  1. QUOTE (KagakuOtoko @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 06:29 PM) If you are blaming her primary opponent of her losing that's pretty sad. It's time to face that if she was halfway decent should have crushed DT. Donald Trump is f***ing easy mode in video games. She lost to f***ing glass Joe, she is awful. At what point are people going to wake up and realize that Trump wasn't "easy mode" If he were easy mode, why didn't any other GOP candidate beat him? He tapped into something that nobody realized was there besides Michael f***ing Moore.
  2. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 05:39 PM) I am curious what 'false narratives' you think there were about her. Damn near all of them. Emails? Come the f*** on. Literally every man who has ever been in the white house or any administration has had a private email server (see Trump and all of his advisers). There was a false equivalency narrative created that equated Hillary with being "just as bad" for America as Trump. Literally four days into Trump and we're realizing how bulls*** that was. Too bad the left bought it.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 04:44 PM) She was a legitimately awful candidate. Twice she was anointed the next President. Twice she blew it. There was just nothing about Hillary Clinton that spoke to the American people by and large, other than she wasn't Donald Trump. She could barely hold off Bernie Sanders for the nomination, and she lost to the worst Presidential major party candidate since Andrew Jackson. I mean you can try blaming the right wing for that, but if that was the case, how come they didn't work their magic to take down Barack Obama at some point? You don't know how much your opinion means to me as resident hard-line GOPer and Reddy fan favorite.
  4. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 03:57 PM) Youre not going to win many supporters when you say things like this, even if you believe it to be true. Who knows why people didnt get out for Hillary, but I am confident that if she had run a better campaign, she would have won. And I'm confident that if the Bernie wing and far left hadn't legitimized and parroted the far right talking points and created the false equivalency narrative, she also would have won.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 03:39 PM) Apparently you just need to debate yourself because you aren't saying what you think you are saying. Quote where I mentioned Bernie Sanders.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 03:41 PM) If they stayed home because they aren't smart enough to think for themselves, well then they also got the con-artists they deserved a top the respective party tickets. the vast majority of americans can't think for themselves, come on.
  7. QUOTE (KagakuOtoko @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 02:15 PM) 46% people stayed home. Why did they stay home? Because of the false narratives about HRC that were pushed by the GOP and the far left. This isn't a controversial statement if anyone but me were making it haha
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 02:12 PM) I am not going to buy that people who thought Hillary Clinton was too far left were going to go to Bernie Sanders instead. Why do you keep making arguments - or responding to arguments - that I'm not even making??
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 01:44 PM) They didn't do anything for Trump. The people who were voting for him were voting for him anyway. The polling data shows that that's actually completely untrue. An awful lot of people made up their minds in the final days of the election, strangely enough. And yes, the polling data was generally accurate across the board. There were only a few outliers that were wrong.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 01:31 PM) The entire rest of the GOP field attacked Trump, as did the Dems. All it really did was add to his street cred. This is true. What's your point?
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 12:03 PM) The reason we have Trump is the Clintons soaked up all the air in the room and leadership from the next generation (after the Baby Boomers) is lacking and/or never developed. Martin O'Malley was really the only other option? It would be one thing if Clinton had the same gravitas as 2008, but she already been fatally exposed, it's just that nobody had the cojones to stand up to the Clintons other than Sanders. Certainly not the DNC. By the way, that Clinton intimidation factor never got in the way of Obama. Maybe Michelle will say enough's enough and decide to run. And Biden could have won but his moment is past. He had the ability to speak directly to those middle class laborers Hillary never seemed to be able to connect with. Mattis/Sanders 2020, haha We have Trump because liberals ate their own. The far left attacked Clinton with the same vehemence as the far right, and fought their battles for them. Throwing in the towel on Booker and Warren because they're realistic and pragmatic and need to play politics to fight the battles that need to be fought is asinine.
