It's amazing that these max effort guys like Kopech don't get hurt more often. There are a ton of muscles, ligaments, bones, etc. that are stressed when a guy throws upper 90s along with biting breaking stuff. The conditioning for these guys has to be insane. Let's hope his hamstring is fine and he can go for the double header.

I think we're finding out that Andrew Vaughn is a really good baseball player. His hitting is one thing and expected. But, he's shown to be a decent 1B and a surprisingly decent LF. As a rookie, being thrust into a position he's never player before, he's done a really nice job.

Meanwhile, Lucas Giolito stuck his tongue out at his friend and former teammate and had another great outing. Liam Hendriks came out in the ninth with the based loaded and said, "Crikey, this sure is a dog's breakfast!" and promptly struck out the side. It was a good evening on the southside, complete with a record cup snake. Now it's time to break out the brooms and sweep the cardinals back to St. Louis.
