bluejays blow they shouldnt be that high up on the rankings
are you kidding me the blue jays are a big time sleeper. they will do better then most people expect and will probably contend for a wild card birth if not the al east

im optomistic about jon rauch coming back from shoulder surgery. He was the Minor League Player of the Year in Baseball American and The Sporting News ni 2000 and hes got a bright future. I think he's gonna do well this year and earn the 5th spot in the rotation. He also averages 9.4 strikeouts per 9 innings pitched and is the tallest person to ever pitch in the majors. sounds a little like randy johnson.
-
what usually is predicted doesnt usually happen, we need to just go out and play the games and see who comes out on top. The sox are going to need to contend for the first couple of months though so that KW can go out and get some help. If that happens i think we gotta a legitimate shot at making the playoffs. :fthecubs

Griffey hasnt had a good since 2000 i mean come on this guy is prone to injury and you cant even come close to judging billy koch like that. He had one bad year, and maybe if he has another bad year you could say he's becoming the next griffey but for now its way to early to be calling koch the next griffey.

Maggs definetly has to have a better year then last year if he wants that kinda of money, theres no doubt about that. If he has the same year as he had last year dont expect to many teams to be offering him 14 million a year. His free agent value could definetly increase if he has a great year, and i think thats what he will do.

Maggs ranked higher then Sosa man i love it, Maggs finally gets recognition for being the best right fielder in town. :fthecubs

rex that was very well said, i think we just need to give neal some time to develop and i think he'll be alright in a year or two. I think the reason why he was having trouble last year is because he was brought up in the middle of a playoff race and that put a lot of pressure on him.

No trade between the Sox and twins could happen.
we werent talking about trades, we were talking about picking a guy up from free agency
-
I am a die hard sox fan and i would absolutely hate it if Mientkiewicz ever became a sox player. I find it hard to root for solid players that play for rival teams in our division. I find it hard to see KW picking anyone up before spring training though but what else is new?
-
Algright for starters why the hell are you guys talking about the twins in the first place. Signing Urbina would be just so amazing and who needs rick white anyways but hey then you wake up in realize you got KW and JR.
-
i think they'll give him the money cuz they could easily franchise him. KW will either trade him or give him the big money he wants so either way the cubs will still suck and yes the sox do need some solid pitching
-
I love mags and all but this deal is pretty solid. Oh yeah remember who Randy Johson was traded to the Astros for...thats right a guy named Freddy Garcia and some prospects of course. This guys not bad he just needs to get the hell outta Seattle. As for Winn hes a solid outfielder who can hit for average and Soriano is awesome. How could you turn down a deal like this?
-
I would rather see paul get traded hes not a consistent guy like Frank. Frank has proven that he can consistently draw walks, hit for power, and hit for average which is way better then what Konerko brings to the table. PK's hcareer avg. is only .279 compared to Franks career avg. of .310. Thats what i thought trading pk would be a much better idea then trading Frank.

agreed the orioles are way to overrated. miguel tejada is way to overpaid and they have one quality pitcher who will win 13-15 games if hes lucky. Also Javy Lopez and Miguel Tejada are the only two guys how pose as offensive threats. good luck comepting w/ the d-rays for last place
