Olympics: Vancouver 2010 OFFICIAL THREAD
Soxbadger replied to Steve9347's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Im a fan of the Winter Olympics. I like summer better, but winter has the more exotic events. -
And that brings us to what I believe the the grand story arc will be. You cant fight fate, things may change, people may make different decisions, but in the end nothing is random.

Maybe not in this universe. Desmond was training to go on the race around the world on the boat to get Penny. Desmond goes on that boat and ends up at the island pushing the button. If the bomb destroyed the island before Charles Widmore was exiled by Ben, then there is no reason for Desmond to go on the race, which would mean that he never meets Jack at the stadium. We know that Desmond is not on the island when flight 815 is in the air in this universe, it is possible that much more has changed.
-
Original flight 815 was September 22, 2004 Meaning that alternate flight 815 occurred 1 month later.
-
Imo it means that their is some sort of collective conscious between the alternate 815 and those on the island. When Jack opens his eyes, the first thing he does is touch the scratch on his neck, which to me was a clear indication that while this Jack did not know about the events of the island, his body and mind had been there. I think it was further developed when Claire screamed to protect Aaron, because her unconscious mind took over and reacted. I believe its also why Kate went back to help Claire, and why Kate was holding onto Claire's hand. On the island, Kate is trying to reconnect Claire and Aaron, on alternate 815 she also took the role of helping Aaron and Claire. I also think that the husband being dead was a slight change from original 815. Basically the cosmos is trying to keep Claire with Aaron.
-
I thought last nights episode was good. It built on the story line of alternate 815. Ethan delivering Claire's baby, Claire naming the baby, and comparing it to how it happened in the original flight 815 should give anyone enough to think about for the next week. Not to mention the whole twist of how Claire may now keep her baby in alternate 815. The island story has been progressing as well. Maybe not many earth shattering revelations, but the ending with Claire plus watching Sawyer begin to fall apart, was good enough or me..

I know Im late to the thread but I just wanted to say that most people have been where youre at. I wish that there was some advice that I can give you to make it better, but there really isnt. It takes time and that amount of time is different for everyone. I tried to stay friends, it didnt really work. We once and a while send an email, maybe speak with her once a year, but thats it. This was a girl that I went out with for 4.5 years and lived with for 3. It just doesnt always work out the way that we plan.

Weber has been one of the more successful coaches at the Kohl Center. I think the game may be closer than people think, if Wisconsin does not shoot well they can be beat. Prior to beating MSU and Michigan last week, they had really bad home games against Penn State and Michigan, both they could have lost. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 08:45 PM) Clearly you didnt understand my point. They are different players, I never said he was better than Pippen, you took it to that level. Turner is the heart and soul of a team, its personality. Pippen was more of a recluse. On the court they have similar skills, but IMO they are different players. THATS the point, I wasnt saying anything about who is better since Turner is still in college and that would be foolish. You should have been more clear then. Stating one player is "second fiddle" and the other is the "star" and "leader", would suggest that one player is better than the other. What is strange is that you follow up the last comment with: "Turner is still in college" but then compare how Scottie Pippen acted as a pro to Evan Turner in college. Scottie was the star in college, and there is nothing that i have seen suggest he wasnt a leader in college. It just seems you are trying to suggest that Turner has something that Pippen doesnt, and I just dont believe that anyone on this board knows much about Pippen in college, so its really hard to talk about Pippen's college intangibles. As I said, we will see what happens when Turner gets into the pros. -

Pippen was arguably HOF and top 50 of all time. I just think its premature to suggest that Turner is a better leader or star than Pippen, considering Turner hasnt played a single NBA game. If Turner turns out to be as good as Pippen hed have an amazing career. Just seems odd to already be suggesting hes better. -

Not sure that Pippen was second fiddle in College. He averaged 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4.3 assists as a senior. If Evan Turner gets drafted by a team with Lebron James, hes going to be second fiddle. Its not a knock on Turner, but hes unlikely to be the best player of his generation, which Jordan was. -
Secretary of state business services Publications and forms The entities you can form in Illinois are: LLC, Corp, NFP, LLP What it costs for an attorney depends. My firm has a flat rate for LLC, CORP and NFP. LLC and CORP cost the same flat rate even though the filing fee for Corp is like $150 and the LLC is $500 ($100 for expedited services which means theyll do it over night) NFP costs about $25 (or maybe 50 im not looking at the site cause im lazy) to form with the state, but to actually be a 501c3 with the IRS you need to file form 1023, which has different costs depending on how much money the NFP brings in. NFP costs about 2x more than the other 2 as you have not to only form the entity, but also need IRS approval. Ive never formed a LLP, not many people use them because their only usefulness is that the limited partner remains undisclosed.

Im happy with how Wisconsin is doing. Obviously the injury to Leur is sad, but the team is playing well and has an outside chance at a tie for the Big 10 title. They split with Purdue, MSU and OSU, so they did their part. -

2 divisions of 7, most teams dont play if they arent in the same division. Do all Big 12 teams play each other in football? -

Because people believed that land was scarce, and because the supply of land was constant and demand was always increasing, that the price of land must always go up. Unfortunately many people did not realize that condominiums could artificially increase supply beyond the point of demand, creating an over saturated market. Its really a poor comparison about housing and college. You cant build unlimited colleges, and you cant create top colleges out of thin air.
