    Conditioner

I always condition, even if its a shampoo plus conditioner because im being lazy. My hair deserves to be treated with respect and admiration.
  2. When are people going to learn that in the age of digital media, taking photographs is stupid. Im not even famous and I basically dont let people take my photo, especially at parties etc. Just way to much trouble for the 2 seconds of fun.
  3. Balta, Very little money in cures, only treatment. What exact motivation is there for a drug company or Dr to completely heal a patient? Sure its good publicity, but how many times have you bought a drug from company X because they cured a different unrelated illness/disease.
  4. The problem with this excuse is it doesnt really hold water (imo). To win on a negligence/medical malpractice case you must prove that the Dr's actions fell below the "established standard of care." So ordering useless tests isnt really going to help, because if they were tests that arent part of the "established standard" not running them wouldnt make you negligent. Negligence is when the Dr knew that they were supposed to do X, and instead did Y or just did nothing, or maybe even did X, but much slower than they should have. From my experience the reason why Dr's run so many tests is due to how they get paid by insurance. They can claim ridiculous amounts for the tests which the insurance company generally pays and they make a lot of money on those unnecessary tests. There are a lot of ways that malpractice against Dr's can be fixed, the problem is the Dr lobby is really good because Dr's are portrayed as victims.
  5. In another thread I posted about Dr. malpractice being one of the greatest myths. In order for a Dr to even be sued for malpractice another Dr. must certify that there was negligence. That is why so many malpractice cases settle, because before the case can even be filed an expert needs to independently state that there was malpractice. If a Dr is negligent, why should the victim not be able to fully recover? If we cap medical malpractice torts, we should cap every tort because no victims should ever be able to fully recover. /shrugs I made a much better post on this topic before, so im not going to rehash it all, its some where in this forum.

    David Carradine

Yesterday was his episode of Mental. Strange coincidence.
  7. FUTURAMA What a great show, it makes losing king of the hill not as bad.
  8. No he was at a concert and must of inhaled some second hand meth.
  9. Im not sure where you could hold games and get 50k+. Maybe Seattle, I know they really support the Sounders, but other than that most large markets are going to have a substantial population that supports the other team. I personally would rather the US played in front of 50k fans than played in front of 10k, there were still seats for Saturday's game on Thursday night, so it wasnt that the Honduras fans bought tickets US fans wanted, it was that the US fans just didnt buy that many tickets. Although supposedly the US has bought the most tickets for the South Africa World Cup.
  10. I dont know whether or not Zelda II was like that. Link needed to save Princess Zelda who was asleep or something. It was one of the hardest games that I played on NES. Super Mario Brothers 2 was a dream sequence which is why there is no Bowser. Although you could play as 4 different characters which was cool.
  11. I dont believe that Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, had Ganon as a bad guy. While he was involved in the story line, Im pretty sure he was dead and the worry was hed be brought back to life. The last battle is not against Ganon and I cant recall him being a boss of any level. Although I guess you could say that Ganon was still the antagonist as it was his followers who were up to no good.
  12. Um those hr's werent the catchers fault. Pitches that are located in those spots are going to get hit hard, the second batter Castro tapped the ground which generally means that the catcher wants the ball down. Clayton's location missed high... I really doubt that he called for back to back meatballs.
  13. Why? Because Z is a headcase and maybe broke the last straw with the Cubs. As for the Sox, Id trade some AAAA players but no one valuable. I think that Z would actually control himself a lot better playing for Ozzie, but I wouldnt take the risk based on his contract and his recent explosions. It just seems that Cubs players seem to melt down more than average.
  14. Board of Directors, Corporate Officers, etc. have fiduciary duties, http://definitions.uslegal.com/b/breach-of-fiduciary-duty While im not sure the duty is expressly to make "profits" the duty would be to run the business in the best interests of the shareholders. So in some limited circumstances you could run a deficit and not be in breach of your fiduciary duty. But generally the directors have a duty to run the company as best as possible for the shareholders, which would be to make the most money, to benefit the shareholders.
  15. I completely disagree with all of this. The reason why its protected by the First Amendment is so that the press would not be intimidated by the govt and therefore could say things against the govt. It had nothing to do with "an informed populace" as the text of the amendment states nothing about the populace or the media having a duty to inform: So the point of the Amendment was to prevent the govt from stifling criticism (warranted or not), not about "informing the populace." The second part I have no clue about whether or not they are given the airwaves at a reduced rate. Even if they are I do not consider private entities as being required to "perform a public service" in fact I think that its best the govt stays completely away from the media. If the govt has oversight or is giving breaks, that makes the media less free to do what they want. I dont know that much about this "special permission" either, or what that even relates to. Im not a media expert so if you have further information I would be very interested in it.
  16. I just dont get why people even care what the Media does. The media is there to make money, not to report the news. As capitalists it should be understood that what they report is based on their desire to make money, not on their desire to give information to the public. As such any news report should always be looked at with extreme skepticism as its main purpose is to generate money, not to inform people. So why is Obama getting headlines for nonsense? Because that is what is selling right now.
  17. I dont really think that is true at all. If you are the 20 year old future of the company and you are making them massive money, they arent going to fire you for your application. In fact if this was a real job Rose would have been recruited by multiple employers (every NBA team) and would have been able to have them bid against each other for his services, instead of being forced to sign a league mandated contract. {Edit} And what does it matter what the European school system is like, how is it fair that if Rose was in Spain he could enter the NBA draft at 18, but if Rose is in the USA he has to wait?
  18. As I said before if you want to end it, kill Cal's career and kill the Memphis program. If the risk of cheating is that great, no one will cheat. The problem is the NCAA wants the rules bent so they can get these players. I wouldnt be surprised if the NCAA helped.
  19. I guess some people dont believe the NBA should have the right to arbitrarily deny access due to age. Other people believe the NBA should. Its a difference of opinion.
  20. Well heres something I never knew, from yahoo: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/ne...o&type=lgns I doubt many normal employers could get away with discrimination based on both age and nationality.
  21. If you are pro-life it is understandable to be against the death penalty. I understand the argument of "Criminal" the problem is that the determination of "criminal" is made by humans who are imperfect. Therefore there is a risk that "innocent" life is killed. On the other hand if you are pro-choice, I dont see why you would be pro-death penalty. Many people who are pro-choice do not believe that the fetus is alive, therefore its not murder because you cant kill something that isnt alive. Conversely no one really argues that inmates arent alive. Thus I am pro-choice because I think that actual life outweighs potential life, and I am usually against the death penalty because I dont believe that humans are perfect and therefore dont want to take the risk of killing an innocent person.
  22. You are right no one is making them go to college, which is why the NCAA and Memphis are willing to break the rules to ensure players of Rose's caliber does go to NCAA and not overseas or JUCO. You really think that Derrick Rose on his own could cheat the SAT admissions without inside help? It would be hard for a no name High School student to pull that fraud off, but for a big time High School prospect who is well recognized, it requires inside help. Everyone made money off of Rose, which is why no one is really mad at him.
  23. What is odd about that report is I cant see the Astros trading Oswalt to a NL Central team.
  24. So the publicity is worth 0? The gate to the sporting events are worth 0? The donations from boosters are worth0? The donations from alumni are worth 0? The school and NCAA makes millions off of these players, which is why they dont care about "rules".
