really? 8 pages? wacky. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 01:11 PM) Does the "Living" list take into account the odds of the entire area being destroyed in a natural disaster? or spending 2 hours a day in traffic? LA is a terrible. TERRIBLE place to live.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 05:35 AM) Caulfield, I seriously think you're incapable of a post that takes me less than 15 minutes to read he is. it's never happened. once. i mean hell, this threads about MOVIES and it's still 9 pages long.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 11:32 PM) All with dumbells: lateral raises, front raises, overhead press. I know you're just kidding, but I've had to work my ass off just to get where I am now. Lost 25 pounds since I started in January, now working on building the muscles. try throwing in seated bent over shoulder flies. or a combination of sitting straight up for one rep, then lean forward and do a 2nd rep.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 08:51 AM) Los Angeles > Miami > NYC > Chicago. If you're taking a vacation. If you want to live there it goes Los Angeles > Chicago > NYC > Miami are you kidding me? LA is terrible. Miami even worse. and Y2HH you have no idea what you're talking about. I'm pretty sure your opinions are based off tv shows.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 19, 2012 -> 09:27 AM) I can't speak for anyone else...all I know is what my body does...if I workout 2-3 times a week, I tend to stay at a consistent size/weight/cardio condition....when I take time off, such as several weeks or a few months, I start to lose muscle mass. So what I shoot for is what I can maintain with a reasonable workout schedule and diet. Anything else I deem not maintainable and therefore not worth wasting my time or effort. My exception would be if you had a particular event or reason for getting into crazy good shape, like your wedding, or some two-week vacation to some exotic location with your single buddies or something. I know you are an actor, so you may have career-oriented reasons, and I can respect that. that makes sense.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 19, 2012 -> 08:33 AM) I just don't see the value in those products. You said this was a lifestyle change...so are you willing to buy these products for the rest of your life, too? I just really hesitate to use something that will boost my ability to workout more if I take it than when I don't, because then what happens when I don't? Will I feel as though my workouts are subpar? I'll go about as far as protein shakes, because I do believe they are a convenient way to help repair damaged muscles as a result of frequent exercise. Other than that, I just try to keep everything as maintainable and natural as I can (diet, routine, etc.). That way, I have the best chance of continuing these habits as time goes on. i think Balta's got a point - that if you can use them to get your mass to where you want it to be - then you don't necessarily need to KEEP taking them just to maintain. also - protein shakes only work so well at repairing muscle. after a workout you really do need to take in some sort of fast-burning 4:1 carb to protein drink/bar/etc. if you don't, your results won't be as good. gotta have those fast burning carbs post-workout.

QUOTE (Fenway @ Apr 19, 2012 -> 12:26 AM) Bobby V now has WEEI and WBZ-FM against him as he has called out hosts on both stations as morons - while he also has a radio show weekly on ESPN 1050 New York. We would take Ozzie in a heatbeat. who gives a crap about what radio personalities think? i thought you guys cared about winning.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 19, 2012 -> 07:27 AM) Ahh, the old Herb Brooks approach, eh? I doubt Bobby is that smart. i don't. the guys is a DAMN good manager and always has been. he's always been tricky and this seems exactly like something he'd do. btw - Youk hit his first homer last night.
-
big Jim in to pinch hit for Lee with 1 out man on third. This is awesome.
-
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 18, 2012 -> 10:14 PM) Lee at 89 pitches, BTW. And he is back out but gives up a leadoff single. but shuts em down. 10 innings. Awesome.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 03:31 PM) I think your are right about that. A lot of people that he would not produce. I was not amongst that group. oh yeah? wow... you're really smart. you somehow knew a kid with a terrible major league track record would suddenly become useful. why aren't YOU running this team?
-
are you guys serious? Bobby just strengthened the commraderie in his clubhouse tenfold by doing what he did. By making himself the bad guy he made his team rally together. Every group needs a common enemy to bond. I GUARANTEE he just got his players amped up to play better - and I think he did it on purpose. There's no comparison here. Ozzie is just an idiot. Bobby V is a genius.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 07:11 AM) http://sports.yahoo.com/news/bobby-valenti...DZJxe78mUw5nYcB Article on Valentine's mess in BOS already....interesting, Cherington apparently wanted Dale Sveum and John Henry/ownership group wanted disciplinarian type in Valentine. if true, based on that article, you can hardly call it a mess. I love Bobby V so I'm gonna go ahead and believe he's an evil genius.

it opens up a brand new form of entertainment. we're gonna see "live" concerts from the Beatles, Elvis, Hendrix, etc and they're gonna SELL like nobody's business.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 08:54 AM) I don't take anything pre-workout but I do take bcaa's intra-workout and I love the result so far. in what form?
-
Am I the only one who thinks this thread is insane after only 8 games and us winning FIVE of them!? we are 11th in the league in OPS. I'll grant you, we need to score more runs, but it's been EIGHT FRIGGIN GAMES! EDIT: by league, I do mean, all of MLB.

we outscored the Detroit Tigers by a significant margin in this series. Yeah we've got offensive shortcomings, but it already looks better than last year. let's back off the ledge. Jeez.
