  1. Frustrating pitcher to watch. Resembles Clayton Richard
  2. rex hudler should go pop another pill god, he's annoying
  3. How does Hahn keep his job? How does he allow the primary backup OF to be Jerry Sands?
  4. QUOTE (Knuckles @ May 28, 2016 -> 08:33 PM) Keith Law said, Tim Anderson is available for a SP... *shrugs* He said he's available for a "mid-rotation pitcher". I thinks that's very fair value, Hahn... Doesn't seem like a panic move at all...
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ May 28, 2016 -> 04:32 AM) Still annoyed Rollins was like 5 feet from 2nd when Escobar was up. How many times so far vs the Sox has he already hit the ball in the 5-6 hole? I get being at DP depth but he was way too far up the middle. He shouldn't be playing everyday. There is absolutely no difference between his and Saladino's bat. Why not play the younger player with the better glove? Pure stupidity
  6. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ May 28, 2016 -> 04:25 AM) He's a mental midget as well. Too often when the lead is blown someone in the mental midget dept. will pad the loss. I'm not saying he isn't, but besides Robertson, he's the highest leverage reliever this team has. Why on earth would you bring in a gas can to face their hottest hitter, when you can just as easily walk him and bring in your better reliever? It's almost as if he has some sort of managing manual he printed out from Wikipedia... "Lefty against lefty, I MUST make this move!
  7. Just the idea that Jones did end up pitching in the 7th, but only after the lead was gone. I'm mesmerized by the stupidity involved in that thinking.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 28, 2016 -> 04:07 AM) You want to PH Avila there for him? Saladino? Our bench has no options to get a hit against Davis... The guy's OPS against RHP is under .500 ANYONE stands a better chance...
  9. Just cannot and will not ever get over the hosmer decision. I'm not sure there is another manager in baseball who would have made that same decision. It made no sense from any angle.
  10. Will ohman Scott downs Zack Duke Maybe Moyer can come out of retirement...
  11. i go with my best in that situation, lefty be damned. i would've gone jones.
  12. Chris Sale might be less mature than Drake LaRoche. Talk about overreacting... Does anyone in that clubhouse focus on baseball?
  13. I just hate watching this. I miss playoff baseball so much. Why do we have such ignoramuses running this organization?
  14. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 25, 2015 -> 01:23 AM) If people don't want to watch the Sox, then just don't watch them. We're better off without fair-weather fans. Just don't come back when we start winning. when the hell is that going to be? I have absolutely no faith in the hierearchy of this organization. Perhaps when the team is sold, KW has moved on to becoming a featured husband on a future rendition of "Real Housewives of Chicago", Buddy Bell is hooked up to a transfusion tree, betting jai alai in Boca Raton, and Rick Hahn has transitioned to his inevitable position as a Fossil Fuel lobbyist on K Street. Maybe thats when I'll begin to have some faith.
  15. They've been unwatchable since game 1. How could you blame fans for not wasting 3 hours a night on this?
  16. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 05:36 PM) Really? My post was a joke, but you're arguing that adding Rodon, Fulmer, Adams, Anderson, Montas, Garcia, Abreu, Eaton, etc. made our talent worse? Rodon is a top 5 pick as a result of a bad team that Hahn put together Fulmer is a top 10 pick as a result of a bad team that hahn put together. Also note that he hasn't thrown one pitch of professional ball yet. Adams might be a good pick and he might not be. He's holding his own in Low A. No reason to get excited for another couple of years. Anderson isnt exactly lighting the world on fire in AA Garcia has been good overall. Considering they only gave up Peavy, the trade is a win. How much of a win we don't know. I will say that While Garcia is better than what we have, he's also a guy with a .733 OPS and a 104 WRC+. he's been good, but lets not go overboard. Couple that with defensive play and it is what it is... Acquiring Montas was a good move, but this season his K's are down and his walks are slightly up. he has talent, but he has more seasoning left. Abreu was a good signing.Better than anything they had. I hope being in the organization doesn't hamper his ability. I'm not going to brag about Eaton. He hasn't been good this season and he has an attitude problem. That trade is 50/50 right now. I hope Eaton will be the leadoff man for this team for years to come, but he has an 84 WRC+, his walks are down, his K's are up, he can't steal bases,. and his defense isn't that good. By this organizations standards, he's an improvement, but thats not saying much.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 02:48 AM) Problem is if you really want to rebuild, then Sale/Quintana/Abreu need to be traded. By the time a rebuilding team would be ready to compete, their contracts will almost be up. There are too many crappy players in the organization to get enough prospects to make a rebuild work well I'm al for trading these guys at this point, I don't think this team is remotely close to competing. Having said that, I dont want these guys traded until Hahn, KW, Buddy Bell, Marco Paddy (and his pet Nestor Molina) are all gone and someone slighly competent is brought in.
