  3. if he's willing to have Santorum (doubtful), that's the only ticket i see actually threatening Obama.
  4. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Apr 4, 2012 -> 10:57 AM) the sexiest face of the franchise by far unless Jon Garland comes back. i dunno man. Robin was pretty good lookin' back in his 46 year old pitcher stomping days.
  5. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Apr 3, 2012 -> 02:50 PM) I started p90x at 305 with boat loads of muscle underneath all the fat, I take my chocolate shakeologoy after the workouts that involve the bands..thats 25grams right there, then the scoop of PB i put in the shake as well, and then the fish or chicken for dinner...I know thats not a lot but im more focused on losing weight over gaining muscle which I already have hidden under this now 280 pound frame.... Also being a independent beachbody coach isnt going exactly how I thought it would be so until I find an actual job (or find a couple coaches to coach under me) Im gonna have to make due with what ive got. this is why it's not going well, you need to be knowledgeable about health, fitness and the product: a HIGH PROTEIN diet sheds weight. If you don't have a lot of protein coming in, it has to be carbs, so you're not going to lose as much weight as you would have if you were going 50:30:20 Protein:Carb:Fat ratio. You've done well for yourself, but you could be doing even better.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 2, 2012 -> 08:24 AM) New York is amazing. That is all. Duh. That's why I live here.

  8. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 1, 2012 -> 12:40 AM) I ate dinner at Fogo de Chao tonight. That'll set me back a few days. Today's my fantasy baseball draft day, my workout day off, and my 1 day a month i get to eat cheese. BIG MUTHAf***IN' PIZZA DAY!
  9. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Mar 31, 2012 -> 03:50 PM) my diets been sooooooo boring this whole 1st month I've been doing p90x. Either Shakeology or Fruits, yogurt, and half a cup of raisin bran crunch all mixed together for breakfast If I dont have my shake for breakfast then I'll have it post workout, if I do have it for breakfast ill have celery and PB post workout lunch has been either a salad, with loads of cucumbers celery and carrots or peanut butter and banana wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla. Dinner may vary depending on what the fams eating for dinner, if theyre eating something somewhat healthy ill have that, if not its been either fish or chicken tacos (lettuce, avocado, hot sauce) with steamed brocoli and carrots or a veggie burger...orrrrr my new favorite, mayoless chicken elotes, half a can of corn, some chicken, some chili powder, some hot sauce, and a lil parmasean cheese....delightful No recovery drink? and dude... you need to be eating protein, not eating nothing. cucumbers, celery and carrots are doing nothing good for you....
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 31, 2012 -> 04:47 AM) Why would I be bitter that he drafted half of BA's top 50 prospects list? lol. And what's all this mess about him having awful keepers? Jacoby Ellsbury, Prince Fielder, and Asdrubal Cabrera finished 3rd, 16th, and 43rd in Yahoo overall rankings last year. Gallardo is a top 15-20 pitcher. Hanson has health concerns. But c'mon. Dude is a stud when healthy. His keepers are hardly awful. His keepers were awful based on ADP. You can get Hanson 112th or something. Why would you keep that? Asdrubal is actually not a good player. You can take that to the bank. And Ellsbury will hit 15-20 hr this year. He'll be good - but not THAT good. And next year, DBAHO will be a beast. It is a keeper league after all.
  11. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Mar 30, 2012 -> 09:07 PM) Haha, I'd feel bad if I didn't come last this season. Considering who I had for keepers (Asdrubal Cabrera!!!!), I had no choice to rebuild. Might as well do that with the best prospects in the game. he's just bitter.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 29, 2012 -> 03:28 AM) Still getting used to the fact that MC and Hanley will eventually gain 3B eligibility. That makes the position slightly deeper than it would've been if the Tigers and Mets hadn't signed Fielder and Reyes. This will no doubt be Bautista's last year of 3B eligibility. After that, the only "elite" 3B are Longoria, Zimmerman and Beltre. Sandoval was great in '09, sucked in '10, and was great again last year. His weight will always be an issue. He needs to put together consecutive productive seasons before you can put him in the elite (though he's clearly in the next-tier). Aramis and Youk are good when healthy. But they've both, as I'm sure you know, spent a lot of time on the DL the last few seasons. Michael Young? Meh. He's extremely BA-dependent. He surely won't knock in over 100 runs again and he's getting up there in age. David Wright is a joke and has been in a steep decline since his monster '08. Pay-Rod looked every bit his 36 years last year and doesn't figure to get better at 37. After that? The position is awful. You better get your 3B in the first 3, maybe 4 rounds. Otherwise, you're in deep s***. DBHAO had one of the worst drafts I've ever seen. But he got it right with Lawrie. For the OF, you left out Pence, Cruz, Adam Jones, Victorino, Gordon, Hart and Berkman. We know what Beltran and Choo can do when they're healthy. Carl Crawford is one year removed from a top 10 yahoo finish. Jason Heyward is, what, 22? He sucked last year. But 2010 wasn't long ago. Guys like Upton, Young and Stubbs are average killers, but they provide power and speed. Bryce Harper will be an automatic add when he gets called up. Probably some other guys I'm forgetting. It's just a much deeper position. That's without even getting into potential injuries. If you lose a Longoria or a Zimmerman for a month, you're f***ed at that position until they get back. Scott Rolen? Mark Reynolds? Chase Headley? Those would be your replacements. You could lose a top-tier OF and have a much better chance of finding a decent replacement for the short-term (Andre Ethier and Nick Markakis, who both are going undrafted in some leagues, for example). Only if you're in a NL-only league. I guess my fantasy philosophy just differs greatly from yours. Although also do the leagues I play in, since I usually have OBP/SLG included. I hate 5x5 generally speaking because it is no where near relative to a players actual value. In OBP leagues I will never draft Cruz, Jones, Gordon, Hart or Berkman (the latter two because of injury/age). Choo and Beltran I like, but they're hardly elite. Upton, Young and Stubbs, again, are great in a couple categories and kill you in the others. Especially in my other leagues. So sure, in 5x5 standard play, OF is a little deeper, but honestly 3B is just as deep as 1B this year and deeper than 2B and SS by far. I loved DBAHO's approach because with the KEEPERS he had (terrible) he stood no chance of competing this year anyway. Why not stash every good prospect and then get your choice of great keepers for next year?
