  1. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 10:51 PM) Due to ATT, still the best phone out there Maybe if it were unlocked, but its not. The first two generation iphones couldnt even send a MMS. The technology in the Iphone has been around for years in multiple phones, apple just did a fantastic job of marketing it for the everyday person.
  2. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 04:02 PM) I'm not saying it's bad -- but I'm a very big advocate of "in moderation". I can drink diet coke or regular coke -- doesn't matter which, regular beer or light beer, again, doesn't matter which. It's not about drinking weird chemicals (diet coke) or calories and sugar (beer/regular coke), it's about not over doing it, and the same concept applies to what we eat. There is nothing wrong with a slice of pizza, but when a person eats 8, there is. I say exercise, be active, and eat what you want -- but eat responsibly -- and be consistent. And I'm not talking a year of consistency, but a lifetime of it, which is the hard part, moderation makes this easier if handled responsibly. Still, people tend to "over do it", and when I say that, it applies to either side of the spectrum (eating too poorly or too well), the same result ends up happening in the end. If all you do is eat healthy, light, fat free foods -- a day will come when you 'blow up' and toss that diet to the curb. In moderation... Believe me, it works. Curious whats your height, weight, and age. I agree that that may work for you and many, but not for all. moderation may keep weight down, but a diet like that isn't going to cut stubborn body fat. I know some of us are trying to cut body fat to a minimum, eating fruits, veggies, nuts, and dairy is the best way. Drinking plenty of water and staying away from both diet and regular soda when possible. A diet doesn't have to be a fad, rather a way of living. That said cheating is a must. Guess for tips a good way to get some omega 3 in your diet is to add a spoonful of flax seed in your protein shake.
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 06:26 PM) Unfortunately, mlb.tv does blackout games. This i know, which is why you need to get slingmobile to avoid blackouts. At&t isnt having it, you would need to go outside of an iphone in order to get it.
  4. Slingmobile is live Chicago Cable. So it doesnt matter where I live or am at. I've watched games in vietnam, as well as in chicago. If Chicago comcast, wgn, espn or any channel doesnt blackout the game, im getting it.
  5. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 09:33 AM) unfortunately blackout restrictions still apply, blah I've been watching Sox, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, all cable channels on my Nokia for the past two years. No blackout restrictions with SlingMobile. Iphone fanboys are soooo far behind in the world of technology.

Back to Band of Brothers, I know its said about every movie or series created but everyone should read the book by Stephen Ambrose. Actually anything by Ambrose is riveting. For as much as those men abhorred Sobel, they equally knew its was cause of him that they were so successful. The series really did an excellent job, though sobel is half the prick he is in the book.

  10. Got a new laptop, and the DVR HD feed will not work. Ive found out this is a problem for many, was wondering if anyone else has come across an easy fix. The NexDef will not download.
  11. QUOTE (BearSox @ May 26, 2009 -> 09:05 PM) I'm gonna have to finish MGS4 this summer. I got up to the snow area last summer, but because of doubles and NCAA 09, I got kind of sidetracked and never got back into it. I gotta finish it though. That game was great. Finish MGS4 but thought the game was meh. There is less than two hours of actually playing time, the rest is just cg clips. The gameplay was great, just wish there was more. On the snow area, go under the truck and snipe, easiest way to beat the rail gun. SNAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. 3/1 -186 4/1 -179 5/1 -170 6/1- 165 At the end of april i pulled something in my elbow. Been going to physical therapy, guess i just have a severe case of tennis elbow. Never knew how bad it could hurt. All May i haven't been able to lift, just been hitting cardio. Picked up swimming three days a week and still work my abs three times. Unfortunate, i was gaining some good muscle. Same same, elbow still Fuct, but im doing interval cardio, swimming, and pushups. Cant wait to lift when possible.
  14. thank you. Its ok shipps, i know you.
  15. Being a MLB.tv owner, this being my 4th season, the quality is outstanding. Hard to belive how far they have come. Even on my old ass Acer, todays game ran flawless. Buy premium.
  16. QUOTE (4 points @ Apr 4, 2009 -> 04:25 AM) While I enjoy the Sox love, Werth at 23, and Votto at 30, make this list laughable at best. Can you expand upon this?
  17. One month in: 3/1- 186lbs 4/1- 179lbs More than the pounds, i look much leaner. Put on some good muscle.
  18. While in other states the red light camera are working so well that they may turn them off to create more revenue. Im pretty sure this was posted before but http://www.engadget.com/2008/03/15/dallas-...since-theyre-w/

  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 24, 2009 -> 01:12 PM) The pictures they have you take are motivating enough. I sit about 6'1" and 185 pounds but have areas on my body that I would like to lean and tone, and nothing gives you that motivation until you see a picture of yourself from the back and check out the mid section. I told myself I would give it 90 true days and I will try and stick to it. Ive been very tempted to purchase as well. Instead I am giving myself 90 true days by myself to see what results i can achieve. If i dont get results i hope for, ill purchase it. I hope you stay focused, I'd like to compare. I am 5'10, started at 186. I started march 1st, have been dieting, eating healthy, and doing cardio and lifting. good luck.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 24, 2009 -> 03:13 AM) If Maggs won an MVP with the White Sox, left, was the best player in baseball for 10 years or so, came back and had a couple of productive years and was a lock to be a first ballot HOFer, yes, I think 30 would be retired. Its nowhere near the same. Perfect. I disagree but thank you for humoring me.
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 23, 2009 -> 05:38 PM) Greg Maddux was probably the best pitcher of his generation. He spent 9 years with the Cubs. He won a Cy Young with the Cubs. They are retiring his number. Your other scenerios do not compare. Get over it. Hey Dick, maggs played 6.5 years on the southside. Maddux played 6.5 For the Cubs before he left. Very similair senerios if Maggs were to come back for 1.5 more.
  24. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 23, 2009 -> 06:09 AM) That's ridiculous. If Mark Buerhle blows out his arm this year and wins 10 games, you wouldn't think its justified his 56 be retired if JR chose to do it? What about Harold Baines. His number was retired and he played 10 more years. He had only 2 full seasons with an OBP of .350 or higher at that point with the White Sox and had hit about 200 homers. Any team that wants to retire any number for any reason is justified IMO. The Miami Heat retired 23 in honor of Michael Jordan. He never played for them (but did make them some money). Mark blows out his arm and wins ten more games. No, i would not be in favor of retiring his number. I agree with Texsox that he needs a few more quality years as a whitesox. Harold didnt go on to play to play tens more years, hall of fame years at that, on one single team as Maddux did with the Braves. So if Carlos Lee goes on to hit 500+hrs and sox bring him back for one and a half years at the end of his career, we should reitire his number. How about Magglio. To each their own i guess.
