great story. i still have goosebumps thinking about that comeback. at the time i thought i was going to puke, can only imagine what the final four will do to me (or a sox world series for that matter). Love the fact the everyone said the Illini didn't beat anyone all seson when there's now 3 Big Ten teams in Elite 8 and possibly Final 4.

I haven't had the chance to see either Sweeney or Anderson play. Can anyone give a comparison to them with current MLB'ers, so I can have a general idea in their games and what to possibly hope for in the future?

I think I'd like to see them drop out of the number 1 ranking. It would motivate them to no end with the lack of respect factor that plays out so heavily in sports today.

I'll be very happy with final four, but deep down it would be very disappointing. especially if they run the table to st louie.

i'm not a fan of derrick johnson. i've been living in tx for the past two years and have watched every game. he never seems to make the big play and all of his tackles come 5-7 yards downfield. it's his speed that covers up all of his warts. he just lacks the instincts of a great linebacker. i smell a disapointment if he's drafted this high.

they're a sleeping giant. once they come to their senses and make JoePA retire, expect a full return to top 25 glory.

I say no to: michigan wr's penn st rb's and Jeff Tedford qb's

i can see skiles being replaced in a couple seasons when this team is ready to make a run. he's the drill sarge that whips teams into shape, then ships them out to their field commanders.

i think it would be a mistake for him to leave. he can't carry a team, but he is still more than good enough to win. they have a good o-line, and good running attack, and all those receivers are finally growing up. draft some defensive help and who knows? give it a couple more years Brett.

just because you are know for scoring in summer league doesn't mean you heave up threes in games that count. use some of that speed, get soem dribble penetration and kick out to open shooters (pike and deng were on the floor with him).

the calls were horrible as was the decision to play pargo for such a long strech during the second quarter. we had a twelve point lead and the guy starts heaving up threes and other very poor shots. someone shouldtell him to set up the offense with dribble penetration not settle for covered jump shots. going into the half in a close game when it should have been over is the reason for this loss.

hmmm. i always felt that DJ was cocky to Hawk and didn't really respect his opinon as much as Wimpy (Duke ). Maybe I just don't like him so I have selected hearing. Hawk is hands down the best play by play man in the business followed very closely by Pat Folley. His nicknames and sayings are clever and cool at the same time.

I wouldn't mind if DJ was replaced. The chemistry hasn't been the same since Wimpy left. Reminds me of when Dale Tallon left the Hawks broadcast booth, It just wasn't as good. imo- Steve Stone and Hawk would be great together.