  13. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Mar 28, 2012 -> 09:59 PM) just raise taxes to cover the cost. wait what now? you're seriously telling me the GOP wouldn't raise even MORE cane if Bam suggested THAT?
  14. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Mar 28, 2012 -> 12:49 AM) Hermanson had 9 years MLB experience before 2005, including 17 saves the previous season. Screwball Santiago has 5.1 innings above AA ball. Don't see the connection. guys don't you get that none of that matters? we literally, LITERALLY just had a shortstop as our closer and y'all were fine with it. Let's stop freaking out before a decision is made, ok?
  15. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 28, 2012 -> 05:33 AM) Sorry, Reddy. This just isn't true. At all. The easiest positions to fill in fantasy - in no particular order: 1B, OF, SP, RP. 3B isn't that far off from SS and C as far as lack of depth goes. nope. you're completely, completely wrong. easiest to fill? sure, but easiest to fill with elite talent? no. 3B now has: Miggy, Hanley, Longo, Bautista, Zimmerman, Wright, Lawrie, Sandoval, Young, Beltre, ARam, ARod, Youkilis OF now has: Kemp, Braun, Ellsbury, Gonzalez, Upton, Stanton, Granderson, Bruce, McCutchen, Holliday, Hamilton, (and then it starts falling off the map into 1-tool and 2-tool players) And you need at least THREE outfielders. No matter what, even if you have one or two elite outfielders, your other two are bringing you down in some way, shape, or form.
  16. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Mar 23, 2012 -> 08:03 PM) BTW, interested to know who would have people chosen if they had the 1st pick in the draft as I did. I was tossing up b/w Lawrie and Jay Bruce, went with Lawrie because he plays more of a premium position obviously. The irony is that OF is more of a premium position than 3B.
  17. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Mar 27, 2012 -> 09:46 PM) NO, sorry, didn't happen! I'm just predicting and it would sound like a White Sox kinda move. Yeah we were all super excited about Dustin Hermanson too I think.
  18. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 27, 2012 -> 10:39 AM) You really don't need a bench to do flys, you can do them laying on the ground if you have some dumbbells. why am i an idiot. you're a genius.
  19. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 27, 2012 -> 06:56 AM) I personally believe the P90X plyo workout is the best leg workout there is, it translates to things you do everyday in a way lifting weights (squats, etc) never translate too. It's pretty much the only P90X video I still use, because otherwise I prefer running on the treadmill, rollerblading or lifting weights for other workouts. IMO, P90X can never hit my arms/chest/shoulders/back as hard as free weights can, but when it comes to leg workouts, I think Plyo-X is tops. completely agree on Plyo. P90X hit's my arms and back pretty well - chest I agree though. I miss doing chest flys - that's what really get my pecs sore. some day i hope to buy an adjustable bench so i can just add those in to the chest workout.
  20. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Mar 24, 2012 -> 10:57 AM) Ive been doin p90x for 3 weeks on monday now and I've gotten great results! I started at 305 and have lost 16 pounds so far! Thats including the fact that im using the heaviest bands possible and gaining mad muscle!! I think shakeology shakes are helpin me a lot with the weight loss on top of that too, I feel awesome since I started taking em... I still work for beachbody.com so if youre interested in any fitness programs or supplements please dont hesitate to throw me a PM ok lets call a spade a spade though. you don't ACTUALLY work for beachbody.com. You're an independent coach, who, if you sell their products, makes a commission. but my guess is that you became a coach just to make shakeology cheaper. Correct? If you haven't finished the program yet, it's hard to figure you have all that much credibility on the coaching side of things... NOT to discredit your results - which have been great so far. Congrats on that! But it comes across disingenuous to try and sell a product you've been familiar with for only two weeks.
