Rand Paul had some great quotes there: Freedom is best when its enjoyed by the majority (strange that he didnt say freedom is best when its enjoyed by all) Govt needs to get out of our way (great take govt out of things like gay marriage, drug enforcement) Those are paraphrasing, but still annoying that he doesnt see the hypocrisy in his beliefs.

Hard to tell, im just using the Tribune website. http://elections.chicagotribune.com/results/ 15% of the total state reporting, Dems up around 160-170k votes. 38% of cook county has reported, so they need to still open that lead up if they want to win.
-
Looks like cook county is reporting first. Alexi and Quinn both with 100k leads as of now. I think they both will have to be up at least 250k after 75% of Cook reports if they want to win. But it appears cook county had a good turn out.

Who cares what Thome made and that he had a great season? Some guys make $300k and have all star years, other guys make $14mil and ride the pine. $2mil is not a lot of money for a veteran player who can provide defense and perhaps a little hitting. I dont even understand the relevance of Thome or Damon. Neither of them play similar positions to Vizquel, neither of them have the same skill sets.
-
Glad to have Vizquel back. He was nothing but a solid guy, and in todays baseball economy $2mil is nothing.

I agree completely. While Democrats were complacent, all of the huge predictions for Republicans may cause a few more Democrats to show up.

Itll be impressive if Farve can play next week, he may have suffered a broken jaw.

Barclay is the court appointed representative for the children. Wade has his own attorneys, same as the wife. In custody cases, guardianship matters, etc, the court appoints an attorney who is disinterested (no involvement or connection) to represent the children. So this would in no way be about unfair representation, as they dont represent Wade, they represent the children.

It depends on how late I have to work. If I dont get home until after 7 Ill just probably leave it to fate. Not that it really matters because I hope that Congress is in gridlock for another 2 years so that the country can see how stupid politics have become and maybe people can start to be reasonable. Im just so tired of people drawing lines in the sand where they wont make reasonable accommodations for the good of the whole. The main reason I would vote is because I am actually some what concerned that if Republicans get in power that they will absolutely destroy the economy beyond repair. I know its a little known fact, but Reagan basically tripled the US debt. I am really nervous that many of these people who are so keen on cutting taxes wont realize that you cant spend what you dont have. And will end up putting the US further and further in debt. No one likes to pay taxes, but to sit here and think that we will be able to increase spending while decreasing revenue is ridiculous. Anyway everyone has their own opinion, Id just like the country to be in a better position in 2 years than it is now. I sincerely doubt that will be the case, but hope springs eternal.

The saddest part about that article is it sounds like the Bulls could have had a roster of: Noah, Bosh, Lebron, Wade and Rose. Its a shame that Wade was a complete b**** and wanted to make sure everyone came to Miami so it could be his team. I actually know one of the lawyers who works for Lester Barclay (the guardian of Wades kids and who has recommended that Wade be given full custody), I am always so tempted to call him and ask how he can support Wade getting the kids when Wade purposefully didnt move back to Chicago where he could have spent more time with them. Id never do it, but damn does Wade annoy me.

Ill probably vote Quinn/G I hate G, but lines have been drawn in the sand and at this point the only way to potentially protect my perspective is to basically vote straight Democrat. I also am going to implore all of my friends to vote for a similar reason. Its hard to vote in non-Presidential years, which means that the more determined (aka older voters) will get more of a say. Regardless I think that in 2 years the Democrats will come back when its a Presidential election and people realize that many of the candidates were all talk no substance. Or I wont vote at all, hard to tell what will happen Tuesday.

Well you cant blame Boise for not going to the Big 12 or Pac 10, I cant imagine either of those conferences would want Boise. Also if you want me to consider your team legitimate, you gotta get rid of gimmick things like smurf turf. They shouldnt need a turf advantage to beat these teams. -
So do you think ESPN will do a countdown to 10 losses?

I love Boardwalk Empire, but many of the plot lines are going to take a few episodes, if not seasons, to play out.

TCU is going to have to win at Utah a top 10 team (atm). Boise will have to win at Nevada barely top 25. If TCU and Boise go undefeated, you have to give the nod to TCU. -

No its because of the players on the team. Now they may not have 2-3 losses, but I sincerely doubt that if Boise played a Big 10, SEC or Big 12 slate that they would go undefeated. Most teams in those conferences are going to have to beat 2-3 teams ranked in the top 15 and 1 of those games will potentially be on the road. I think Boise would be in the middle of the pack in most conferences. -

Its hard to give Boise State a shot when they play only 1 or 2 teams in the bottom half of the top 25 every year. Other teams keep losing because when you have 2 top 10 teams play in a single game, some one has to lose. Id rather give a 1 loss team a shot than Boise. -
I think it would have been better if Boozer was "The Thing" and Rose was "Mr Fantastic" The Hulk doesnt even make sense.

South Park taking shots at Inception. Needless to say if you havent seen Inception Id watch it before seeing this weeks South Park.

I really doubt Iowa "beats down" Wisconsin. Iowa may win (Wisconsin historically does not play Iowa well), but I cant see a beat down. Wisconsin's offense has just to many weapons. Barring a complete mental breakdown it most likely ends as a 1 possession game. -
Yes JR is part of a conglomerate. But he is the spokesman and its easier to type JR instead of all of the individual owners.
-
You can only work with the evidence given. Im fully aware of when baseball went to free agency and I understand how baseball worked prior to Curt Flood. The bottom line is that JR has spent more than roughly 2/3's of the owners in baseball for the last few seasons. The owner prior to JR consistently spent in the lower third. Since 2005 JR has spent to try and keep the Sox competitive. Im not sure why you are so confident that a new owner would outspend JR.
-
The implication was that JR has spent more comparatively. Under JR the Sox have been in the top 10 of payroll and I believe even the top 5. Im pretty sure that no other owner has had them that high.
