  1. Im going to say it relates to South Park.
  2. hard to tell on that end. PG chose to stay with Westbrook, and only wanted to leave when a better opportunity presented itself. Allegedly Rockets are trying to trade for Westbrook to go with Harden.
  3. Not trading for him may be the safer choice. But right now the NBA is as wide open as its been for a while. Westbrook would give the Bulls instant credibility. And if you can get him cheap in terms of talent, its worth the risk. Who else are they going to use the cap space on in the future? Every time they try for FAs they miss out, this year they werent even considered by any of them. I mean: Carter/Lauri/Porter/Lavine/Westbrook is actually an interesting team. Not sure if the cap space works though. I guess had they not signed Young, potentially they could have gotten rid of Dunn/Felicio and been really close.
  4. If the Bulls can get Westbrook without giving up Lauri and Carter, I think you do it. The Bulls need to get a superstar and get back on the path to relevance. They also need to show other players that they can be aggressive.
  5. Yeah I think so. Watch him fall to the Spurs and they make something out of him.
  6. At this point in the draft a fliern on Bol seems like a no brainer. Id be surprised if he makes it to bulls.
  7. Im fine with Reddish or Culver, no real interest in trading back.
  8. Im not sure what the plan here is with Moncada. He didnt seem right yesterday.
  9. Seems like the Lakers need to sell off their remaining salaries. I wouldnt mind getting Mo Wagner on the cheap.
  10. I think Renteria believed that by the time Moncada got up Hamels would be gone and therefore hed face a righty. Its still ridiculous and so unnecessarily risky.
  11. I agree with this. I actually misread the trade and thought it was LaVine for Ball + 4 (meaning no pick swap) and I still wouldnt do it.
  12. Lakers believe that they can lure top FAs. AD will sign long term, then they just need to recruit guys there. Besides for this year, they likely believe most of those picks are going to middle first round picks. I know Im on the other side here, but If I was NO Id have looked for something different.
  13. This is the strategy people wanted. You go overslot early and take cheap guys from 5-10 for slot savings. Then 10 on they will draft guys who wont cost them pool money. To me its the best strategy, and you just cant take a risk of losing hundreds of thousands because you took a guy who was too good.
  14. Vaughn is in a different class than Burger. Vaughn would never have fallen to 11.
  15. Some of the comments make no sense. Besides for Rutschman, Vaughn is basically the safest pick to make it to MLB.
  16. I realize how special Frank Thomas was. But the point remains, he was a 1b. You cant just pass on a guy because hes 1b.
  17. The best WS player in my lifetime was a 1B.
  18. How many guys have terrible production in the minors and then are stars in the majors? At some point you have to produce.
  19. Its one thing to question production when the guy is playing in HS or subpar competition. But Vaughn is played in a respectable league and put up numbers that are similar to great players. Its impossible to predict the future, but its hard to be upset when you get the guy who has the freakish numbers.
  20. I dont think its Abrams is hated, I just think its that Vaughn potentially has a dynamic bat that could advance quickly. And Im not sure Vaughn is overrated. The guy has over a 2:1 BB:K ratio over the last 2 years, while hitting .380+ with power.
  21. From a pure stat perspective, Vaughn reminds me of Bagwell.
  22. In a normal year I think Abrams would be a fine pick. But the Sox have a chance at Rutchsman/Vaughn, and those guys just seem to be clearly better when you consider the risk associated with prep players. I just want one of those 2.
