol and had his pants undone. A woman in the car, 40-year-old Jill Russell, told police she had performed oral sex on Neagle for $40. Neagle reportedly admitted to police that he was in the area looking for sex. Neagle was slated to make $10 million in 2005. As part of the five-year, $51 million deal he signed in December 2000, the contract contained a $12.5 million team option for 2006 with a $9.5 million buyout. "This decision is about an organization and the fans that support it," Rockies Chairman Charles Monfort said. "Denny's pattern of behavior has not been consistent with what our organization represents. "The Colorado Rockies have and will continue to place strong emphasis on character and accountability." Neagle missed all of last season with an injury. In 2003, he was 2-4 with a 7.90 ERA, making just seven starts in another injury-plagued campaign. In 14 years with Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Cincinnati, the New York Yankees and Colorado, Neagle is 124-92 with a 4.24 ERA. He is just 19-23 in four years with the Rockies.
