QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 02:57 PM) No chance in hell I trade Butler for 2 picks only. That's insane. Give up a starting All-Star in his prime for 2 POTENTIAL players. Hard, hard, pass. This was your typical Bulls FO bulls*** non-move. Stay good enough to sell tickets but not good enough to compete, keep options open for some miracle that a max FA can be signed. I didnt say "only" but if those 2 picks were on the table and the Bulls said no, there is unlikely no offer out there that can get Butler. Obviously lottery makes things harder, but those 2 picks are likely at worst 2 top 5, and possibly both would turn out into top 3.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 02:49 PM) https://twitter.com/bulls_jay/status/834867249232109568 Don't click on this link if you wanted the Nets picks If thats true than they didnt want to trade Butler because there really isnt even anything on the Celtics roster worth more than those 2.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 02:37 PM) I would put money that if Hoiberg had been Jimmy's coach his first five years in the league, Jimmy Butler wouldn't be in the NBA right now. Disagree. Butler was oddly used at Marquette so he had real potential to blow up in the NBA. Also Butler credit's Buzz Williams for his work ethic.

Not a fan. There should be some extra inherent risk with IBB, even if its rare. As everyone else said, mound visits would be much more effective. I was thinking this morning an interesting rule would be that team gets 1 "talk" visit per inning, instead of per pitcher. That way they cant just kill time with mound visits for each pitcher.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 20, 2017 -> 03:08 PM) If your life gets ruined by someone's words that on you. The type of feeble minded people who get their lives ruined by words were never going to amount to anything anyways. I am pretty sure Yiannopolous is the one getting death threats that the FBI is investigating. I am pretty sure the people that are against Yiannopolous are the ones tearing up communities. But to your point, I am sure this scant, gay, jewish man from England who is clad in jewelry and hair dye is going to lead an army murdering transgender people, minorities and a female game designer. This is the stuff we need to be outraged about! Not the crippling debt, not the perpetual war, not the fact that that the land of the free incarcerates more people than any country in the world, not the fact that our government is compromised and has no regard for the American people's wishes, we need to direct our attention at a little mischievous gay man who talks s*** about trangsgenders, awful actors and a female game designer. Sheep. I understand that you are angry, but why do you keep referring to Milo as Jewish? Hes a Catholic. Just because he says he maybe had a Jewish grandmother doesnt make him a Jew.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 20, 2017 -> 02:58 PM) I am referring to the current state of affairs where everyone is a racist and the inability to accept any conservative appointments by the President because of their party. Anyone who doesn't agree with left POV hates poor people, lives in a bubble, has white privilege, is sexist, loves nazis and of course and uniformly, is a racist. Never mind the fact that this is the best country in the world that offers more opportunity to any sort of segmented minority. If someone doesnt fit into your particular view of the "current state of affairs", where do they belong? Asking for a friend.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 20, 2017 -> 01:45 PM) Thankfully public opinion considers more than your own. You brought up him being on Maher legitimizing him. I brought up the fact that he was only on Maher because his notoriety was emboldened by all the socialist millenials. Perhaps you should re-read my post. I said that may be why the other person did not want to appear with him but that I did not agree.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 20, 2017 -> 01:25 PM) Thanks for stating the obvious there. Interesting you directed at me though, given I am the person who called Yiannopolous insignificant. There's a lot more money being a professional victim or advocate of professional victims. Yiannopolous was an internet character until Twitter banned him and after children ripped apart their campuses by the mere thought of this guy being there. The reason I responded to you is that you said he was legitimized. I dont believe that Milo is legitimate, and I dont believe being banned from twitter nor what has happened on campuses changes my opinion on that. Sounds like he was just dis-invited from CPAC. Probably will sell a few more books.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 20, 2017 -> 01:22 PM) I'm not sure what you are talking about but I was waiting for you given your obsession with me. Conservatives would never have me but I understand it's difficult for you to talk about politics without getting personal/bipartisan. You just call me a conservative because I'm not blindly aligned with you. I think people call you Conservative because of the tone of your posts and that you seemingly insult liberals while rarely (if ever) insult conservatives in a similar fashion.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 20, 2017 -> 01:10 PM) Yiannopolous has been legitimized by the college aged kids who tear up their campuses when someone they don't agree with comes on campus. The guy's notoriety has blown up because of young liberal's inability to allow people with differing opinions freedom of speech because the guy is, by their account, a Nazi. A "nazi" who is Jewish and brags about f***ing black guys and muslim dudes. Being popular isnt the same as being legitimate. Milo is a salesman, he realized that there was a market for what he was doing and that he could make money by doing it. College aged kids are easy marks, that is why kids that age do stupid things all the time. They have poor impulse control.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 20, 2017 -> 01:04 PM) You couldn't substantiate the claim that it was conspiratorial but I totally agree otherwise. I don't know if you partake in it but kind of funny to see someone nitpick into something being conspiracy when this board regularly partakes on that stuff. For instance, Trump is going to be 10x worse on the treatment of journalists than the worst president ever in that regard. I'd love to see you see substantiate that one. There is a difference between a prediction and a conspiracy theory. A prediction is guessing at what is going to happen: "I think the Sox will win 162 games this year." A conspiracy theory tries to explain something that has happened in the past: "I think that Donald Trump paid the Indians to lose game 7."

QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 20, 2017 -> 12:09 PM) If you're saying Yiannopolous advocates violence then so does Maher. Maher is hyper critical of Muslisms and says stuff that no right wing person could ever get away and more importantly, stuff that is actually directly, specifically disrespectful to the Muslim people. Yiannopolous and Maher really aren't the point though. It's just crazy to me that Scahill has the balls to coop himself up in a Yemeni hut to show that the Pres. Obama's administration murdered double digit amounts of women and children to kill one militant and then colluded with the Yemeni government to cover it up. Real, gritty and potentially career ending type journalism. Then he turns around and acts like a total p**** and cancels, on talk show that he signed himself up to do, because of someone as insignificant as Yiannopolous. Scahill also refused to show up to Stop the War Coalition's annual meeting if Mother Superior Agnes Mariam de la Croix was allowed to speak. I understand, although do not agree, with the theoretical argument. That is if you give something so inane a seat at the table, it legitimizes the inanity.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 12:32 PM) Wait so now Republicans are back to caring about the source of leaks, and the Democrats only caring about the information in the leaks? Damn, I can't keep up with the flipflops. There is a difference. The reason why the source of the leaks previously was "more" important was the source seemingly was from outside the US and there was a question of credibility and whether the source was a foreign entity attempting to influence an US election. In the current case the presumed source of the leak is someone inside of the US govt. So there doesnt seem to be some sort of foreign intervention. IE If we were talking about leaks about Obama breaking the law, the source of the leaks isnt that important because they are pseudo whistle blowers. If we were talking about leaks trying to disrupt Obama's re-election campaign, the source may be important if it looks like the source is a foreign entity and there is an issue of credibility. Ultimately the Clinton emails arent really comparable, because the Clinton leaks were not an attempt to show that Clinton had violated US law or was working with a foreign govt.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 10:59 AM) Mickey Mouse Club house and Roadster Racers. This week he's picking up on the show Super Why. My little girl loves Super Why and the Mickey Stuff. She is now at the point though where shell make specific requests "I want Shimmer and Shine", which I kind of laugh about because she never has lived in a world where Netflix/On Demand didnt exist, so she just thinks she can request anything at any time. That being said, she also loves Star Wars and knows most of the characters, one time she said that Darth Vader was her father.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 14, 2017 -> 03:39 PM) Then why haven't they started formal impeachment proceedings? Get on with it. Republicans control the house, only they can start impeachment proceedings. So basically youll have to vote Democrat in the next election if you want any accountability.

Eventually its going to be death by a thousand cuts for Trump. I just cant imagine that this is fun for him anymore. And as much fun as it may be to watch the self proclaimed "Winner", lose, it is definitely sombering because every American bears the cost. I guess the silver lining is that I dont think Trump can give Crimea to Russia now, way to much scrutiny. I bet Putin is pissed.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 02:56 PM) I feel I have to remind people because I get lumped in with Trump lovers. I'm just giving him a chance unlike many on the board. We couldn't even have a nice thread wishing him the best after the election. There's no reason for me to want Trump to fail. I gave Trump a legitimate chance. I could never have predicted that within less than 100 hundred days hed be challenging Nixon for most dishonest President.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 02:45 PM) It was on yahoo but I guess FOX News wrote it http://nation.foxnews.com/2017/02/13/goodw...e-lost-election Actually its a New York Post editorial being reprinted by Fox. And you do realize that Venuta and Trump are almost opposite, Ventura is socially liberal, fiscally conservative. Trump is socially conservative, fiscally liberal.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 02:26 PM) Do you have a link? I just searched yahoo and couldn't find it http://nypost.com/2017/02/12/clinton-remin...e-election/amp/ At first I thought it was satire, then I realized it wasnt and a part of me cried. These are the only parts you need to see to tell the tone: Like I said, if it was satire, it would have been great.
