I should've known better than to click that video.

Can we delete this thread before this dude puts on a losing streak? -
Shame they couldn’t stash him somewhere.

I don't like blaming the umps, but that horrible strike called against Collins last night changed the game. Should've been a RBI walk. Find a way to win today!

The second the Rays show interest, I'm keeping him. -

Which is the exact reason they should've been slow stretching out Kopech. No such thing as a must win in early August, but losing a series at home to a team that just punted on the season would be extremely disappointing. -

It’s morning and Tony LaRussa is trending again.
black jack replied to Balta1701's topic in Pale Hose Talk
What's your point here? Are you just being counter argumentative? Some (not necessarily you) people are so anti TLR that they find fault in everything he does. Tony gave a reasonable explanation for why he yelled at the catcher. -
I don't fully know the rules, but lucky for us the Cubs were bought by a cash poor owner. Imagine if Cuban bought them? They'd be spending like LA.

He's maneuvering his way to us for 2022!

I love watching this kid play. Hopefully he squares up some fastballs soon. I'm missing those tape measure shots! -
Baseball is different than the other sports. The season is so long that having your team just be good and win is more than enough for me. Yes, I want the World Series, but if it doesn't happen I'm okay with that. I golf 3-5 times a week, ride a Harley on days I'm not at the course after work, and I live on the Chain O Lakes. Boating is a huge part of my summers. But nothing is worse than your baseball team sucking. Summer is just better when the Sox are winning games. Win 90+ games the next 6-8 years and continuously make the post season and I'll be pretty stoked. If they get eliminated, I'll be upset and disappointed, but not for long. I'll be applauding the team for the great summer and looking forward to what they can add to get better.

Have to fit him in somewhere. Kid is red hot and getting warmer!

There was another poster with an email for a name that was posting all the links too.

Nice. Very nice. He still has time to hit 15-20 homers.

Thank you! Trading quality pieces for bullpen help is a great way to slam your window shut.

Post of the century. Jack's "Chicken Little" is stale.

It's kind of a weird stat to try to go by. The Sox are a huge reason the teams they're beating are below .500. If you flip the results with Detroit, Minny, and Kansas City how many of those teams are now near or above .500?
-
How many innings can he pitch next year if they don't stretch him out a bit this year? Hopefully they start giving him 2-4 innings per appearance. Give him some foundation to build on.
-
Well that sucks. I was hoping the plan was to keep him in the bullpen to slowly stretch out the arm for September. That would keep him from reaching his innings limit in July.
-
Absolutely. It's also telling me that the season is long and you're guaranteed to lose 60+ games regardless of how good you are.

Moncada would've easily made it back to the plate if the ump didn't signal him safe. Once he signaled safe the play is over. The ump messed up and, imo replay made the wrong call. That being said, it's inexcusable to miss the plate. He knew he missed it and should've taken the extra care to go back and touch regardless of the ump's call. I would've.
