I actually dont think Wade/Bosh/Lebron match up that well against the Lakers or potentially other teams in the West. They have no defensive big man. One of Lebron/Wade would primarily take over ball handling, and you just may have a team that wins 70+ games, but against the best team could lose 4 out of 7. Even Boston's line up would give them some trouble.

I still hold a 10% hope that Lebron is going to the Bulls. Here would be my theory: Bulls had a chance at Wade/Bosh, but wouldnt commit because they wanted Lebron. They go to the meeting with Lebron and tell him, your #1, whatever you want we do. Lebron originally tells the Bulls he wants Bosh or Wade, so the Bulls try and get this done. As the week progresses and Lebron sees the show Bosh and Wade are putting on, Lebron begins to have second thoughts about playing with them. They may be friends, but perhaps Lebron doesnt want a circus? Lebron goes back to the Bulls and tells them, hell only come if Bosh/Wade dont. Bulls agree with Lebron and now are working on some different plan to get the player that Lebron wants. Its the only scenario that would be working in the Bulls favor. Otherwise I think the Bulls were in the lead until Amare went to NYK and started pitching Lebron. The only thing against NYK is that Lebron may not want to play there because Jay-Z is the Nets owner and they are friends.

What will be funny is when the Wade, Lebron, Bosh team doesnt win any Championships. They may all be great, but its not the best line up construction. Lebron/Wade should be looking for a team with a great pg and a great defensive center. I also wonder how they are going to find enough shots to appease them all. The Bulls were the perfect situation, whatever they did/didnt do, cost them.

I dont think it has helped the Bulls cause that the Derek Rose has been completely out of sight and out of mind. I know its his personality, but you have to imagine if Rose shows up with the Bulls contingency in Cleveland and personally pitches Lebron it resonates a lot more.

Hopefully this pisses Reisndorf off and he goes out and trades for Kobe, Carmelo and Dwight Howard. Then Lebron, Wade and Bosh cry about not being in Chicago. Take that bastards! If I was the Bulls, id be trying to trade for bad contracts that expire next year and load up on draft picks. At this point the only choice is to try and get lucky through the draft or in a trade later in the season.

No state income tax is kind of a red herring. You pay income tax based on the state it was earned in. For the 41 games in Florida, they dont have to pay state taxes. For the 41 games on the road they do. Also state taxes are extremely low.

No the Bulls did not tell the Raptors we will trade whoever it takes to get a s&t done asap. Im not saying it was a bad decision, just the Bulls left the door open way to long. If they tell Bosh we are going to get your s&t, when Wade and Bosh are in Chicago, perhaps Miami never gets another chance to pitch them. In the end the Bulls were holding out for Lebron, its been clear that is who the Bulls covet. Some times you swing and miss, I guess the only good news is the Bulls havent done jack, so they have to be holding some hope that Lebron says yes.

Who cares, Miami with Wade/Bosh/Beasely may be better today, but for how many years in the future? I had a feeling this is how it would go down when the Bulls didnt go nuts after Bosh. There was no way to keep all 3 happy, and I feel the bulls tried to hold out for the biggest fish. The real killer may have been Amare. If Lebron goes to NYK, it had everything to do with them snatching up Amare and giving Lebron a real scenario, instead of the Bulls "dream" scenarios.

Bulls are going to need to hope that they hit it big in the draft, oh wait. I think that the Bulls management made some mistakes, not sure what the right moves would have been, but my guess is not what the Bulls did.

Back to caring about NCAA basketball. I really feel the Bulls had a chance and played their position to strong. It would have been nice to see Rose out there pitching Lebron, etc. Maybe the Bulls can develop into superstars.

Depends on who you credit the recipe too. Some say Homer created, while Moe stole it from him.

Just to give you guys some false hope, guess where Lebron will be on Friday.... http://www.neobasketball.com/Tournaments/S...owcaseHome.html I actually kind of feel Lebron may come to Chicago. He waited until his Cleveland camp was over and now he makes his announcement the day before his Chicago camp?

Official 2010 World Cup Thread
Soxbadger replied to ChiSox_Sonix's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Spain- Dutch would give us a new country winning the world cup. Dutch- Germany would carry more weight. Either way its going to be a great game, cant wait for Germany-Spain. -
Maybe ESPN asked him. Who knows? Wade and Bosh have been parading around in the media for days, I can give Lebron 1 hour if he gets down to business. It actually makes me glad because I dont have to read this thread or worry what is going on. Thursday night everything will happen. (imo) As for disrespectful, how would it be disrespectful if Lebron gave a speech about how Cleveland was his home and he loves it, but some times you have to move on? Itd be more respectful for him to just leave in the middle of the night?

You can some times get a shock in your elbow that hurts like a b****. Always hope for the best!

Handled it worse? Hes been completely silent, he met with the teams he was interested in and gave a definitive time for his decision. Seems pretty professional to me. Hes making a decision that could change the rest of his life and career. Maybe he is leaving Cleveland and he feels he owes them an answer.
-
If Lebron can get his own special, hed be stupid not to take it. Its not the regular season where it may impact his game play. Even if he plays till 40, he has a limited shelf life on his career. Hopefully he has good financial advisors who are telling him that he should cash in while hes King, because you never should bet on tomorrow. Its going to charity, but it just increases his image and popularity, which potentially increases his endorsements. I have no problem with it. Its the NBA's fault for having this week where no one could sign. If Lebron comes to the Bulls Ill be happy, if he stays in Cleveland, Ill understand.

Could do an elimination show. Have it start with 4 teams, end with Bulls/Cavs, Lebron picks Cavs. Not that hard to imagine them milking an hour over anything.

Well Steve the bulls are at a crossroads. They can make a move like Steve would, get rid of Noah get the superstars and figure it out later. They can make a move like me, keep Noah dont get the superstars and try and build, hoping that your players turn into superstars. Personally Im getting nervous as hell and am at the point where I think the Bulls should go the Steve route. Get the superstars, if you can get Wade/Bosh, just do it. Figure out a defensive center, whatever you need later. Trading for a guy during the season isnt even a bad idea, Bosh/Wade/Rose is getting you to the playoffs.
-
Maybe the bulls should sign those kids. Give Lebron a challenge.
-
I feel almost a week ago I posed the question about Noah and whether the Bulls would trade him. I just had this sinking feeling that Toronto wouldn't take Deng and crap, and that Bosh would want the S&T.
-
Bucher's post was a theoretical. As in, if Miami offered it would be done. Horrible phrasing, although I think he is just trying to get views. In which case misleading is the key.
-
Problem is the new CBA may drastically reduce salaries. Lebron 3 year deal would have to be a 6 year deal with opt out.
-
I assume by "Done" he means that if it Miami would propose it Toronto would do it.
