  1. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Oct 1, 2013 -> 08:29 AM) Highlighted... Why, and why? I'm asking this in a serious fashion, too. People tend to get suckered into all of these supplements and diet ideas, when most of it's not necessary. But first, I'd need to know more about you, your lifestyle, your body type, how much you eat, what you eat, etc. I realize this is a lot of questions, but in order to answer what you asked, the person answering needs to know a LOT of information, otherwise, all they'll be doing is telling you what works for them, which will undoubtedly NOT work for you. To the first bolded text, how much natural protein are you ingesting with your normal diet? Are you a vegetarian? If you're already eating meat/eggs/dairy multiple times per day, odds are you don't need ANY protein supplement unless you're a 250 pound bodybuilder with an over the top hollywood physique. Are you trying to drop body fat? That's fine to use protein powders in order to get fat free/carb free protein, otherwise ... why? Second, see the first. Why? Are your goals to blow up and get bodybuilder huge? I suggest eating a banana pre-workout, maybe a little coffee, but preferably just water, and not much else. Most of this is gimmick that's designed to empty your pockets, and serves as more of a placebo on your workout than anything else. Unless you're getting to the gym, dog tired and unable to do anything, why do you need all of these pre-workout artificial boosts? And IF that is the case, maybe you should ask yourself why you're lethargic in the first place, as you may have other issues. ^^
  2. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 30, 2013 -> 11:19 PM) I'm better looking than he is, I know. *snarky comment that will get me banned*
  3. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 1, 2013 -> 06:34 AM) You know Duke, you can just go f*** yourself right up the ass. I'm getting my furlough letter in about 30 minutes and my family of four is going to be without its sole source of income. I didn't do anything to you or anybody else to deserve this. If you think that there are too many government employees that's fine, but if you think suddenly cutting off the income of a million employees who haven't done anything wrong is fine, then you are a disgusting person. ^
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 08:59 PM) Well, she's not married. She's still on the market. It's like that old episode of "The Office" where Jim wants Pam, who is engaged to a moron. Michael Scott said to Jim, "She's not married; don't give up." It can be that simple, though distance is probably prohibiting you from standing a chance. are you really equating Nuke with Jim? because... i can... come up with... a few... differences... (in my best awkward stewie griffin voice)
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 08:27 AM) Was this a "first love" or not? oh no. I'm 27. please.
  6. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Y2HH was right. got coffee with the ex last night and talked for like 4 hours, and yes I need to get my ass laid. mission accepted. for three months I was totally cool with everything - see her again and it's like OMIGOSHILOVEYOUshutthef***upbrainyou'rearetard. b****es.
  7. First ever fantasy football team, and I'm 3-0! that Bears defense today. Love it.
  8. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 20, 2013 -> 09:51 AM) What a peaceful place, take notes America: Banning guns works! see Australia.
  9. This article made me really sad... not about our future as a club, but sad that I'm never going to get to chant "Paulie" again. He's been part of the White Sox for the VAST majority of my fan-dom, and it's really weird to think he'll be gone after this week. :/
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 19, 2013 -> 12:44 PM) I like Wilson this week. fantasypros.com is a good aggregation site for rankings BTW. nah i know, they have Romo at 51% to Wilson's 49%
  11. ugh... my lackluster QB corps have me in a dilemma... Russell Wilson or Tony Romo... pretty much every site says one or the other is primed for a "big week" Jared Cook or Gonzo? how do you people make these choices in fantasy football? There's a reason I never have bench hitters in my baseball leagues. Too much tinkering.
  12. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 09:49 AM) There are still rules to follow in the buster, of which I'm an expert on. Reddy is always crying foul here trying to get people banned as if the mods cannot read, though. He should probably just not be here with his thin skin...if/when someone does something against the rules, there is no need to cry about it, Reddy. They can read/see, and if necessary, they'll take care of it without you crying like a girl every time. See that personal attack, Reddy? I called you a girl. i dont care if anyone else throws out personal attacks, but I have beef with Duke.
  13. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 06:04 PM) I giggle with anticipation of all these government workers actually having to get a real job without some criminal union protecting their incompetence. Welcome to the real world guys! You may have to work once and a while. are you really a person? i'm honestly just baffled. do you enjoy driving on roads? because without govt workers, you wouldn't have any. people like you confuse the hell out of me
  14. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 08:06 AM) This seems off the point for a 34 year old shooter. these were thoughts re: gun control in general - sorry if that wasn't clear.
  15. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 07:48 AM) Can't really agree with you on breaking a window vs going to prison because your kid shoots or kills someone. At all. So parents should only be held responsible for their children's' minor indiscretions? Explain please. Where is the line, and why?
  16. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 17, 2013 -> 10:27 PM) So I'll ask this one more f***ing time before I just cement my assumption that you're a state worshipping shill who leads such a pathetic excuse for a personal life that you meekly grasp onto to your precious society because god help you if you ever had to do something for your own damn self... at what point do you say to yourself "enough laws have been passed and now I'd rather see the consequences of inaction rather than the consequences of action"? One, holy personal attack batman. But two: I never worry about action, but only inaction. Winston Churchill There are risks and costs to action. But they are far less than the long range risks of comfortable inaction. John F. Kennedy Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all. Norman Vincent Peale Iron rusts from disuse; water loses its purity from stagnation... even so does inaction sap the vigor of the mind. Leonardo da Vinci The price of inaction is far greater than the cost of making a mistake. Meister Eckhart A person may cause evil to others not only by his actions but by his inaction, and in either case he is justly accountable to them for the injury. John Stuart Mill Here's the upshot. To choose inaction; to say "there's nothing to be done"; to throw up our arms and say "welp, can't fix it", violates the very crux of what makes us Americans in the first place. What you suggest is absolutely pathetic - no other way around it. It's cowardly, and it's weak, and it just shows that YOU are the very lemming you label us to be. Faced with a difficult dilemma - a seemingly unsolvable problem - you choose the path of least resistance. Whatever dude. I'd rather grasp onto society and be a "shill to the state" than be wherever the hell you are: alone and miserable as a hermit, but with a lot o' guns to keep you company.
  17. My answers re: Gun Control having thought about this at some length. 1) stronger background checks self explanatory 2) parental liability (gun owner liability) When that 10 year old throws a baseball through the neighbor's window, Dad has to pay for it, but when that 10 year old shoots someone, Dad's not at fault. Seems inconsistent. If you put the parents at risk of legal repercussions, maybe they'll lock up their guns better. 3) gun safety classes gun safety courses mandated in public elementary schools. Never thought I'd suggest something like that, but this is an issue that isn't going to change. Gay marriage and weed are issues the GOP will never win, and this is one liberals will never win, so you have to think about ways to work inside the system. All in all, pretty easy, and a bit more viable than BAN ALL THE GUNS (but don't tell anyone how to get rid of them or how much it'll cost to do so)
  18. isn't it nice how mass shootings are now becoming so commonplace we don't even talk about them in the buster anymore? i guess everything that needs to be said has been said, yet somehow it keeps happening over and over.

