QUOTE (sircaffey @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:17 AM) I may have missed this in the million pages, but apparently Rose has been calling and texting LBJ. Where did you hear this? This is the first report of any contact between Lebron and Rose and also contradicts other reports that Rose wasnt hot on Lebron. Not saying that its wrong, but if this is true it even gives me more hope that the Bulls are in it to win it. The main reason being that maybe Lebron asked them all to keep their mouth shut, and they are actually listening.
-
Conversely "Lebronasty" has been trademarked by a Shanliam Properties, LLC LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY OHIO 4101 McLean Drive Cincinnati OHIO 45255, but was abandoned in 2008. They stopped believing in Lebron that long ago?

The Miami Thrice website rumor should have no legs. If it was being done by some one in the know, the first thing they would have done is file a TM application. Right now Miami Thrice and The Air Apparent are both up for grabs haha
-
I should just file an intent to use TM on "The Air Apparent". Then I should twitter that some one trademarked that name. Ooooooo Only problem is I cant imagine my bosses being pleased if we get a thousand phone calls about our connection with Lebron.

Im not buying Miami. If I had to bet, Id say its Knicks, Chicago, Cleveland or Nets. I cant see Lebron going to Miami on Wade's terms. I cant see Lebron and Wade in game 7 of the Finals with 10 seconds left deciding who is going to take the shot. If Lebron is ego, if Lebron is megalomania, if Lebron wants a cult of personality, then Lebron needs to be his own man. He couldnt team up with Wade, he couldnt team up with Bosh, he had to make his own road. Knicks, Nets, Bulls, Cavs all provide that. They have complimentary pieces, but no one is going to argue that it is Rose's show, or Harris, etc. On the Bulls. Cavs, Nets, he is the highest paid player, there is no Amare with a max, no Wade getting a 6 year deal to his 5, no Bosh/Wade stealing his thunder announcing the day before. Of the teams left, I was most concerned about the Knicks yesterday, it seemed like momentum was heading there way. In the final hour, I am going to change my mind and go with the Bulls. This is not based on rumor, not based on fact, just based on my perception of the events and how they have unfolded. Lebron wants tonight to be the biggest show on earth, and if he has anyone with a marketing brain, the most important thing to tonight is surprise. If all the rumors say Lebron to Miami, and then he goes there, his big special is a so what. Instead if all the rumors say the Bulls are out and at the last moment he picks the Bulls headband, hell dominate the news cycle. There wont be any "Lebron joins Wade/Bosh in Miami" headlines, instead they will say "Lebron the Air Apparent"
-
Does anyone believe that Lebron would follow Wade/Bosh to Miami? If Lebron was going to Miami, wouldnt they have made it so they all announce together? Now Lebron looks like a follower. Would he really let that happen? I just cant see Lebron going anywhere that he could be considered 2nd fiddle.

The best thing for his Legacy would be to go to New Jersey and dominate the Knicks from Brooklyn and have Jay-Z write anthems about him. If you want legacy, Jay can make you immortal.

It does give me hope that Boozer is allegedly calling Lebron and trying to sell him on the Bulls. As for the paperwork, I couldnt really read it so Im not sure what the relevance is. Now if it was Lebron's friends agency and it was moving locations to Chicago, Im pretty sure that tells you all you need to know.
-
if the bulls didnt go to Lebron and say that him winning 7 championships would make people in Chicago say, Jordan who, then they are far worse than I could have possibly imagined. I mean thats just common sense. You tell the new guy he is the best thing ever, even if you dont believe it.
-
Boozer could have taken slightly less if he was told it would guarantee Lebron. Its odd he signed for the exact number that would make Lebron max contract possible.
-
How quickly emotions turn on this ride. With Boozer signing that deal, does it not feel like the writing is on the wall for Lebron? 1) Lebron is the highest paid player on the Bulls, no tie with Amare. 2) Lebron comes to a core group of Boozer, Noah, Rose. No trades needed. Bulls could potentially keep Deng as SG/SF for line up of Rose, Deng, Lebron, Boozer, Noah. 3) Bosh/Wade dont go to Bulls even thought it seemingly made more sense. 4) Bulls have been extremely quiet while being at the forefront of all rumors. Can this really be happening?
-
Boozer, Lebron, Noah, Rose > Wade, Bosh, Rose If the Bulls pull that off, they were masterminds.
-
Its a really hard situation to read at this point, the only positive for a Bulls fan is it seems like the Bulls have passed on seemingly every other option. I also think that Bosh/Wade wanted to beat lebron to the punch, ie if he is going to Chicago tomorrow, Wade/Bosh get to say that they chose Miami, instead of: "We wanted Chicago but they wanted Lebron". Who the hell knows at this point, I just hope that Jerry wrote a blank check.
-
/points up I definitely feel like the Bulls had Wade/Bosh over the weekend but went for the bigger fish. It could still play out for them, they know more than we do.
-
LEBRON IS OURS Just kidding, but that Mansfield guy is actually bringing evidence to the table, which you always gotta like. The bulls have a chance, theyve got about 24 hours to make it happen. Pull out all the stops, whatever it takes at this point. If I was Reinsdorf, Id seriously consider saying something like the Bulls will offer Lebron an option to purchase a piece of the Bulls. That could be a trump card here and something MJ would never have. Being an owner of the Bulls.
-
Obama needs to veto this s***. I dont care if he doesnt have the power, itd be hilarious. Or threaten to have a national address during lebron's announcement, unless he guarantees Chicago. LEBRON!
-
Lebron to fight in Wrestlemania for title. God I wish I had a twitter account.
-
Vince McMahon is Lebron's new agent. Tweeted by me at 2:39 EAT IT TWITTER

I just have this feeling Lebron is going to be a Knick. That the Bulls had him but Amare swayed him.
-
I mean there are good arguments against NYK, it just seems the momentum is building. Im not even sure if Lebron would do that to Jay-Z. Business is business, but Id imagine Lebron would go out of his way to try and be a Net before a Knick.
-
Unless the Bulls told Rose not to get involved, you really do have to wonder where he has been in all of this. I understand if he didnt want to choose sides over Wade/Lebron, but he could at least be saying that hed love to have either. And today he could be making a pitch for Lebron. It wouldnt hurt, but you just have to wonder what is up. The Bulls were seemingly front runners, yet the Bulls players are just sitting on the sidelines?
-
If the Bulls want Lebron, Rose has to make a call, or show up. The reason why NYK is all of a sudden a hot rumor is because Amare is courting Lebron. It isnt enough that the ownership/management wants him, he wants to know that the team wants him. I feel like Lebron wanted to be a Bull, but is getting strange vibes from the players.

Favorites, is different than what im saying. Im saying if you add all the chances of every team vs. Miami, that the "field" would be the favorite. Which means that while Miami would have the best odds of any single team, they would not have a better chance than all teams. If Lebron goes to Miami, I may just put a bet on the field (if they would even allow such a proposition bet), just so that when they undoubtedly fail for whatever reason, injury, spaceship crash, sun spots, I can laugh.
-
I guess then the NBA shouldnt have a season because Miami is going to win the title. If Lebron goes to Miami, Ill gladly take the field. My guess is that Miami would not be favorites against the field.
