  1. I got the tiguan r line. 1st dealer said they'd do $500 off sticker. 2nd dealer I got $2k off sticker plus 0% financing. I was pretty close to punting buying for 3-6 months, but there is a lot of uncertainty in the market and it was the salesperson first sale, he was a navy vet and it was memorial day. Also car insurance came in $40 per month cheaper so that was a nice surprise. Biggest annoyance was they charged $800 for nitrous filled tires. Which I really didnt even want.
  2. I used to work with part of their family. I actually just put it together right now. A few other members work for the Sox and some of them got WS rings back in 2005. Ill be honest, for the most part anyone I know who has worked or been a part of the WS has usually said good things about them. So if you take out the Larussa part, Im not sure that there really is much here.
  3. I checked out a Rav4 but the dealership told me people were spending over MSRP and mentioned someone paid $8k over. I told them I wouldnt be spending over MSRP. Originally the Rav4 hybrid was one that I was considering. And yah used car makes no sense right now unless you really just cant fit a new car in your budget.
  4. Looks like I may be getting a vehicle. Anyone have opinions on CX-5 or Tiguan? Also considering Rav4, Forrester etc.
  5. Yermin is also a career minor league player who is having a season that could set him up for life. Every hit/hr is important to him so I think its completely justifiable that he does as well as he can this year.
  6. It used to say I was #14. Quality number.
  7. So strange, I read this thread earlier and I thought the Sox were getting blown out. Go figure.
  8. Found this on twitter. From all the rankings listed Bears averaged #1
  9. Some people are still holding out that the Earth is flat, so Im guessing a long time.
  10. A few bigger WR may be there at 6. Surratt, Terry or Grimes maybe.
  11. No, the only thing the bears can do right now is trade players for picks or trade late picks back for next year picks. Im not sure Foles can get a 7th, but id take a next year pick. Need to get a jump on more for next year.
  12. I really believe you just cant make that trade after making the Fields move. Pace just cant get away from giving up picks. Maybe if for the last 5 years they stockpiled you can get away with a potential 2 man draft, but every year they are down picks. Its just not a winning strategy.
  13. Impossible to tell. But it seems really unlikely. There are some people who feel Fields was the #2 QB prospect and a lot of people who consider him #3. Given that Lance went #3 it was hard to imagine Fields dropping out of the top 10. Strange things happen, but I just dont see anyway that the Bears at 20 could have gotten him.
  14. Moore isnt big enough, they need a bigger one for more balance. I think Eichenberg will be gone unfortunately. Probably by the time they pick there wont be anyone I care too much about and ill want them to move down.
  15. At minimum you can get this year 3 + 4 next year, maybe even better if a team really wants someone. Reason Id go WR if Marshall is because it will give him experience for when Fields takes over. But I always like getting more picks when you can.
  16. For 2nd thinking Marshall WR from LSU. Possible an OL slides but think theyd be a reach. Could see a trade down, maybe try and get 3rd and maybe a pick next year.
  17. Sucks Bills took Rousseau, was hoping hed be an option for Bears.
  18. A lot of guys are transferring now when things dont go their way. Burrow transferred from OSU to LSU because he couldn't beat Fields. In retrospect Fields made the smart move.
  19. To go along with this, you dont always get a chance at a QB rated at Fields level. Most years he would have been likely top 5 and taken either been 1) really bad or 2) spending a lot more to trade up. The Bears biggest problem is when they had the chance, they made a terrible mistake and paid for it. When you get a chance like this you have to take it. The Bears had nothing at QB and were able to chose between Jones/Fields. They got lucky with how the picks played out.
  20. Then by your own reasoning if the Bears got Lawrence he would suck. All you can do is make good decisions and see what happens. No one who legitimately follows football is going to have a major problem with this pick. Fields could have easily gone #2 and people could have defended it.
  21. Not a 1st round pick? There was a better chance that I was picked in the 1st round than Fields wouldnt be. Seriously if you cant legitimately talk about the sport, dont bother getting upset and just enjoy watching.
  22. Do you actually watch these players or do you just listen to people on tv tell you things that dont even make sense? That is the most vanilla thing any person could ever say about a college level QB.
  23. Sometimes its better to be lucky than good, and a franchises future can change easily on a break. Pace has basically done nothing right and lucked into a pick that could amazing. Sure Fields can flame out, but this was the right decision every time.
  24. Trubisky? Just quit posting in this thread. This is the exact opposite of Trubisky. Trubisky was a bench guy who only started 1 year for UNC and wasnt even that good. Joe Burrow couldnt beat out Fields and transferred to LSU because he was going to be the back up. That guy was picked #1 overall last year. Fields beat Lawrence straight up this year. And Lawrence forced everyone to pick him 1 but there is an argument Fields easily was the 2nd best QB prospect, you are talking about a player who delivered at an elite level and is deserving of being selected this high. If anything Wilson and Lance are the shiny new Trubiskys and Fields is Watson.
  25. Fields hurt his ribs against NU and was without Olave. They also ran for almost 400 yards so there was no reason to expose Fields to further injury when they were worried about the playoffs. Some people are going to hate no matter what. You can never guarantee anything, but no one is walking away saying that a team is stupid for picking Fields.
