  1. Of course he''s going to pitch in 21. Kopech will start in triple A and will probably be shut down in Late Aug/September. You cannot count on him being in a playoff rotation even if he's good enough. That's why I consider him in the 2022 "wave". He'll go the full season and be counted on from start to finish. As for Vaughn, I'd rather have MCCann back and rotate him Jose, and Grandall between 1st, C, and DH. Of course if McCann is fine with just catching, then by all means, bring up Vaughn to rotate with Jose.
  2. He’s not going to come up after missing two years and pitch 150 innings. They have to build him back up. Anyone expecting anything significant from him on the MLB level in 2021 is fooling themselves.
  3. Leave him down. Next year too. Extend McCann to a two year deal and let Vaughn be in the next wave with Kopech in 2022.
  4. I’d offer him a reasonable short term deal. 3/21 or such to catch 65-70 games and pitch hit. Being on a club like this makes guys want to stay even if they’re not playing every day. I can’t see someone offering much more than that anyway.
  5. I've only watched them when they play the Sox. They seem to be just fine.
  6. Dang. Black Panther passed away. rip
  7. Put Vaughn in right. Could it be worse?
  8. I'd try to extend him. Remember back when the plan was to have a rotating DH between players that could actually play defense? It ended poorly because they didn't have enough good players. Rotate DH, 1st base, and catcher between Abreu, Grandal, and McCann. Any chance Vaughn can play right field?
  9. Looked like he jammed it sliding into third. As he went down feet first, his arm hit the ground pretty hard.
  10. If I go to bed now I'll still get 6.5 hours... decisions
  11. Hell of a player, my favorite growing up, but he’s not a natural leader.
  12. When I went to bed it was 2-1 Sox. Looks like I missed a great finish!
  13. I hoped he'd become a player that can steer his little ground balls/line drives into the holes of the defense on top of playing near gold glove caliber defense. Nice little #9 batter who's bat won't be an issue once the Sox are at full strength.
  14. Just a hunch, but he's going to mow them down today.
  15. I'll support and visit your site.
  16. Ideally I'd like to see the leadoff take some pitches, but I'm in my 40's.
  17. Robert is amazing. Will they start throwing the first two pitches in the dirt to him? lol
  18. Imo, Moncada is the best player on this team and with his elite eye, he'll be able to contribute through batting droughts. That being said, I voted Robert.
