A few years ago I bought some Blue Apron to hold for a month or two and then I was going to put it into Microsoft all because I wanted to avoid a $9 trading fee.= Since that day Blue Apron is down 93% and Microsoft is up over 100%. Thankfully I had a bunch of other Microsoft, but it was the last time I bought a stock of a product/service I dont personally believe in.

Lopez always had good stuff. Pitchers sometimes just randomly put it all together. Hopefully hes able to harness his talent for 1-2 innings because he could really be valuable for the Sox.

You dont trade for a closer when you already have a closer. You trade for the best set up man you can find. Maybe it will work, but it generally seems not to.

Greg, All I can say is "be the change you want to see in the world." If we dont want things to get worse, then we need to be the ones to do our part to make it better. Many other generations of Americans faced difficult tasks and they had to rise to the occasion. This will likely be my generations greatest test, we have to come together and beat this. Where I disagree is that its out of my control. Maybe no one will ever read a word I say, but maybe they will. Maybe I can convince 1 person, who convinces 1 more person and it makes a difference. Its simply not acceptable to live through a catastrophic event and not ask yourself "What can I do?". Im not a doctor, Im not a scientist, Im not anyone that can make a direct impact, but every once in a while I can write something that maybe makes a little sense to someone. So why wouldnt I try? There is nothing "pragmatic" about your approach. The pragmatic approach is to go to whatever lengths possible to keep convincing people to get the vaccine. Being complacent has never accomplished anything. This makes no sense with what I was saying. I want to go on an airplane, Im fine taking the risk that he will be okay sitting in a row that I pay for. The problem is that right now airlines are enforcing a mask possible, which means I cant operate in my own guidelines. So since the govt is going to interfere with my life until we get through this, I am going to do my best to make it happen as quickly as possible. You can window dress any argument, but its really simple: Vaccines will mean we get our lives back faster. As long as that is true, I am going to try and convince people to get vaccines.

Im vaccinated, but my children are not because they are too young. My child will go to school next year and be surrounded by other children. If they get covid and we have no idea what the long term impact is. I cant potentially take them on a trip because maybe a sub 3 year old wont wear a mask. I cant plan things for the future, because who knows if we are going to have another lockdown and we wont be able to go anywhere. That isnt even getting into the potential economic disaster that is on the horizon if there is another lockdown and if we cant put covid in the background. Who knows how many people will lose their jobs again, etc. This isnt even getting into the societal argument that I dont want people to unnecessarily die over stupidity. But yes, if I want to be extremely selfish and only think about my personal health, I am probably fine. Too bad I actually worry about other people. Sympathy is such a character flaw.

Great you are fully vaccinated, but as long as you treat this as some sort of game, I am going to express my anger. You dont really believe in "freedom" or any of that, because if you did, you would have spent the last X+ years making consistent arguments against government infringement of rights. Many of the anti-mask/anti-vaccine crowd are perfectly willing to rob people of their freedom when it doesnt fit their social narrative, even when it poses absolutely no personal risk to them. Yet I am supposed to sit silently while they scream about their freedom to harm other Americans. It doesnt work that way.

Its already well established that certain vaccines are required for schools. Its not that hard to create laws that allow businesses to operate at different standards depending on if they require proof of vaccination. Sox can have 100% capacity if they require proof of vaccine, 50% if they dont. Money talks, non-vaccinated people arent a protected class.

You dont get to be a part of the people "making it political" and then at the same time "blame politics." At a certain point I wish that the pro-vaccine would make it political. If you dont get vaccinated you lose privileges. No White Sox games, no airplanes, no Disneyworld without a vaccine. Its time to stop playing nice with people who simply dont care about the rest of humanity. If you are okay with killing people, you dont deserve to get all the good things that the rest of us sacrificed for. There is no freedom issue here. Being a jackass isnt a protected right. And I am getting angry, I lost an entire year of doing things in my life and it may happen again because selfish horrible people think that wearing a mask and getting a shot somehow infringes on their "FREEDOM BABY." Its garbage and if you are actually the "good" person you think you are, you would see why its stupid. I mean maybe I drive better drunk, how can we really know what will happen if a drink and drive? Maybe if I dont drink Ill get in an accident... 50 percent of the US is a clown show. People around the globe are begging for vaccines and people in the US are refusing them because they are listening to people who I wouldnt hire to answer phones for me. And that is how I really feel.

Years from now people are going to look back at us and wonder how we got here. I cant even express how frustrated/annoyed/angry I am that it looks like the sacrifices over the last year are going to be undone because people in the USA cant wear a mask or get a shot. 70 years ago people were volunteering to go fight in WWII, now we cant even do 2 simple tasks to protect each other. I seriously cant believe that when I look at other countries I think its possible things are going to get worse again in the US, I thought last year was going to be a wake up call and people were going to get their shit together.

What is your gain by all of this? The US is trending towards another outbreak, more people are going to die all because a small group of people are too selfish to help everyone else. I dont want anyone who didnt get a vaccine to get hurt, sick or die, but I also am extremely frustrated by their selfishness. Not for a second do I think that they are the smart ones, but sometimes I do feel sympathetic that they may not know better and that we as a society have failed them. Its great that you got the vaccine and we will never know how many lives you may have saved by doing that. We also dont know how many lives are going to be lost because other people are refusing to get the vaccine. There was a time when Americans used to sacrifice for each other. Its unfortunate that 50% of the population now feels that the only thing that is important is themselves. Getting vaccinated is such a low ask and yet we have failed.

Greg, Its not on Fauci that people dont trust him, its on the people who have purposefully lied to "half the population" in an attempt to control them for money and power. This is going to end one way or another, I just hope for "half the population's" sake its not in a bunch of body bags. There is an old saying, You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. "Half the population" is an anchor on America and right now the rest of us are trying our best not to let that anchor drag the rest of us down into another covid lockdown. At some point "half the population" needs to take accountability for what they are doing to everyone else. But Im guessing "half the population" doesnt care how many people die because of their selfishness.
