Taylor would have been a nice play for Wisconsin. Unfortunately he had some problems with the law.

If Alex Brown's sack production wasnt enough, then your most likely going to be disappointed with any player at the position. The Bears for most of Brown's career have brought 4 man rushes, those arent going to bring big sack numbers for any player. Even going up against 5 offensive linemen either Brown would be facing the teams best tackle, or would be likely double teamed. I think there is going to be a lot of disagreement on this topic, but in my opinion Brown will be missed.

Eh I guess Ill go against the majority and say I see no problem. I think KW is trying to say that opening day sets the tone for the season, and why not set a good tone? Sure blackout games are better on must win playoff type atmospheres, but you gotta win games to get in that position. Games in April count just as much as games in September. I guess it comes down to supporting the team, if your GM asks you to do something, do you answer the call?

Of the Bears line, Brown was the most consistent in backfield penetration (thats what she said). I think with Peppers lining up opposite of him, he would have put up 5mil worth of stats.

I think Brown was consistently undervalued by the Bears. Id rather them find other ways to cut 5mil, but life goes on.

Jacob can leave the island as he pleases, that makes it unlikely hes the devil. Hurley is the one who sees the most good in people, akin to Jacob.

Im not sure if it was an entirely bad defensive performance, an amazing offensive performance or both. I think Cornell is going to have real trouble with Kentucky if they try and play at the same pace they did today. And I expect Kentucky to bring pressure early which could increase the pace even more.

You knew the refs were going to make UNI earn it at the end, the 3 was huge, but they gotta make these ft's if/when KU fouls.

I agree completely on Purdue, but many people were acting like Sienna was the favorite to beat them. Jujuan can be great and Moore is often their best scorer. I just thought it was odd how many people were acting like Purdue had no shot.

Supposedly Turner was Wisconsin's to lose and Matta found his estranged father in Columbus and worked some magic. Its why Ryan always talks so much to Turner because he really thinks highly of him.

Bohannon was a 4* recruit at the time, and was booed relentlessly every time he played Iowa (his dad was a rose bowl qb for them). Jarmusz has not turned out that great, but he was Mr Basketball. And what I meant is that you never know what talent will turn into, just because a kid is a 4* doesnt mean hes that great.

Outside of a handful of teams, Wisconsin has about the same talent level. Does Kentucky have more raw talent? Yes, but they are also extremely young and play an entirely different pace/style of game. I dont believe Kentucky would have gone 32-2 in the Big 10.

Im not saying Wofford is good or bad, just if Wisconsin had the 5 seed they probably dont beat Cornell the way they played today. As for "overcome lack of talent", Im not exactly sure thats a fair statement. Leur was a pretty highly regarded recruit, same with Nankivil. Bohannon was Mr. Basketball in Iowa, Taylor was Mr. Basketball in Minnesota and Jarmusz was Mr. Basketball in Wisconsin. Sure a few of them werent Bo's first choices (Ryan was close on Evan Turner and Manny Harris) but Wisconsin has some solid talent, and (imo) 2 players who may play in the NBA (Leur and Taylor). (Edit) They lost by 2 to Purdue @ Purdue with out Leur. They lost to OSU with out Leur. Its hard to really say what Wisconsin would have done on the road with their best player.

I know its odd to say that Purdue was my sleeper pick, but Ive got them going to the sweet 16. Prior to the tournament no one gave them a chance even though they are a 4 seed.

That game is why you work all season to get a high seed. If Wisconsin is against a tougher opponent they may not over come that craptacular performance. Shoot under 40%, 12% from 3point line and outrebounded, not a game you should win, but thankfully a game that Wisconsin found a way to win. Hopefully they find their shot because eventually they are going to need to hit 45% or so to win.

Im just not feeling any team really this year. Which is leading me to my homer choice. I guess I just dont love anyone or the match ups that are presented make teams win that I dislike. Wisconsin Duke Kansas Syracuse Wisconsin Syracuse Wisconsin ! I hate going with so much chalk, but im going crazy with Wisconsin so who really cares.

Ive liked this season. You cant argue taste. I think they are giving us more insight into the characters and what has brought them to where they are, and why they make the decisions they do. I believe that it will all lead up to each of them having to make a decision that will affect the outcome, and that in the end perhaps job of the Candidate is to prevent smokey from leaving the island and killing humanity.
