The fact that we never lose to Izzo I guess means nothing. PS: We beat them already this season at home and last season at Michigan State by 20 or 30 points. But Don't worry, Duke is goin down to Izzo.

Vermont looks like they are giving Michigan State a run for their money. In the Duke-Mississippi State Game, I think Duke is gonna have a lot of problems matching up with Roberts. The game is gonna be really close, Duke is playing like crap and Miss. St. blew away Stanford. They also were a #2 seed last season and have underachieved all year. I hate to say this, but I really don't like our chances. I hope I'm wrong.

It's a lost cause when you're arguing with people whi wished that the team they were rooting for had as much success as Duke. Duke= Yankees: They're hated because of all of their success. So when it comes down to it, this whole hatred is rooted back to envy.

They couldn't possibly have seen Redick, or else they wouldn't have made an idiotic statement like that. It sound to me like, thos types of people just get their info from what they've heard, rather then actually seeing them play.

How many people can make a comment about JJ Redick without actually seeing him? He doesn't play any defense? Why don't you ask Rashad McCants if JJ Redick plays any defense. And how is he no the best at what he does? Salim Stoudamire is definitely not a better player or shooter then JJ Redick. Stoudamire has taken less 3 pointers then Redick, he also makes less 3 pointers a game then Redick, he's not better then Redick at free throw shooting, and he plays in a conference with the likes of oregon State, Washington State, California, USC, and Oregon.

Well, I believe that we have the top recruiting class coming next year, so I don't know how many scholarships Coach K wants to give out, but it would be a hell of a recruiting job y Coach K if he stole the kid away from Illinois.

From one of my other posts. I feel that I do respect fans of different teams, I by no way disrespect Kentucky either, I just feel Duke would be able to beat them. As for Kentucky fans, it just so happens that the fans that I have talked to, seem pretty ignorant. Obviously all are not like that, but unfortunately I've come across a lot of bad ones.

got a little tidbit that affects this bracket. Sean Dockery, G, Duke, will be back for Friday's 1st Round match-up aginst Deleware St. He had been out since tearing a ligament in his knee. Should give Duke more depth heading into the tournament.

If you guys were reading my post, you would have seen that I said that not all Kentucky fans were dumb, but the ones that I have come in contact with, are in fact frighteningly stupid. Thats not being prejudice. (Thats also how it's spelled) Anyway, sure there are stupid Duke fans, but I'm not one of them. Thats not a fair judgment when I'm on a board filled with Illinois, UNC, and Indiana fans. I'm the only Duke fan who defends his team on here, but I have no problem with that. I just kind of find it funny wwhen Duke wins the ACC tournament (which by the way, most of you said they wouldn't), and then you have a guy come on and just say "F Duke", how intelligent is that? Going back to that championship game, I saw everyone on here saying how bad that JJ Redick call was, I thought it was ticky-tac as well, but I didn't see anyone on here talking about the 2 over-the back "no-calls" on that posession for Georgia Tech which got them offensive rebounds and shot after shot to tie the game. No one wanted to talk about that, I guess no one saw it. The fact is, is that you can't possibly call me an ignorant fan when not one person on this board has ever given a fair assessment of the team that I root for. It's easy to say "F Duke" all the time when you haven't watched a game all year. For a team as hated as Duke is, I expect this kind of stuff, so it really doesn't bother me. I like it when everyone roots for them to lose, and then gets proven wrong.

Jees, Eye, what did you think he was going to say, "our goal is to finish at .500 and in 3rd place". Every teams goal is to win the World Series. I just don't believe him anymore. From Analyzing our team, I'll tell you why: Scott Podsednik: Had a great rookie season, but tailed off dramatically. Juan Uribe: How in the hell are you going to get a guy who wants to swing for the fences, to be a small ball player. Tadahito Iguchi- So far we've heard a lot of disheartening talk from scouts and from MLB players who have seen him ex) Ray King, He's also never played in the majors before. Paul Konerko- After a terrible 2003, he rebounded in 2004 to hit over 40 HR's. But doesn't he have the capabiluty to hit .300 and hit 30 HR's. I take that instead. Aaron Rowand- Everybody's hyped on him, like myself, but wasn't this guy and underachiever hisa whole career until he finally had one great year. Jermaine Dye- Never even came close to repeating his career year, always hurt. AJ Pierzynski- Has no defensive capabilities, and has been known to be a clubhouse cancer. El Duque- Can't get through 1 healthy season anymore. His arm might fall off this year. Contreras- Has no control and no confidence. So far, a bust Shingo- Can hitters finally catch up to him this year. Buehrle- Is eh a true ace/ Garcia- Struggled since coming to Chicago I hope they win they win this year, but there are a lot of ?'s

Obviously not every Kentucky fan is an idiot, and you probably aren't, BUT, I can show you some other boards with members that back up my statements, i can also show you some posts by UK members on there, that fully show how accurate my statement is. i.e.) This is from a UK fan, now this statement is pretty true, they have more titles then us, lately we have been much better then them, but still, they are a more successful program then us. Now comes the response to that post by another KY fan: This is where they begin to show their real colors, Cheating? When, the Corey maggette thing? You've got to be kidding me. But, in my experiences with talking with other colleges' fans, I just believe that they show the most hatred, envy, whatever you want to call it, against Duke and College basketball in general. I don't think their is any match-up problems for us. With that 2-3 zone, Redick will be able to get some good open looks, which he has grown accustomed to not getting anymore. Any inch of daylight that guy sees at the basket, will be automatic for him. We'll probably have melchionni on Warrick which will hurt us, but I don't see any problems coming for Mcnamara. We'll have Ewing on him, and just yesterday, Majerus compared Ewing's on-the ball defense to Chris Duhon; and we all saw how he was able to handle Ben Gordon in the Final Four. As for Michigan State, we've faced them twice in 2 years with very similar teams. In the first game at Michigan State, we beat them by (I believe) 30 points. When we her home the game was decided in the middle of the 2nd half, but yet again we went cold at the end of the game, and they made a run to get it under ten points. Believe me, it wasn't as close as the score indicated. We never have problems with Tom Izzo and I don't expect that to happen now. I'd rather see Michigan State then Syracuse, even though, we will beat both. As for Kentucky, I was so gald to see them in our bracket. First off, because they have really annoying, uneducated fans, and 2nd, because I think they are the most overrated team in the country right now. Would anyone hear actually take Azibuike over Shelden Williams? What about Sparks over Ewing? Do they have anyone who can guard Redick? They just don't match up very well against us. As for Oklahoma, we played them on a neutral court already at the Garden and beat them pretty routinely. It was close at times, and they made a run at the end of the game, but I don't thinkany Duke fan was really worried too much. Williams had the advantage ober Bookout all night (Bookout-9 pts-2 rebounds), and Taj Gray was the one player who really gave us problems. Ewing also was able to play great defense on Lavender (8 points, 3 assists). We're going to the Final Four.

That Syracuse/Duke game will be great and I have no idea who will win. We can't stop Warrick and they can't stop Shelden, it's that simple. I'll take my chances though.

Ah, another rocket scientist wanting to put in his 2 cents, well lets get this over with: If you watched without any bias, you would have seen at the end of the game the 2 behind-the back fouls that weren't called, both resulted in offensive rebounds for G. Tech. Now I'm not saying that the Redick call wasn't bad, but in my opinion, it offset the other missed calls. It's a shame that all this went down at the end because in the first 38 minutes, the officiating was pretty good. When it comes down to it, who is the king of the ACC: it's not Wake Forest it's not North Crapolina it's not Georgia Tech it's Duke!!!! Say what you want, but they are still #1
