QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 12:43 PM) Is this where I claim that every politician sucks so that everyone knows how realistic I am? sure. cuz you're right. but that doesn't mean there isn't a lesser of two evils.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 12:35 PM) Well, one can't get upset at rich republicans voting for representatives that pass along laws and taxes more favorable to them. but one CAN get upset about poor southerners who don't pay income tax voting for the guy who wants to screw them.
-
QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 11:23 AM) Always semantics with you, unless it comes from the mouth of a Republican. Face it, what he said was true, and you helped provide an example. People are gonna vote to keep their free stuff coming from Uncle Sugar. And people who pay no taxes don't really care about lowering the tax rate since it doesn't effect them (that they can see). hahaha yes of course i'm gonna vote for the guy who's helping me as opposed to the guy who's hurting me. i'm not sure why i should be vilified for that. i'm pretty sure that's how people SHOULD vote... lol

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 11:07 AM) So Mitt was right, the people feeding at the government teat will just vote to stay at the teat. i'm sorry, Obama allowed me to be covered by my parents insurance till i turn 26. I apologize for taking advantage of that. i know it's so wrong of me as a small business owner and job creator.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 10:59 AM) I was just messing with you on that point. And the student loans thing, wasn't that just an expiring extension of something GW Bush did? Aside from healthcare, which is a can of worms in and of itself, he's GW 2 in every regard. * For healthcare, I think he did well to do some basic insurance reforms...but it didn't do nearly enough. Doctors/hospitals and pharma is still able to do whatever they want in regard to cost. People continue to blame insurance for being so expensive...when they're not the ones that send the bills. The ones that send the bills, however, weren't touched. I find that annoying. you might recall a certain congress that may or may not have been fighting every single measure put on the table...

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 10:29 AM) Take you for example...from the beginning, before Romney spoke a word, you were voting for Obama. See, I do have an idea...more so than you, because unlike you, I think both candidates are terrible. Where as you come into every conversation with an inherent bias toward loving Obama. So you couldn't see the other side of this argument if you tried. *sigh* do we really have to go through this again? I think Obama has done some f***ed up s***. I think he's a p****. I think he's got no backbone. I think his first term showed how unprepared he was for the office. however, he's given me healthcare, made my student loans manageable, and for that alone he's worth re-electing in my book.
-
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 10:11 AM) It didn't cost him any votes. It didn't gain him any votes. If they were going to vote before, they still will...for the same people. In a day, they won't even remember this, or they'll deny he said it...they have an episode of Big Brother to watch. lol you have absolutely no idea if it will cost him votes or not. and you're absolutely wrong. by your logic, the moment the candidates are announced, people already know who they're going to vote for and we should just have the election then. if what you're saying is true, can you explain why polls swing one way or another over the course of a campaign?
-
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 10:13 AM) ...and if too many liberals believe what you just said, less of them will actually turn up to vote. Careful. Keep in mind that anything they say right now, almost nobody will remember in November. this is a pretty big bombshell... and if the polls do enough reflecting of it now, they won't come back up.
-
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 06:48 AM) People are trying to make this mean more than it actually does. It won't affect the votes he was going to get from them anyway. The same poor people that were going to vote for Romney will still do so. The same poor people that weren't...won't. Think about it, do you honestly think that the gun rights religious crazies in the back hills of are going to vote for Obama? Not a chance. By that same token, do you think many people in the Englewood area are going to vote for Romney? Again, not a chance. who's to say they'll vote at all. Romney literally just said he doesn't care about them and he wants to raise their taxes. (by saying that they aren't paying enough and should be)

Game, set, match. Thanks Mitt, you beat yourself.

I'm attempting to bump my caloric intake up to 4,000 calories a day of healthy food. I'm at 3,200 already... one more meal to go in two hours... dunno if i'll get 800 calories in there... but s*** it's tough to eat this much. My definition and muscularity has improved dramatically in the last 6 months, but i still want more actual meat on my bones. And I ended up grabbing Asics Gel-Cirrus33 running shoes. They're not cross trainers, but they're usually $150 and I got them from a place going out of business for $75. Couldn't turn that down. So may still grab something for lifting/casual use and save these guys for actual running.

QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 06:15 AM) Ok, so I took the bait. k except her... unless she also has an accent. don't dig the russian/eastern euro accent like everyone else seems to. lol
-
QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 03:32 AM) She's not bad, but she's just another girl out here in Eastern Europe. Not tooting my own horn but I'd say my girl out here has her easily beat. You don't realize how poor the quality of women in the USA is generally speaking until you travel to places like Poland or Ukraine. there is nothing about eastern european women i find attractive.

QUOTE (sunofgold @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 10:39 PM) Not a bad idea. It can be hard sometimes to pop the question. Easier to spell it out than To say it. Pods has the hottest wife out of all the current and former WhiteSox players. The most unfairly treated spouse was mrs. Teahen in that Ugly Twitter war with the Guillens this girl is 30 times hotter than pods' wife.

running my first live Fit Club on friday in midtown manhattan. exciting stuff. also going to break the $1,000 mark this month as a coach. Only took me 4+ months to get there. tellin' you guys - if y'all dig P90X and have ever recommended it to your friends, and need to supplement your income, shoot me a PM. this thing can change your life. Real question though. looking for a new cross-trainer that offers good lateral support. Any opinions?

I'm BACK! (got banned. whoops) don't just do nothing. you've got arms you can work, you've got a core you can work. Tony H tore his biceps last year, popped clear off the bone. He kept working everything else anyway. Got a ton of leg work and core work done. So don't get down on yourself and don't let this derail you - just think of it as an opportunity to get huge guns!

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 09:31 AM) You got your question answered, you just didn't like the answer. haha no i didn't. you answered my question with "YEAH WELL.... you guys did it too, so there!" and you stuck your metaphorical 5 year old tongue out at me.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 08:57 AM) Democrats do when they assign Bush the blame for the 2001 recession which started 6 weeks after he took office. ask anyone here if they blame Bush for that. and frankly, i'm sure that gets lost anyway in the myriad of other things he f***ed up. lol again, dodge and deflect. it's all you do!
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 08:53 AM) There was no substance in that post. It was a left wing rant with no basis in reality. other than to suggest that workers get compensated fairly and to encourage capitalism at its finest and suggest that the wealthy actually pay their taxes. QUOTE (Cknolls @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 08:43 AM) Has BO been President for only 2.5 years or 3.75 years? So has a net 300,000 jobs since he took office. If you are going to use the "we were losing 750k jobs a month when we took office, then you have to use the same metric for jobs created." And that number is 300,000. The auto industry is not fixed. SO who is lying/misleading people? The only thing pointing upward is his nose when he talks to people. I'm pretty sure Chrysler is a brand again right? Please explain to us how the auto industry was not fixed. secondly, you're going to hold THIS president accountable for the job situation the first 6 months to a year he was in office? because if so, you are even more ignorant about how politics works than I thought. (remember from your social studies classes in middle school: the president has to have the support of congress to get things done!)
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 08:09 AM) typical SS response. how bout you actually write something of substance in response instead of dodging and deflecting?
