QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 11:01 PM) Saw "Bruno" tonight. Funny as hell. I didnt find it very humorous at all. Was just a bunch of homophobic scenes, nowhere near as good as Borat. I saw hangover too, now that was f*cking funny.

QUOTE (hawkubes @ Jul 5, 2009 -> 12:41 AM) I agree 100% with this post, and how could anybody imply that Linebrink perhaps deserves a lower grade? I cant locate but I would believe that Linebrink to Dotel inherited runners scoring would be higher. Anyone know where to find such stats? Also amount of holds is ten to five in favor of Dotel, but cant find blown holds anywhere either.

Becks singled to move the runner into 3rd with one out but tried to stretch it to a double. Bad decision, was out by a mile. this set up wise -

QUOTE (qwerty @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 04:30 AM) After nearly 2000 innings (essentially a full season and a half) in the field anderson's career numbers literally hover right around the league average in every defensive metric known to man. If that is not mediocre, then i don't know what is. By your own words, its average then. Mediocre and Average are two seperate words with two different meanings. I dont get how you can statistically show BA being an average defender then in the same breath call him mediocre. While a lot of us are fanboys of BA and do overrate his D, you are just hating. He is in the middle, average.

QUOTE (Cubano @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 06:50 PM) Contreras may be the link to Chapman. http://cubanballplayers.blogspot.com/2009/...ed-aroldis.html Too bad there is a good chance Jose is gone after this year. Let's hope that doesnt end ugly like most sox departures. -

The best Cuban pitching prospect, Aroldis Chapman, defected
Stocking replied to Cubano's topic in The Diamond Club
From Trib: Extra innings: Jose Contreras and Ramirez concurred with scouting reports on 21-year-old Cuban left-hander Aroldis Chapman, the top Cuban prospect who defected while in the Netherlands during a tournament. "He throws 103 miles per hour," said Ramirez, who maintains Pedro Lazo is the best pitcher in Cuba. I hope Torres becomes his agent. Cubano, what the scoop on Lazo? -
3/1 -186 4/1 -179 5/1 -170 6/1- 165 7/1- 161 Still going to physical therapy for my elbow, so haven't been able to lift. However all June i did about 2,000 push-ups a week which added some mass to my chest. Continued swimming 3X a week(25min), Gym cardio 6X (25 min; stairs, elip, bike) and interval running 3X (20-30 min) a week, and Abs 3X(20min). The days i dont swim, i run intervals that i switch up. I really stuck to my diet and didn't have any alcohol this past month, so must be muscle that caused such a low drop of weight. Looking at pictures of my progress, has been my motivation.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 1, 2009 -> 07:10 PM) No, I want my doubles gap to gap hitter driving the ball not playing NL bunt and pray. Also considering how hot Beckham is, he is better off driving the ball and seeing what happens. No what? -

QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 1, 2009 -> 07:06 PM) totally agree especially with the way he's been swinging the bat lately I think that was Becks call, not ozzies. we'd be praising how intelligent it was to bunt seeing the corners playing deep had he succeeded. -
Hurry up with the pictures man! Again I am absolutely amazed, congratulations J4L. Now that the weight is off, have you thought about lifting more and cardio less?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 26, 2009 -> 05:48 AM) Mission accomplished and then some! Down to 155. That's 75 pounds dropped since November. I can't believe I did this s***. Big thanks to Rex and everybody in here for dropping countless tips/knowledge/ect. Now the REAL challenge begins. Maintaining this new healthy lifestyle. I hope I'm up for it. Amazing, great job. got any before and after photos to share?

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 26, 2009 -> 08:37 AM) You can, but I am guessing it's very hard. About how many servings do you have a day of fruit and veggies? Ill eat two large banana's, a large cup of mix fruits containing mango, pineapple, strawberries, apple, black/blue berries, cantaloupe. I eat about 25 baby carrots throughout the day, and a large salad for dinner. And while its mango season, I eat a whole mango almost daily as well.

dealing with tourists on a daily basis, i've got too many to list. Some favorites: Do you have internet? There are a whole host of questions dealing with hawaii being some remote island, where we don't recieve news or entertainment of any sort. Have you ever heard of craigslist? Whats the drinking age? I kid you not, how long does it take to drive here? What type of government we have? Seeing a pod of dolphins , look at all those sharks. You drive on the same side as we do. What type of currency do you use?yes we have espn. cable? Whats that. Yes we have us cell phone carriers, att, sprint, verizon, you name it. While im ranting, i don't give a f*ck what the weather is like where you just came from. Nor do i care what time it is there, or how off your sleeping is. Everyone visiting is dealing with it, you're not special.

here's a dumb question, can i eat too much fruit and vegtables? I snack on baby carrots and bananas like crazy. I know fruits are high in sugar, so more so the veg.

QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Jun 20, 2009 -> 08:41 PM) Does anyone think KW would seriously pursue him after next year? Or will the Twins lock him up to a long term extension sometime next year? If they want to keep target field full after its opening season, i couldn't imagine them letting a hometown phenomn hit free agency.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 19, 2009 -> 10:17 PM) I say do it, you can always move back, Chicago ain't going anywhere. Agreed, and while your're young and can. Everyone should leave 'home' for at least a year. So much out there to see, experience. Plus you'll grow to appreciate home a little more, or realize it wasn't where you see yourself growing old. Balls up and leave.