  12. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 11:45 AM) Not to mention the Democrats made rules while in power that have completely neutered themselves in the Senate...in terms of the filibuster, specifically. Munchin, Price, DeVos, Carson, Sessions, Ross, Tillerson...no way they all get through at any other time in recent history. Daschle got stopped by a mere $15,000 in unpaid taxes, and he'd been majority leader. Fwiw, if the Pacific Trade agreement went to Congress, Trump would surely lose, so they should consider themselves fortunate that they don't have to cross him so early. Or completely compromise their core beliefs. By the way, us liberals are done with Warren and Booker. Bernie Sanders is the only one to remain consistent in his beliefs. LOL. You don't speak for me re: Booker and Warren. That type of attitude is why we have Trump.
  13. QUOTE (brett05 @ Jan 24, 2017 -> 03:56 PM) That's the question for all of us, isn't it? NO, it's the question for YOU to answer if you're going to make judgments about what is and isn't moral! Haha come ON.
  14. QUOTE (brett05 @ Jan 24, 2017 -> 03:24 PM) Thanks. I honestly meant no harm to you or anyone else. OK, so if society thinks we don;t need brett05 anymore is that morally right since it is society? Morals must have a standard else they aren't really morals at all and just whims of people. Basically just because 50+ percent of people think pre-marital sex is ok does not mean that it is morally. who, in your mind, gets to decide the standard for morality?
  15. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jan 24, 2017 -> 12:15 PM) A.) You're getting personal. Cut it out. Perhaps you should check the rules of the filibuster. raBBit criticizing someone for getting personal. THAT's good stuff right there.
  16. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 22, 2017 -> 09:54 AM) FWIW the DJIA and "the economy" are not the same thing of course they aren't. you think greg can handle complexities?
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 22, 2017 -> 08:18 AM) The stock market returns averaged 17.4% per year under Clinton. http://www.forbes.com/2004/07/21/cx_da_0721presidents.html Greg will argue that the average middle class family wasn't able to invest in the market due to inadequate savings and that wage growth for the middle class has been flat for 30 years. Of course, that has very little to do with Obama...and those stock market gains Trump is getting credit for since the election aren't going to last if Trump's policies are enacted. Uh.... no he won't. I've never seen that cogent an argument come out of a greg post haha He'll say something like "can't we all just get along"?
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jan 22, 2017 -> 01:33 AM) I mean he'll improve the economy enough I hope that I can make more money working and save money on price of things, etc. He's supposed to help business owners make more loot and maybe they'll pass it on to me. 1) Do you believe trickle down economics works? 2) Which of his policies do you feel will accomplish this? 3) In 2008, stock market was sub 10,000. Today it's near 20,000. That's doubling the strength of the economy over eight years. You really think Trump will do better?
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jan 21, 2017 -> 10:52 PM) Don't you want prosperity?? I do. I want some money. Wait. I thought it was Obama who was giving all of us free stuff! greg I'm confused. I sit here, cross-legged and starry-eyed, awaiting your tutelage.
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 21, 2017 -> 04:42 PM) With all the illegal voting that made it look like Hillary had almost 3 million more votes than Trump, when in reality, the popular vote was a landslide victory for Trump, I wonder why he hasn't made that a top priority to get fixed. He is lucky, he is so great he can overcome that much fraud, but some of his fellow republicans cannot. That should be attacked soon. You forgot the green. This is a joke post, right?
  21. One of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. Today in DC was absolutely unreal. Ugh. Never gonna forget this one. For better or worse, we're living through some very big history right now.
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jan 20, 2017 -> 09:35 PM) Right now I'm watching the inauguration balls. Anderson Cooper is being VERY professional. I couldn't keep reading after this.
  23. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jan 20, 2017 -> 02:29 PM) To be fair, he blocked a small reduction that was supposed to go into place on the 25th. It's not like he raised taxes. And it's a pretty minimal reduction. I think the average benefit was like ~400 for the year. lol can you imagine if Obama screwed the avg person out of $400/year how you'd have reacted?
  24. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jan 20, 2017 -> 02:04 PM) "The world is ending.. Waaaaa" Bunch of babies! Sad!
  25. QUOTE (brett05 @ Jan 20, 2017 -> 01:47 PM) No they don't. Again. History book. How old are you?
