  1. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 11:23 PM) Well, ok now...Obama won, all our problems are solved...right? RIGHT? just like last time!
  2. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 10:47 PM) Most of Santa Rosa in and Obama still in the lead with Miami-Dade and Broward still outstanding. He's outperforming his 2008 result in Miami-Dade, if he can maintain that margin, its not going to be a recount kind of situation in Florida either.
  3. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 04:01 PM) Fox News ‏@FoxNews Obama and Romney in a dead heat among undecided voters. Really? If they are truly undecided, then how do you know who they are voting for? lol fox is hilarious
  4. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 01:18 PM) http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/electi...ard_661843.html bout time we started fighting back! too bad we're doing it in... Chicago...
  5. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 09:03 AM) We begin a new tomorrow, tomorrow. How the hell could you want a President that says that? what an idiot. haha
  6. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 07:43 AM) If there was ever a profession I don't mind saying they pay too much taxes, it's professional athletes. They're gonna be broke as hell in 10 years! ...because of their own stupidity... that shouldn't be rewarded.
  7. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 10:40 PM) are you saying... Brian Urlacher is an idiot? i would never dare say such a thing. HOW COULD YOU!?
  8. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 10:01 PM) you guys absolute love your homer announcer. he's seemingly in every post. it's adorable. you do know that GOP only don't like him because he only got into politics in the last few years, and in those years he accurately predicted dem victories... he's not biased in his number crunching. (stats don't lie)
  9. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 10:21 PM) Urlacher said he doesn't like to pay taxes. i take that as a Romney endorsement. people who don't like to pay taxes are idiots.
  10. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 12:50 PM) Their first job is to protect Obama. Accurate reporting is not important accurate reporting hasn't been important for ANY media, MSNBC, FOX, whatever. Don't care what direction they lean. I'm with Nate Silver - the news is no longer news, but entertainment.
  11. After 3 days of volunteering I saw my first Red Cross team today. (and by team I mean a girl and a guy driving a Red Cross truck) Guess what they were doing? Photo ops. Not helping. Taking pictures of the truck in front of torn up homes. Glad NBC raised $23 mill for those douchewads.
  12. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 4, 2012 -> 10:46 PM) I got the impression that they are having a really hard time actually reaching the area due to all kinds of different things they had mentioned (streets/bridges closing, lack of gas, etc) then how are we reaching it? we're untrained volunteers...
  13. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Nov 4, 2012 -> 08:41 PM) And I saw that mid-week, the area is going to get hit by another storm. Not "superstorm" or anything, but bad weather, where they do NOT need it. yep, gonna get a nice noreaster on top of everything. not good.
  14. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 4, 2012 -> 02:45 PM) That's an interesting alternate reality you've got there. unfortunately he's actually right, as much as i hate to say it. i'm here. i'm volunteering on the ground in these areas. FEMA and the Red Cross are nowhere to be found and the media's ignoring the atrocities that are going on. I can't defend it.
  15. hey y'all. day 2 on the ground. was in one of the hardest hit areas today and ... i still don't have words to describe it. but i'm pretty certain folks are going to freeze to death over night. Going to get to the high twenties, and there are tons of seniors and kids with no food, no water, and no heat. The Red Cross and FEMA are completely useless. If you can spare it, please consider donating to: https://www.wepay.com/donations/occupy-sand...anup-volunteers Regardless of your political beliefs, the Occupy movement is the only organization doing ACTUAL good on the ground, mobilizing supplies to the hardest hit areas. These people really need your help.
  16. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 4, 2012 -> 10:23 AM) The electoral college is s*** and should be abolished. But it's existence has an impact on the national vote totals. You can't assume that what happens on Tuesday is the same voting pattern that would emerge in a true national vote. the electoral college has problems, but a pure popular vote isn't the answer either, because it disenfranchises people in rural areas. i'm not sure what the answer is though.
  17. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/la...olls/elections/ just start scrolling and lemme know what you notice. color-wise.
  18. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Nov 4, 2012 -> 09:31 AM) As of 8:30 this morn, Obama is ahead or tied in every national or tracking poll. Romney has no lead in any national poll. game. set. match.
  19. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 05:49 PM) You'd obviously rather be in Obama's position, but a 20% chance isn't horrible and far from the realm of impossible. Nate gave a good football analogy the other day. Obama's 79% (at the time) chance is like being up by a field goal with 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Odds are, you're going to win, but it wouldn't be shocking if the other team managed to pull it out. right - but he's in a MUCH better place than on Oct 11
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 01:18 AM) With the election allegedly pretty close to call, is it safe to say Obama actually blew it in the debates? If Obama loses, were the debates the key? He came across as kind of mean and sort of arrogant. the race isn't close anymore. people will tell you it is, but everything is trending Obama's way. I predict an electoral college landslide. Check this out (Nate Silver): the big dip is after the first debate.
  21. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 03:31 PM) Isn't it true that the candidates will know who won even before Election Day begins? I read somewhere that candidates know exactly what is going to happen at 5 a.m. on Election Day. that, my friend, is what's called a conspiracy theory.
  22. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 03:33 PM) The NYC marathon has gone the way of the Winter Classic: canceled thank. god. they had to though - it would have gotten even worse if there were protests etc.
  23. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 02:52 PM) Staten Island residents have been complaining of being largely ignored despite taking some of if not the worst of the storm. it's getting ugly fast.
