10 Reasons You Can't Miss Watching Sox-Cubs

I won't be able to sea ny of the games because my cable company doesn't carry WGN. Bastards at Cablevision. Screw you Dolen -
Its a Nice Win, But There are still a few Problems

Its amazing how people could believe that this team is going to make some noise in the playoffs. There is a good chance that they won't even be in the playoffs. How could you make a splash in the postseason when the team is the exact same as it was last year and the year before and the year before. Its called mediocre pitching, a bad bullpen, and the most inconsistent hitting in the American League. How does this team have a shot of doing anything in the playoffs even if they get a starter. Its great to be optimistic about your team and I hope they will make the playoffs and win the world series but sometimes you have to be practical. Nothing has changed over the past few years to make me think otherwise. -

Think about it, most teams who are going to the playoffs aren't just happy with getting more than 3 innings from their 5th starter. I said I was happy that he only gave up 1 run but come one, I have never seen him go past 5 innings in his starts both this season and 2 or 3 years ago. Last night when I said I was sick of this team, I still mean that and stick by it. I'm not a fool for saying it either. Last year in the offseason, sox fans were thinking back about those games they lost to Detroit. We could have been in the playoffs if we beat them. If we don't make it this year, you'll be the same people cursing over the fact that we lost these games and asking for Ozzie's head. -

Exactly, he kept the game close and thats great but we cant go every 5th day with him going 5 innings and then getting into trouble and being taken out. -
I might be sounding too greedy with this but Rauch only did half of his job. The 5th starter is suppose to give you an alright outing and eat up innings. Rauch pitched ok. He only gave us 5 innings though. We had to use Marte for another 2 innings and couldn't give the bullpen a rest. I'll take the win and the good outing by Rauch, but he has to start going deeper into games.

The whole point of the 5th starter, is someone who can give you some innings. Rauch can't do that -

This next inning for Jon is the big one. Now the hitters have seen him once and lets see how they do against him the second time. -
You say that because its just June, but last year we were losing like this to the Tigers in June and it ended up costing us a trip to the playoffs. Every loss counts, and until this team realizes that, they will never go anywhere.
-
Screw the White Sox, Jerry Reinsdorf and Kenny Willimas. They can all go to hell! I have to say Kenny W, maybe you can give up some good young pitchers for Todd Ritchie again you idiot. This whole team is full of losers. They make me sick.
-
I hate this team. No matter what, they just revert back to being losers. Thats why we always sit home and watch the twins in the playoffs.

His numbers aren't that great, but he could be a good #3 or #4. He pitched awesome on Sunday against San Diego and he always goes late into games. My favorite part of Miguel Batista is his playoff experience. No one on our staff has any playoff experience except Schoe. He pitched decent in the world series and can lead us in the postseason. I wonder what we would have to give up for him. 97 IP, 15 Games Started, 5-5, 3.99 ERA. 63 Strikeouts, 47 Walks, 85 Hits, 1.36 WHIP

Take Loaiza out now before he faces Pierre. Juan doesn't go 1-4, especially against a tired pitcher -

Have we hit a grand slam yet this year? -
Bush all the way. I don't want John Kerry running my country.

Do you want to make ma an avatar with bIlly Koch walking off the mound in disgrace after a blown save.
-
Exactly right. You can't win without a closer. You never know, Koch might be good as the set-up man. :fthecubs

Do you guys know that I just got into a fight today with Mark Kotsay's nephew. Right in the hallway. I did win. His nose was all bloody.
-
Do you guys know that I met Koch's dad. He sold my family some furniture for our living room. He had some cool stories on how he got to the big leagues.
