QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 08:10 AM) I prefer to think of them as great lessons for not reacting like a menstral 16 year old who just got dumped by her boyfriend on prom night everytime the Sox make a move. +1

QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 07:57 AM) BTW, they are pushing the coaching stuff a lot in the second P90X...before like every routine he talks about it it seems, and how all the people in the videos are coaches... I must say, that part of their business, I don't care for at all... yeah I just think the way they've approached it has really sucked. The idea in and of itself would have been a decent one - all these people who have really committed, done the program, and gotten results that are hawking P90X anyway, why not have them do MORE of that and get a cut. Makes sense to me. But the way they're just trying to get EVERY SINGLE PERSON who does a beachbody program to do it is a little messed up. My friend had dinner with Tony and a couple other of the big cats last week, and she said she got LOTS of info that turned her off bigtime on the coaching thing. Haven't had a chance to talk with her about it... but we'll see

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 09:14 PM) well youre that too, my coach Tiffany, and a lot of other coaches ive got to know on facebook all have their job title on fb as a fitness/motivational coach so thats where I get that from. I actually injured my knee playing rugby so i havent done anything in 2 weeks but I lost 34 pounds in 6 weeks and i did that by simply following the p90x nutrition guide I got and doing what the DVDs told me to do. No outside knowledge was needed. oh yeah dude I'm not arguing the program WORKS. of course it does. It was designed that way for a reason. and no, to be a successful coach you don't have to know anything - you just have to be business and marketing savvy. Unfortunately, because of the way Beachbody's set it up, by calling us "coaches" it misleads everyone involved. People come to you thinking you know more than they do - and if you don't - that's just unfair to them and also to the coaches who actually DO, because it gives us all a bad rap.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 10:51 PM) Not sure where Ozzie Guillen gets any credit here...the Humber signing and development seems to be 95% about Hahn and Don Cooper. ozzie had NO part in acquiring or developing Humber. None. -

QUOTE (Tuna @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 09:35 PM) So, if anyone has ever seen the movie Fever Pitch, impaticularly the part where he goes out with his girl to show her he loves her more than watching a Red Sox/Yankee game, the Red Sox make it an epic game and he missed the whole game and started yelling at his girl...that was my day today and I think I may be getting a divorce. I'm still more upset about missing the game than I am about the divorce. guess the divorce is probably a good idea then... -
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 09:32 PM) Great, great post. Glad to see Ozzie and Walker both doing well. you, uh, think Ozzie's doing well?

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 09:29 PM) Like him or not, Cowley is the only one in Chicago sports media to write this truth: @cst_Cowley Biggest load of crap in this city. Cub fan is just as obsessed with the Sox, but better at pretending he's not. did you read the article caulfield posted? Cowley rips the sox repeatedly even after one of their pitchers throws a friggin perfect game. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 09:10 PM) Ivan Nova won 16 games and put up an ERA of 3.70 as a 24 year old. Garcia's basically their 6th starter if they have everyone...they're missing Pineda right now, as I noted. Hughes is actually probably a bigger weakness than Nova. We might well have a better rotation than those guys, but it's certainly not an open and shut case. You might take Humber over niemann, but I'll take Matt Moore over Sale. And Feliz is in the same situation as Sale, coming out of the bullpen. 1) but the yankees DON'T have everyone. We've got the better rotation. And even if they did, I don't buy Pineda in pinstripes, Hughes is terrible, and Nova is nothing to write home about. You think Petitte's gonna be more than a 4 era guy now? OH and I forgot Kuroda. He's terrible. Switch to the AL and NYC of all places? Psh. 2) Sale was a starter more recently than Feliz. I'll take Matt Moore too for the long haul, but I really don't think the difference between the two is drastic. Humber is slightly better than Niemann, Moore is slightly better than Sale. It's a wash. 3) Ogando is in their bullpen. Feldman isn't anything special. and he's hurt. See point number 1. And that ENTIRE rotation is fully capable of putting up 4+ era's. Every one of em. I know we're in the same boat - but that's my point. They ain't better. -
QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 06:50 PM) I was working the motivational angle, after all your job title is a Fitness/Motivational coach. The videos and the nutrition guide tell you what to do and what to eat so you dont really need to "know what youre talking about" . Youre a product of the product, you dont really need know anything outside of what the product is teaching you. All youve gotta do is talk about your progress, the progress that youre getting from following the program, and try to get people to do it with you....theres really no outside knowledge needed. But maybe youre right because after 2 months my biz is gonzo, I made 1 ShakeO sale, 1 Brazil Butt Lift sale, and 2 p90x sales (one that I burned for a friend and actually made more than what i woulda got from BB). EDIT that was very redundant, I apologize your job is Independent Distributor. that said, i'm glad you're doing P90X - i think it's truly an incredible program. I really do. How's it going for ya?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 07:56 PM) The Rays (Matt Moore and Jeff Niemann, Rangers (Harrison and Feliz), Nationals and Marlins could show up there, Yankees are 7 deep if Pineda is ever healthy and Pettitte comes back aaaand of COURSE you're the one to rain on the parade. haha I'll take Humber over Niemann any day of the week. I'll take Humber over Feliz for this year (growing pains). I like Harrison, but I still maintain we have a better all around rotation than Texas You'd take Nova over Humber? Freddy Garcia? I'll take Humber over Zambrano The Nationals are the only one I'll give you. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 04:31 PM) HE was flipping the bat thinking he walked when he turned and reacted to the ump calling him out. He then took off running once he realized he'd been called out. i haven't seen the side either, but the head of his bat crossed the plane of the plate - in a perfect game scenario - you call that. -
