  1. Robert needs to stop. Play the game the right way. It’s going to result in a dropped ball at some point.
  2. I don’t care how talented your lineup is, when your approach is poor, you’re not going to maximize your talent
  3. It’s the approach. They seem to always be behind in the count. Can’t have a consistent offense that way.
  4. The strike zone has not been this team’s friend so far this year. Seems like borderline calls are going the other team’s way regardless of which side is hitting.
  5. Opener is way too progressive for this organization. After all, it didn't work the time they tried it with Carson Freakin' Fulmer. Therefore, it shall never work!
  6. I think most people believed it is easy to catch. Hence the problem. The argument between people stems from: 1. How it spreads 2. How (or if) to mitigate the spread 3. Severity of the virus.
  7. I don’t want to go down the whole political rabbit hole with you on this. I don’t have a problem with masks, per se. with that said, there’s no evidence from the CDC or WHO that masks are effective as it relates to the coronavirus. So I think it’s unfair to pinpoint that as a cause. I think blaming politics on and everything is a cop out. Things happen in life.
  8. I think of Publix shelf stockers as people too. They’re working.
  9. You can say that about literally any job. Is accounting worth dying over? Of course not, very few things are worth dying over. Yet life is still going on. Everyone has bills to pay.
  10. Anectodal vs. Statistics. Go with the anecdotal!
  11. Well in Florida, if you’re under 55, you have an approximate 1 in 33,000 chance of dying.
  12. That’s a side step. The point is people have contracted the Coronavirus while wearing masks religiously, washing hands, etc. I’ve seen it. So to use masks and sitting in the stands as a reason for this occurring is just conjecture.
  13. What proof is there that this would make a difference?
  14. I don't disagree. I disagree with the notion that there's time to "let the rookies settle in". Tomorrow, Sox up 3-2 in the 7th. 2 outs, runners on 1st and 2nd, Jose Ramirez up, which reliever are you more comfortable using: Cishek or Heuer? In a 60 game season, go with the guys who look the best. let them prove that they aren't.
  15. Who were the people saying Herrera and Cishek deserved the benefit of the doubt in high-leverage situations before the rookie, Heuer? Still have that stance going into the Cleveland series?
  16. I have to believe this is the first lineup against RHP. I don't hate Delmonico against RHP, along with Engel against LHP. We haven't seen Delmonico against RHP much lately. I'm resigned to the idea that Madrigal is not going to start with the big club.
  17. I'm not throwing him overboard at all. At the same time, the season is a sprint. This team might be good, but it's probably not good enough to throw away a multitude of games within the division. If the season started today, which RHP are you more comfortable using: Herrera, Cishek, Heuer? I jut am not very confident in this bullpen. It could definitely be good, but it requires a lot of squinting to envision it. Heuer at least looks like an additional arm that could be used to protect leads or preserve tie games.
  18. Yeah, exactly. I don't think they're worried about service time with guys that usually wash out after a few years. If the Sox are seeking to win games, Heuer needs to be up with the big club from Opening Day. Can't depend on guys like Herrera and Cishek to pitch in high leverage situations until they prove otherwise.
  19. Thank God ESPN doesn’t broadcast more Sox games. It’s insufferable.