    Twitter/Facebook

    QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 01:10 AM) Cmon Soxtalk, I'm doing a survey. Do you use Twitter and Facebook and please give me a few comments on what you think of each. Greg says re. Twitter: Hilarious to read all the second-guessing of coaches and quarterbacks on Twitter over the weekend. If you like negativity in your life, you embrace Twitter. My gosh. Greg says re Facebook: I have some family members scared to death of putting their "personal information" and pictures on there. They say they don't want people in their past knowing what they are doing. I say I LOVE letting people in my past know what I'm doing. Do you folks use Twitter and Facebook? Do you like them? I wish both would go away, but use both. why do you write in the 3rd person???? i seriously think this guy's been trolling us for the last half decade
  20. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 06:04 PM) Yes its legal. At this point I'm familiar enough with liberal horses*** to know "jobs" means "excuses why I don't have one" and equality means "more free s*** please." So I wouldn't expected anyone with any dignity to show up for the Rally for Handouts and Laziness. you do realize, of course, that most liberals are not, themselves, poor?

    QUOTE (dasox24 @ Sep 15, 2013 -> 01:59 AM) After sex? how are you supposed to use them?

    After Sex . . .

    a towel... EDIT: a really big one.
  23. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 9, 2013 -> 10:13 PM) a lawyer/lobbyist having sex with women outside of his marriage =/= a history of discriminatory rhetoric and policy shhhhh logic is not tolerated here
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 01:45 PM) http://www.paradisepost.com/ci_24058868/wi...nations-tallest watch out guys. this one's in the 'buster because it's a sure bet to get HEATED!
  25. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 9, 2013 -> 11:12 AM) Making dinner together, something that actually requires cooking, is a good date. Very few women will not like this as it will allow you plenty of time for conversation and you could gauge her culinary prowess at the same time. Cuz after all, what's the point of a woman if she can't make you top shelf sammiches?
