  1. I think England felt that they could withstand the attacks and threaten/score on a counter. They were 25 minutes from being successful. It was a great game, wish soccer in the US would get to that level.
  2. Most people who are getting sick are not vaccinated. The more people in your community who get vaccinated the less risk you will have now and in the future. The best thing you can do is convince other people to do their part and get vaccinated so we dont have a repeat of last year.
  3. No idea who you are but @ptatc has earned respect on this board. You need to chill out.
  4. Sad that Lil Wayne didnt write a verse, but who would have thought 20 years ago that Juvenile would be out there saving lives.
  5. Maybe not the team we expected, but maybe this team is what will propel the rest to bigger things. So many players just doing whatever it takes to win enough games to keep the Sox in first. You have to hope the attitude carries over when the bigger talents come back.
  6. We wear our masks for the most part when we are indoors or around a lot of people. Its really just such a low bar for trying to make sure people are safe.
  7. Javy is a good one, Gavin Floyd got a lot of hate same with Jon Garland. Pre2005 there wasnt as much hate.
  8. Delete this before Chisox realizes youve been ignoring him all these years haha
  9. As arguably the most vocal person against tort caps and tort immunity on this board, I am glad we both agree that legislatures should not be writing laws that cap torts or create immunity. If someone has a case, let a judge/jury decide if there is a cause of action.
  10. Ill let you answer your own question: Everybody is aware of why someone would want to limit risk in business. Pharmaceutical companies are a business, their primary objective is to make money. If their legal team feels that they can leverage a crisis for immunity, which will give them an economic advantage, they are going to do it. And I dont support the govt giving anyone immunity, but the pharmaceutical companies had a lot of leverage in this specific example.
  11. Why did employers want liability shields if there was no risk to their employees? You always do whatever you can to limit your client's exposure when you negotiate.
  12. NCAA has very little responsibility or liability to fans. Fans can drink beer during a game, players cant. In some states marijuana is legal, its a banned substance for NCAA players. Where is your outrage that players cant get drunk and smoke weed in the middle of an inning? Seems only 1 team couldn't get their act together. NCAA sports is a privilege not a right. A lot of people have gotten their minds all warped by the past administration. Which is ironic because I swear similar people say things like ban players who dont stand for the pledge.
  13. Its unimaginable that they didnt get covid vaccinations. Maybe I grew up in a different world, but if someone would have told me that getting a shot would have guaranteed my ability to play in a tournament I would have been fighting people to be the first one to get the shot. They have no one to blame but themselves, I have no sympathy. Vaccinated players were exempt from protocols. They knew the rules, they simply didn't care about winning a CWS. Life is tough sometimes.
  14. I wouldnt even do it Lavine was walking. Simmons is maybe worth injured Coby White.
  15. The Vuc trade basically turned into worst case scenario. The Bulls would be sitting so much better had they just done nothing or accumulated more picks. I have a feeling the front office really loves Vuc, but it just had disaster written all over it.
  16. Hopefully Chicago can get a new team to compete against the Arlington Heights Bears... I wonder what happens if Bears want to use "Chicago" and the City says no.
  17. You in the first row and afraid of being hit with a bat...
  18. The 3 I have are: VFIAX - SP 500 VTSAX - Total Market VTIVX- Retirement 2045 (Edit) I also have a much smaller amount in DFCEX, which is emerging markets, kind of a swerve against US stuff.
  19. I think its completely unintentional but Larussa being Dean Wormer works great for this team.
  20. I told him Im going to get some balloons and put that nitrous to use...
  21. I didnt want nitrous tires. Every car in the lot already had them. Throughout the entire process I kept saying that Id prefer regular tires. Ironically the sales manager now needs my assistance for some legal stuff. I joked with him that Id only help if he told me how much they really made on my sale.
  22. Basically none of the numbers matched at all from what they first showed me. Its pretty crazy right now, will be interesting to see how the next few months go.
