  1. Beckham just tries to get the job done moving over Alexei and gets rewarded for it.
  2. A lot of over reaction for 1 bad inning.
  3. Well Bledsoe would be the exact opposite style of player youd match up Bouldin with. Bouldin is a bigger guard. Im not basing this off of summer league, basing it off of watching him on Gonzaga last year.
  4. I think Bouldin has a shot to make the team. Hes a gritty player who may not be the best athlete but can do most of the little things. He also is kind of a jerk so a great guy to put on the other teams best player.
  5. There was some youtube footage of Rose working out posted in this thread. You didnt see a lot of the shots, but you could tell by the form that hed been working hard.
  6. Well my comments on the trade were pretty good, except for saying that the White Sox thought Anderson and Borchard might be something. I liked Olivo more than Reed, but Im generally down on all Sox prospects until proven otherwise.
  7. I assume my warn level is 0%. I guess I need to start offending people.
  8. Thornton should have had him. Cant blame anyone else.
  9. White Sox play well in NL parks
  10. Rock, You are really on fire right now. And I agree that needles are what turns people off on Heroin.
  11. I dont know, but you can check the first page where I predicted where he would go and it was: 1) Chicago 2) Miami Anyhow, Melo is a pipe dream and after this off-season I dont want the Bulls holding money for super star fa's unless they are one of Rose's buddies.
  12. Bulls werent getting Melo in FA. And I disagree with the assertion that a star is what they need to combat the Miami threesome. I think the Bulls needed players who can spread the floor on offense to take advantage of individual match ups. If a defender has to stand in a corner to cover a 3 point shooter, it gives Rose/Booze Cruise more room to work in the lane.
  13. The way the article was written that I read about Paul's contract was misleading so I wasnt 100%. And damn NY really knows how to make itself bad through trades.
  14. Carmelo is a FA next year. Paul is a fa in 2011 as well if he doesnt exercise his player option. (At least I think that is right, it could be 2012) That means NY could pull it off next year as long as they keep a crappy team with only Amare on the books. Plus they could potentially get a high draft pick. NBA might have be in for some trouble. As for the Bulls, I think Bouldin may make the team and play a few minutes. He can probably be a serviceable defender against most sg/sf who are not to quick (ie Wade). Hes a pretty intense player who also has some decent post moves for a guard and was Gonzaga's best player most games. I thought he was a tool, but when he plays for your team you like that type of guy.
  15. At least one of the articles has finally corrected people's misconception about state income tax.
  16. You mean Lebroning yourself?
  17. I doubt that Ill look foolish, but we can come back to this thread in 10 years. Lebron wont be considered the greatest player of all time. If he is, I will change my icon in his honor.
  18. Because I think Kobe would have been man enough to call the Lakers and tell them himself that he was leaving. You cant excuse Lebron from that, I understand it would have been awkward and uncomfortable to tell Gilbert himself that he was leaving. It is what it is, you can argue until your blue in the face, but last night is being perceived by most non-Miami fans the same way. I barely even watch the NBA, but this is my reaction and I was a huge Lebron fan boy. He lost his mojo.
  19. I dont really follow the NBA that closely, Im a big NCAA fan. But prior to last night the only player I watched was Lebron. When the Cavs were on, I watched that Cavs and rooted for them. I probably have not followed any NBA team closely since Jordan left the Bulls. Im a Bulls fan, but its not like Im beholden to them or mad that they didnt get Lebron. Had Lebron gone to LA, NYK, Nets, etc it would have been much different. I could of understood saying your the best player and you want new challenges. I dont understand going to the only team where your a sidekick, that is if you think your the best player.
  20. You do realize that prior to MJ winning the Bulls had never won a championship. You do realize that MJ never even made the NBA finals until the year they beat the Pistons. MJ could have left, but he knew the only way to be the best, was to beat the best. And so when the Bulls downed the Pistons and then took out the Lakers, MJ became the greatest guard alive. He beat Magic, he beat Isaih. He didnt leave to go play with them. And if Lebron is happy with being 2nd or 3rd tier, then he just isnt as good as I thought he was. Today's NBA its Kobe 1, and then the rest of the pack. Here is what Lebron accomplished: 1) Make Kobe likable and the best player in the NBA today, 2) He made himself unlikable. I understand your a Heat fan, but universally this move is getting panned and Lebron's image may be irreparably harmed.
  21. And this is why Lebron lost respect. Lets say MJ needed another player in Chicago, and called up Magic. Magic says "Sorry MJ Id love to play with you, but Im not going to Chicago." Do you think MJ then turns around and goes to play with Magic? No So Lebron let Bosh turn him into a joke. Lebron couldnt lure 1 free agent to cleveland? He couldnt sell 1 player on a sign and trade? Bulls***. Lebron took the easiest road possible. Quit comparing him to MJ, its nonsense. Pippen wasnt one of the best players before he came to Chicago, he became one of the best players with MJ. Wade was already a Champion, Lebron will have 1 less ring no matter what they do. Would that have been acceptable to MJ? No
  22. Here is a SI columnist's take: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writ....html?eref=sihp Most of these sentiments mirror what I was saying last night. Its just hard to accept that a player of Lebron's ability taking the easy way out. Ah well, it kind of sucks just because I would have liked Lebron on any other team.
  23. Bill Cartwright > ALL John Paxson = White lightning What the Cavs (haha I called the heat the cavs) dont have that the Bulls did was a Craig Hodges/Steve Kerr, etc. A guy when they would focus on Grant, Pippen and Jordan could make them pay. It was a fun ride while it lasted, but once the fall comes and there is NFL, NCAA Football and Basketball, Hockey, NBA will once again fall off my radar. Feels like summer love.
