Seems that the powers that be wanted Kentucky to be tested by a superior defensive team. Placing Temple and Wisconsin in their bracket gives them an opportunity to either face the #3 most efficient defense (Temple's adjusted rank per Pomeroy) or Wisconsin who is #6. Both Temple and Wisconsin seem to be great defensive teams, if they play I believe Wisconsin holds the edge as their offense was the 13th most efficient, compared to Temple's 77th. For comparison, Kentucky is the 18th most efficient offense and 10th most efficient defense. Pomeroy has Wisconsin as his 3rd strongest team though, so they are getting a ton of love from his numbers. http://kenpom.com/rate.php

Part of the problem for Illinois is that 2 of their best wins were against Wisconsin, and one of them was with out Leur. The Big 10 tournament game was a good win, but Wisconsin played their worst game of the season and Illinois barely beat them in the end. Had Illinois not let Wisconsin back in the game, I think we could be looking at a different result. Another reason Illinois was left out, was because Minnesota made it in. I just feel that the tourney capped the Big 10 at 5 bids this season, and even if Illinois and Minnesota had made it to the Big 10 final, only one of them was getting in.

Ive got the game and if there is a league Ill play. Just need to hear how many games per season etc.

Interesting draw for Wisconsin. Hopefully they can play well the first 2 games and give Kentucky problems.

I dont think the Big 10 gets 6 tournament teams. I think that either Minnesota or Illinois are in, but not both.

I more meant it was the law of averages. Wisconsin missed a lot of good looks, eventually some had to fall regardless of how they were shot. Unfortunately for Wisconsin it only happened in the last 2 minutes.

So I got the Show and FF13, I only had time to watch the intro of FF13, but the graphics were amazing. The game play is back to pre FF12 (active time battle), but it seems to be some what of a hybrid in that you dont necessarily control all members of the party, but instead assign them roles (ie medic). Ive only really read the instruction book, but judging from the into/storyline its going to be great and im hoping that there will be 100+ hours of game time. It appears that weapons are more customizable and suggested up to 100 different variants. I just need to finish FF8 (dled it over the holidays) and then I can start really working on this one.

Okay so I bought the game. If you guys start a league id definitely be in, otherwise im not sure if ill keep it.

Wisconsin was picked by most media as 7th and 8th in some publications. I cant seem to find the Big 10 preseason guide, but from what ive read on Wisconsin sites (complaining about it) Wisconsin was picked 9th. But still to take a team that was considered bottom half by "experts" this far should be commended.

Id vote for Bo Ryan for Big 10 coach of the year. Wisconsin preseason was picked as finishing 9th or worse.

Well 12 tried to be like a MMORPG (or whatever its called) the game felt more like Everquest, than a final fantasy game. Im not sure what the style of play is going to be. I am about to finish FFVIII, so I figured Id just grab the new one. Ive never played X-2, but most of the other ones Ive beaten.

Well it seems Im the only dork who is looking forward to the first Final Fantasy release made for this generation of consoles.

Wisconsin beat Purdue pretty easily with Hummel and had a chance to win at Purdue with out Leur. I personally feel that the 2 best Big Team teams (when at full strength) are OSU and Wisconsin, and right now both of them are at full strength.

Wisconsin-OSU is the game Id like to see because it will be the first time both teams are at full strength. (OSU didnt have Turner when Wisconsin beat them, Wisconsin didnt have Leur when OSU beat them.) First they have to beat Illinois again. If I had to take bets on the tournament Id say: MSU- 33% OSU- 25% Wisconsin- 25% Rest of the field- 17% I think OSU and Wisconsin are the 2 best teams, but MSU has potentially the much easier path having to play a Hummel-less Purdue in the semi's. The dark horse team may be Minnesota, because if they could beat MSU they'd get the same path.

Okay thats understandable, obviously I dont look at the time stamps on every post. So when I first read it, the game was already in the second half.

I said this game is a joke because the refs have completely sucked. If you cant see that, then I dont know what else to say. And its not commenting about a foul or 2, thats fine, there are going to be questionable calls. But you said that this game hasnt been called in favor of Illinois, and thats just not true. Not that i dont expect that theyll get calls, but dont act like some how Wisconsin has been given a break here.

How? In college there is no continuation. If he was followed, then he still takes another step, meaning the foul was clearly on the floor. This game has been hand gifted for Illinois, if they cant win they dont deserve to be in the tournament. You arent going to get these calls in the NCAA tournament.

The refs are trying to give this game to the Illini and they aren't even close. Hughes and Leur both with 4 fouls. The fouls are 14-8 to in favor of Illinois and I believe that 1 foul has been called on them in the 2nd half. Its not the refs, they are the only reason Illinois isnt down by 20.

haha Im the exact opposite of most people in this thread. I have to wear suits and stuff to work (some days) and so I have nice clothes, but if I had a choice Id wear jeans, t-shirts, etc all the time. And I think that some of you are proving my point

When I hear head shop, I think drug paraphernalia, but it sounds like some sort of second hand store.
