  1. Yolmer already has been invited to Yonder's kids first baseball game. Yolmer is bringing the bucket of gatorade.
  2. Yonder and Yolmer probably talked or something. Yonder told Machado he is hilarious and thus the follow.
  3. If Machado was going to take a 1 or 2 year contract, hed have to get one of those insurance policies like college football players. Not sure if he could get one for $100mil plus, but its theoretically possible, especially if it had like a $1mil premium.
  4. Usually I feel I can get some sort of sense as to what is going on. But after yesterday, I really just am not sure. My only explanation is that nobody really has a clue. That all of these conflicting "sauces" really dont have any insight and are basically just speculating. That the bar for "sauces" is so low that people are just repeating things because otherwise there would be 0 to report. Otherwise its a battle of "sauces" and I guess the "sauce" you like depends on what you want to happen. My no sauce feeling right now is that the Sox are closer to getting 0 than 2, but that somehow they still find a way to get Machado. I think that while economically I understand not wanting to pay, and sticking to "My offer is the best so you have to take it" that its not how I would go forward. I think that even if the Sox are the best offer at $175mil, I think they need to substantially increase it to make Machado happy and get this relationship off to the right start. It just makes no sense the Sox are willing to invest $20-$30mil this offseason on random guys, but wont give Machado the type of money his previous performance deserves. I guess maybe the Sox feel emboldened after what happened with JD Martinez last yaer. But even then, Martinez was older and played a less premium position.
  5. The problem with the Boras theory, is why would the reporters consider him or his agents a reliable source for Machado's negotiation.
  6. Its definitely problematic. No sauces, but when you compare Sox/Philly, there has been many more rumors about the Sox, and the information has been much more specific. Its absolutely possible that Lozano is putting on a show here, but I am starting to think that someone from the Sox camp is getting too cute. This also could be why JR has to step in.
  7. Or Gomez, and Gomez has been adamant that he is right.
  8. Its peculiar. I guess it depends on what level they are willing to call a "sauce."
  9. This is just semantics then. The 3 main players were Yankees, Phillies and Sox. They as of now, were the ones who met Machado and had serious discussions. Those are the only 3 teams who were (imo) in it from the start. Another team saying "Hey call me maybe", isnt really in it.
  10. $175mil is way different than $300mil. And the expectation to start the off-season was $300mil. I absolutely believe there are teams out there who would consider $200mil that wouldnt have touched $300mil. But again, no way is Lozano leaking such a low offer. Corbin got 6 years $140. No way is Machado only getting 7 years $175.
  11. No sauces. But this is all hypothetical based on my perception using different negotiations that I have been a part of as a baseline. For example. Lets say Im looking to buy a house. My limit is $500k. There is this amazing house, but its listed at $1mil. Its unlikely my agent is going to take me to see that house. Its unlikely I even have my agent talk to their agent, because its way out of my price range. As it turns out, the best offer on the house is currently $400k. How do you get it out into the market to potential buyers "Hey maybe you should make an offer" without letting them know the only other offer is way below what you want. Thats why Lozano would only want leaks that are somewhat close to what he wants for Machado. Hed never want one so low that another team starts at 7/180, thats just too much work to try and push to the $250 range. Because if those teams were willing to go $250, theyd have been in on him at the start.
  12. Why would it piss off the Sox? Lets say in a hypothetical world the White Sox are really close to getting this done. Lozano/Machado arent happy they arent getting $300mil, but the market has shown $250mil is as good as it gets. In order to save some face, Lozano asks the Sox if he can leak their initial offer. Why would the Sox say no? Sox fans arent going to be upset that they got Machado for $250. They are going to be over the moon happy. Other teams arent going to be upset, because the leak was factual. The $175mil leak helps no one. It hurts the Sox because its so low that it theoretically it makes another team jump in. And there is no way Lozano would want anyone to know this.
  13. No. As down as Ive been on Dunn, he actually has shown something this year.
  14. Allright, here is my no sauces take that I think many of you might like. **NO SAUCES** 7/$175 may have be an original offer, but it is definitely not what is out there now. Lozano is a businessman and Machado is one of his star clients. If he wants to keep getting big name clients, he needs to show results. Machado is close to signing a MUCH bigger deal, but much less than the 10 year $350 etc. So what can Lozano do to make sure he looks good? Let people know just how much he got people to increase offers. Lozano looks like a bad agent if he took a client worth $350 and only got him $275. But Lozano looks like a great agent if he can say "I took offers from $175 and got them up to $275." So that is my no sauces take for the day. The offers are significantly higher, but Lozano is now trying to control expectations.
  15. A lot of people are inexperienced, awkward, etc and they dont have a condition, so I cant imagine the difficulty you must be facing. The best advice I can give is to be yourself. All I can say is that online dating is rough under the best circumstances. I understand why you want to be honest and upfront, but unfortunately (imo) that is just making it even more difficult.
  16. If you met a girl in public. Would the first thing you told her be that you have autism?
  17. The way I would look at it is this. Let someone meet you and draw their own conclusions. If you feel it is necessary to tell them, then by all means do it. But online, your profile is one of thousands. You are competing against other people who are not only omitting negative information, but also saying things to make themselves look more attractive. I wont say go out there and lie, but put your best foot forward. Give yourself a chance.
  18. Im not a woman, but I would say that you shouldnt be so upfront about anything that could be seen as negative or problematic to a potential partner. So to answer your questions. 1) I would not say your autistic or live with your parents. Normal people lie, exaggerate online constantly. They put up their BEST picture, even if it is from 20 years ago. They use fake pictures, they say things that arent true whatever. No I wouldnt say go that far, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with putting your best foot forward. If you met a girl at a bar, the first thing out of your mouth hopefully wouldnt be a list of anything that could be seen as negative, so why would it be on your dating profile? 2) When you feel comfortable. You dont even have to do it on the first date. Let the person like you, then you can tell them. 3) There is no right answer here. In general people like talking about themselves. I would say read their profile and write something about what interests them. There is no absolute formula. Be yourself, but dont sink your chances before you get a shot. As for your friends. I would say you should never count someone out because of age difference. When I first met the person I am with, I said I would never date someone that young (we are 8-9 years apart depending on which of our birthday's has happened.) That was over 4 years ago. Yes sometimes its funny that she has no idea about anything from the 80s, but so what. Youre 32 years old, late 25+ is perfectly okay. If you are limiting opportunities by age, your just making it harder on yourself.
  19. Ive been saying this for days. Even if the Sox are the last team standing they are still going to pay a certain amount. When youre about to sign the face of your franchise you want it to be positive. Personally i think 8/280 is s deal everyone can feel good about. I also think the Sox could throw some incentives so that Manny could legitimately make 300 mil guaranteed. Have option years at the back end that vest upon milestones etc. At the end of the day you want the best Machado and one who has a reason to outperform 8/280.
