  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 02:53 PM) PK dunks in an RBI single, 2-0 SOX! The Professional
  2. ya know what Balta - one could argue that Jake is facing a much, much tougher lineup than Scherzer is... so...
  3. QUOTE (Wanne @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 02:37 PM) Over/under of the length of rope (in ABs) Robin gives him... i think KW is gonna make him play Becks all year.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 02:33 PM) And you said Scherzer couldn't cut it. haha damnit.
  5. also - BALTA. You said Jake was awful! WHAT'S GOING ON? Show yourself!
  6. BUT WHY IS THE TANK STARTING OUT SO SLOOOOOOOWWWW????
  7. any of you guys take pre-workout supplements like noxplode, superpump 250, etc? trying to decide if it's worth it. I'm not big on putting chemicals in my body - but i'm skinny and trying to gain mass, and a pre-workout drink would probably help me lift harder...
  8. watching Jake today - i know it's early - but where's Balta?
  9. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 12:51 PM) DV not playing like I thought he would so far. really? a game ago he was batting .300. it's early.
  10. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 12:45 PM) yeah, he ripped it. but delmon young did... fall over... to be fair.
  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 12:44 PM) Did he hit it hard? yeah but shoulda been a single. delmon young fell over.
  12. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 11:38 PM) I've probably had about 4 cans of pop since December. All with alcohol. Just a lifestyle change for me to cut out pop and fast food. same here. i don't remember the last time i had SODA.
  13. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 03:10 PM) Robin knows baseball and so did Ozzie Guillen. We won a World Series with Ozzie at the helm. I wouldn't be so quick to throw Guillen under the bus. They all say, and so did Ozzie, that managers are hired to be fired. Saying that though I like Robin Ventura did you even read his post? he said he liked Guillen - but his in-game managing left something to be desired. You homers can argue that... but you'll be wrong every time.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:40 PM) 9072 paid attendance. Ouch. dear god`
  15. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:34 PM) Ohman should unintentionally walk the righties and get out the lefties in this situation. It would be much better. lol. At least, Ohman looking solid against the lefties. That has to be it for Ohman today. wanted to see humber get some live practice in...
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:31 PM) And now Robin gets the lesson about why you don't leave Ohman in to face righties. better today than in a close game i guess... lets bring in our actual pitchers now.
  17. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:24 PM) For his career he has pitched 923.2 innings and started all 151 games he has appeared in for an average of 6.11 innings per start what was is ridiculous about this. Over the last three years that has improved but that is what it is for his career. that's absurd. you can't take his first couple years and say they have ANY bearing on what he'll do for the REST of his career. You use the last 3 years as a basis for comparison. lol
  18. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:12 PM) Overall, mediocre start by Danks. 5 walks and he got into some jam. And couldn't get out of the sixth with a big lead. But I have to accentuate the positive. 10 RUNS! Hopefully more. Kosuke better get a hit next AB! THIS is a C+ outing.
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:06 PM) Not completely sure why Danks is pitching this inning, but it's obviously going to be his last one. With the offday, you could have pulled him to give Stewart or N. Jones some work. no point taxing the bp if you dont have to
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:03 PM) Danks comes out for the 6th with 91 pitches, and gets an out on the first pitch. nuh uh
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:01 PM) The Tigers 5th and 6th starters have some damn high ceilings. Jeanmar Gomez (Cleveland) is a 23 year old who put up an ERA about 2.5 last year in AAA, so there's at least some promise there. For this season...probably Philip Humber...but I don't know those prospects well enough to call it convincingly. give me the guy who's done it in the major leagues over the guy who hasn't
