  1. Everyone but the ump knew that was a strike. Love Kopech’s passion.
  2. I was happy when the trade happened mainly because it would limit Leury's presence. Although Leury still plays too much, he's not playing at 2B. Now, I'm very happy about the trade because Cesar is a huge upgrade defensively and has so far shown to be a dramatic upgrade offensively. He's fit in so well, I don't even think about anyone else playing 2B each day other than him. When he was traded, there was a lot of talk about where he would hit. Most, if I recall, believed he should be near the bottom to help rid of the essentially dead 1/3 of the lineup. There were comments that it would be "so TLR" to have him bat 2nd. I think what we're seeing is that he can bat anywhere and improve the lineup. He's been getting on base a lot, and that helps when he's in the 2 spot...unless the #3 hitter rolls lazily into double play after double play. He can hit and has nice power, which helps when he's in the bottom third. Regardless, Cesar is the type of player the Sox needed down the stretch. And having him controlled through next year is a nice bonus.
  3. YouTube's camera work is much better than ESPN's was the other day.
  4. Definitely. I'd rather see Lambert and Lopez team up for another 6 innings today and have Lynn go against the Yankees. I'd be really surprised if the Sox roll Lambert out there tomorrow.
  5. I'm okay with limiting his innings. Just odd that they advertised he'd be pitching in the Field of Dreams game then put him on the IL.
  6. That was 400 ft when it hit the wall ABOVE the ivy. Had to be 450+
  7. Holy shit the camera work is atrocious.
  8. To answer my own question, it looks like the game would be suspended and restarted at a later date. All stats count.
  9. What are the rules now for rainouts? If they can’t continue tonight and it’s before an official game, what happens?
  10. What the hell? Dominating performance by Rodon. Yoan with a huge double. Hernandez proving he was an awesome acquisition. Abreu continuing to own Wrigley. How about a winning thread.
  11. Law of averages says one of these wins will ignite them…right? Maybe…
  12. I actually think this could be one of those wins that energizes a team and gets them going.
  13. Hendriks nutted up and got the win, appropriately. Goodwin with another huge hit. Lynn pitched well again, and was robbed of the win.
