  3. i hope to hell he gets back on track soon. I think he's really key to our success.

  6. QUOTE(OfficerKarkovice @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 10:06 PM) Well for one reason, the incredible amount of time that a D1 athlete has to commit to his or her sport does not allow for them to have even a part time job that a normal college student would be able to have. While often times...but not always...they have at least some of their tuition payed, that still provides no spending money whatsoever. I'm not saying I necessarily agree or disagree with athletes getting payed...but it's at least something to consider. so i do theatre, it takes up massive amounts of time and i dont have time for a job either. should i be paid?
  7. c'mon guys, i gotta give props to charlotte, their logo kicks ass (Knights that is)
  8. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 09:43 AM) is there any official confirmation of this yet? If so, Kenny Williams has indeed rebuilt this ballclub very nicely. if we can get Frank back by early June, the Sox should be in business. damn i am uber excited... we are going to dominate if Iguchi can perform even at half (ok maybe a bit better than that) of what he did in Japan. Pods Iguchi Dye (I still want Rowand here) Frank Paulie A-row Pyrz Uribe Crede damn thats amazing... we can run, we can hit, we can even field. This is probably the best ALL-AROUND team KW has ever given us. MAJOR PROPS!
  9. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 09:15 PM) It's easy to do this stuff with spreadsheets. I prioritize the off-days to give MB & FG the maximum number of starts. I have a VB macro that does all this for me. Then I just have to type it up here. i wish i knew how this whole technology thing worked... dang... im kinda incapable w/ computers and thats sad seeing as how I'm 18... i should know these things
  10. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) Cooper's comments seem to suggest they are going to maximize the off days to skip starts for El Duque. 11. If they get Delgado... what the f*** is that? Pedro, Beltran and Delgado... probably the 3 biggest FAs this offseason all to the mets and just cuz they have a lot of cash to sling around. Damn I hate it... Chuck the mets up there with the Yanks and Redsox... Angels I guess too. But I feel the Mets are being even worse than any of those others... this kinda thing destroys the game.
  12. apparently we're still in it for Vazquez but... i dunno what do you guys think? Im kinda sick of this rumor but i'd be happy as hell if we got him... unless its for PK, Marte and Garland...
  13. i love what rotoworld said about no harm
  14. im excited, i think we've got what it takes this year and I'm gonna be excited to watch these sox in the world series this year...
  15. i would be ridiculously happy if this were to happen... tho i doubt it. If so this has been the best KW sox offseason by far

lol, i dunno when i was reading duke's thread tony's reply about it being already posted struck me as kinda rude, then on mine its sort of the same way... im not the kind of person that usually gets ticked off by being frank, but being rude is different. Maybe I'm just being hyper sensitive but I did what he said to do, and didnt see it.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) I think thoughts can be had in the other thread about this......... ya know you're kind of a jerk. on your post to Duke about his posting an already posting topic you said check the first two pages. Well I'm not a newb, I did, didnt see it. So I posted it. Got a probelm?

This is from the year in preivew article on the sox homepage: LF Scott Podsednik SS Juan Uribe RF Jermaine Dye DH Frank Thomas 1B Paul Konerko CF Aaron Rowand 3B Joe Crede C Ben Davis 2B Willie Harris Not sure about having dye bat 3... I'd rather have rowand there. Thoughts? Granted this is pending no other aquisitions though I'm hoping we get Pierz
  20. I love when people chuck the whole season in the toilet months before the first pitch. Why even call yourself a fan?
  21. HELL NO! Pods Uribe Rowand Thomas Konerko Dye Pierz Iguchi Crede thats better, until we know if igu-whatever is worth his salt
  22. where'd you get this great nickname from? I'm a fan of nicknames but i'd save the degrading ones until we at least see him pitch...
  23. whats crazy is i think the mets have one of the best rotations in baseball... above the yanks and maybe even redsox... maybe not perfect but damn near close... Pedro Glavine Benson Zambrano Trachsel
  24. but my point is, AJs throwout % is not really a huge problem... so what if his arm isnt as strong? he's probably more accurate and all his other plusses more than make up for whatever weakness he has in this area... which i think isnt much but maybe thats just me.
