There is no rule you cant touch things in public. You are making authoritative statements and acting like they are facts. You want to convice people of your position, you want to make a difference, treat the worst of us with compassion and understanding. You act like this is something any of us have ever experienced.

Do your best man, thats all anyone can ask. Dark times bring out the darkness in even the best people. But no matter how bleak it may get, we each need to try and shine as bright as we can. Now more than ever, because darkness is easy.

To the best of my knowledge Greg hasnt broken any rules. You cant let the darkest times be an excuse to forget who we are. There are plenty of people with way more responsibility and blame then Greg.

This is pretty out of line. I get people are on edge but that type of attack doesnt help. If this is the beginning, if things are only going to get worse, then we have to remain lights for eachother. When you stare into the abyss the abyss stares back into you.

A) hopefully by summer if we take it serious. B) in chaos there is opportunity. - Sun Tzu. Some business will crash, some will excel. The bad times are what separates good leaders from bad, but we will get through C) Because the US is run like a cult and certain people do not hold the administration accountable. Instead of letting doctors/scientists make decisions so that we can get through this faster, we have a supreme leader trying to prove he is smarter than everyone else. And when someone is brave enough to tell the truth they silence them and replace them. That creates chaos because no one knows what is going or who to believe. We have the CDC and they are being silinced so that Trump can hold a daily misinformation political rally.

Italys good news isnt really good, its still bad just better than the day before. And the US is being run by fools that arent qualified to be your assistant. Its sad that all of us have to suffer because of thr mistakes of the few.

To some Obamacare is the worst thing that has ever happened to the United States and it will always remain that way.

Really depends on the landlord. My guess is that most landlords are considering forbearance agreements because there is no point evicting a tenant when you arent getting another one any time soon.

Well in Chicago the ones I know are: Double Door (currently moving to Uptown so they picked a great time to be closed) Green Mill expanding Riveria ( I was wrong on this one. They are Jam. I just received an email asking for donations for their staff. Which seems to indicate the company is fine, but their workers arent.) Aragon are owned by Live Nation so basically they are fine unless the entire music industry collapses. Radius is a brand new club, obviously terrible timing as they only were able to put on 2 weeks of shows. Other ones like Concord etc I havent seen anything about. Ive seen a bunch of Milwaukee clubs asking for assistance.

The good news if you read a lot of forums is that there are music fans who want to go out there today and are mad that things are closed.

Metro has been saying that they are fine. It really depends on who owns that building. If they own it they should be fine because that real estate has a lot of value.

Woah woah woah, enough of your math and science. What does your hunch say about it? We are at 15 cases well be at 0 in a few days, so dont do anything proactive, its going to magically disappear.

Its George Soros revenge.

I think the plan is to get the appropriate amount of tests so that we can test everyone. Then we can work with 1) who is sick, 2) who has been sick and likely not able to get sick again and 3) who isnt sick and who we need to protect. If we had a taken this seriously to start, we could have done those 3 things and likely never had to do any of this. There is some old saying, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Unfortunate lythe current administration doesnt like to follow that saying.

I was trying to say that if the drug comment was an isolated incident then Id give him the benefit of the doubt about trying to give people a light at the end of the tunnel. But when you look at the totality of the circumstances, its hard for me to give him a pass.

Im talking about when he called the entire thing a "hoax" and implied the scientific and medical community were making it up as some sort of partisan attack against him. Maybe its "tame" for him, but it is the equivalent of FDR blaming the Republican's for Pearl Harbor. No matter what he does I refuse to be desensitized to the damage he has caused America. Maybe its nothing for some, but this is a country that means more to me than I can really express in words. The fact we have let our country be reduced this to pains me. Watching public servants get attacked for simply doing their job is inexcusable. And there is no "tame", its wrong and every American should repeat that over and over until it stops. Doctors are going to die doing their job to save people, they deserve better than what we see on tv every day.

Its nice to be optimistic. But when the person is attacking people who are giving legitimate medical information, Im not going to give them a pass about "hope."

Would they have even thought of ingesting it but for Trump comments? He shouldn't have said anything, hes not qualified. Argue whatever you want.

Smoking is bad when it comes to respiratory issues. Likely the same result with marijuana. For the time being best to stay away from them just to be safe.

Didnt read the whole thing but this is the part your probably looking for: "This is why pushing the federal government to expand testing as broadly and quickly as possible is so important. Katz has created a rough template for the two-week-plus-sequestration-of-the-most-vulnerable strategy and how to think about coronavirus risk stratification, and different responses, on his website." This is the website: https://www.dietid.com/covid19

I agree, but also think there is some dumb luck in the fact that bad weather/cold temperatures make people more willing to stay at home.

You're not a bad guy. We're all doing the best we can. I called up the person who cuts my hair and told them if they need to, call me and they can charge me for a haircut and theyll owe me one in the future. In some way your barber post made me think to do it. We have to all work together so that there is a light on the otherside.

The only usefulness for tests is to 1) quarantine people who are infected and 2) identify those who have had it and are potentially now able to work safely and not catch it again. Otherwise testing numbers are just numbers.
-
I cant make tests, I cant make there be more tests. The only thing I can do is try to do my little part. And the hope is that if we all do our own little part that we can overcome whatever shortcomings there may be. In the worst times, we each have to lead by example. Its not a perfect solution, its not even the best solution, but its what we have today. We have to stay optimistic, we have to do our best and we have to prepare for the worst.
