Bellcow back makes little sense for this offense. They need athletes with good hands. I feel Nagy gets less creative when Howard is in because he feels he is one dimensional. -

So in the draft Riley Ridley (Calvin's younger brother) may be there in the third. (If he declares) -

Maybe not elite, but its not helping Trubisky that miller and gabriel are sub 6 feet. A lot of those slight misses are catched by a bigger wr. -

A big physical wr would have spaced the offense better. Plus he has a much bigger catch radius than Gabriel/Miller. It would have made Trubisky's life easier. -

It obviously ended poorly due to injury, but Bears could have taken a shot with adding Dez this year. -

For context over all the Bears season was much better than id have expected. That being said nothing is guaranteed in the NFL so it sucks to lose when your team could go further. I really think today was the first time the Bears played like a team who had something to lose as opposed to a team that was exceeding expectations. There was a part when the announcers talked about "be you", i thought it was ironic because i felt Nagy wasn't being himself. Hes a rookie coach. He made some rookie mistakes in the last few minutes with time management. The Bears can be better next year and i think the hardest part is watching a game where they didnt play great but still had a chance to win get blown because of an inconsistent kicker. -

Jackson being out was huge. Just no way to replace a safety like that because they cover up so many other mistakes. -

Nagy coached like he had a team with a top defense going up against a team with a back up. Its a fine strategy overall, but at some point it was apparent that the Bears defense wasnt going to completely shut them down and they needed to turn up the offense. I personally thought the defensive play calling wasnt that great. Foles was floating deep balls and it seemed like the Bears were content being in zone and giving up short routes. -

My argument is that rodgers has different skills than Trubisky and that no one would ever compare a young rodgers to Trubisky. Mobility in the pocket to extend the play to pass is a different skill than mobility to run for yardage. -

He was mobile but he used that mobility entirely differently than Trubisky. Which is why Trubisky and Rodgers is a horrible comparison. Not to mention Rodgers top skill was arm strength. It was a long time ago but im pretty sure coming into the NFL one of the reports was he could throw 60 yards from his knee. Its a horrible comparison, besides for playing QB Rodgers and Trubisky are not similar. (Edit) He is the one who said Rodgers could have run for 400-500 yards if only he started sooner. Rodgers barely ran in college, it wasnt one of his "skills". -

Thats not the point. Its the style of play. Rodgers was a throw first, second, third and fourth option. I doubt Rodgers has run read option 10 times in his career. -

In college Rodgers ran for 210 and 126 yards in his 2 seasons. He was never a running qb. And hed never run for 500 yards because Rodgers would never pick running over throwing unless they just gave him 20 yards running. They arent similar at all. Im not sure what QB you were watching but it wasnt Rodgers. Many times Rodgers would pass up easy runs for more difficult passes. -

I think the problem i have with the comparison is that Rodgers is nothing like Trubisky. I dont know what early Rodgers you were watching but he wasnt a running QB. Teams didnt spy on Rodgers to prevent him from running. Rodgers has never run for 400 yards in a season. In his first season starting he averaged 12 yards a game for a little bit more than 200 yards. If you want to hot take him as a HOF pick Steve Young or something. -

Its Trubisky's second season. Rodgers went for 4k with 30td and 7 ints. Besides for playing QB they dont really have similar tools. Rodgers top tool was an elite arm, with top tier arm strength. -

Youre on a roll. Rodgers is a HOF qb. I dont even know how you compare them as they couldnt be more different. Rodgers sat on the bench and when he finally started he went for 4k yards. -

Im pretty sure that Nagy and Parkey will be blamed. Some of Mitch's passes were a little off and that maybe would have led to more scores, but that isnt why they lost. Its entirely Nagy and Parkey. -

Nagy also screwed up by using his time out instead of a spike on 1st down. -

If the Bears are worried about guaranteed money to a kicker in a year they were a game away from a playoff bye then they deserve to lose. -

Few bad decisions cost the Bears. But im not sure how they justified keeping Parkey. Did anyone have confidence in him as a kicker? -

Feels like the Bears are playing not to lose instead of playing to win. -
