i would much rather see jose hitting lefty, as long as he hits fine against lefty pitchers. If he cant hit lefty pitchers from the left side then its not much of an improvement from not hitting from the right side.
i think it would be wise to think that uribe will play when theres a south paw on the hill.

Carmody deserved it. I thought that this was one of the worst NU teams in recent years. That says something. They turn it around in Big Ten play. Carmody did the most with his talent. Illinois merely matched expectations, at best.
i agree, bruce weber has a better situation then Carmody does player wise and to take his team from where they were to having a mediocre season is well deserving. Illinois had much higher expectations and they didnt really meet all of them. i think illinois has top ten talent but they didnt play like it all year.

i dont think these kids are making the right move by skipping college. i think college prepares kids very well for the nfl and most of the kids arent even prepared until they are juniors and seniors. i think the nfl's age limit rule was fair.

Stanford was due for a loss. They are really over-achieving, but I give them credit. They had a lot of injuries and while playing in a down conference this yearr, they still have been up for almost every game.
Washington flat out clobbered them yesterday though. Its probably better now, then having to continue having the pressure on their backs.
Wasn't it Umass that went damn near undefeated when they had Marcus Camby?
I dont know if Stanford will get a number one anymore because of there loss and not to mention there strenght of schedule. i would take duke, st joes, kentucky and Mississippi State as my number ones.

i would definetly have to say a fast start is something that would help us in the long run because a slow start has been affecting us at the end of the season when we are always trying to make up for lost ground.

If Bernard isn't healthy, I expect Valenzuela to get the 4th OF spot. Borchard is considered a top prospect(top 10 in the organization still), so they will want to see if he can develop into a good power hitter, and Reed absolutely will not be a 4th OFer with us, leaving us with basically no other choice then Valenzuela.
Part of me hopes Valenzuela gets it. I would love to see what he can do at the major league level, even if it is just as a 4th OFer.
i also want to see what valenzuela can do at the major league level. i think he has the potential to succeed but he needs a chance and this is a great one.

Well said Jas. My dad, who trades stocks for a living, said she saved about 200k. Either way that's nothing for her. As I said, the insider trading isn't going to give her the jail time, it's the obstruction of justice. Don't expect her to get years. What she did was wrong, but not extremely bad.
