Well MLS has put millions into stars who are past their prime, they could easily use that money to build academies and sign young players. This isnt going to happen over night, the US is going to have to completely change its sports model. US sports try to create an even playing field for all teams, they have drafts where the worst get first pick, they try to implement salary caps, etc. International soccer on the other hand is about the haves and the have nots. All the MLS really needs is 2-3 elite teams and the rest will work itself out. The problem is that MLS is trying to keep it fair in the US, and I believe there are rules about how many million $ contracts can be given out etc. MLS is trying to stop the formation of another "New York Cosmos" who can just outspend other teams.

I think Turner would go some where in the late teens or early twenties. I know that Id love to see Turner playing with Rose the next few years. -
By getting Latin American countries involved in the league you could potentially create a posting style system where Messi could leave, but the European clubs would have to pay a ridiculous transfer fee. Over night the league couldnt compete, but if over a 10 year period the league started to get chances at the best South American players, eventually the competition level would rise. (Edit) Or they could fund the established academys in South America and then try and get them to sign before they even go to clubs like Boca Juniors, etc. The key is the US money with the South American talent.

Not 100% sure but this seems to suggest you cant do it: http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departme...ation/home.html * Owned by a non-resident of this state and not required by law to be registered in this state; Since youre a resident of Illinois it appears you have to have it titled in Illinois. Im not 100% sure though and this was only about 15 minutes of searching. Also just because its illegal doesnt mean youll get caught. Plenty of people title vehicles to their vacation homes, plenty of people pay for suburban car registration instead of city stickers. Some people get away with it, some people dont.

Big 12 has looked good so far. Well see how many they have left after this weekend. (My bracket has them down to OU in the Elite 8 and 0 in the Final 4.) But regardless the Big 12 showed that it was not as bad as some people may have believed. -
I disagree. The best way for US soccer to grow is to start making deals with South America for talent. If the US could start getting the top 18-19 year olds from Argentina, Brasil, Columbia etc to go to the US instead of Premier/La Liga/ Serie A etc, the league would improve drastically. Eventually the top Euro teams would start having to buy the best players from the US, and then the US can begin to further develop South America. The advantage the US has is it that it can conceivably be part of a league with South America, whereby the South American countries could keep their talent and not have to sell it to Europe. Even a "Premier League" with 8-10 US cities and 6 or so South American cities could really damage the European brand. Imagine the North American league having: LA, NY, Chicago, Mexico City (etc) The South American league having: Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Rio De Janiero.

I still cant believe Wisconsin won. Not that I thought they would lose before the game started, but when they were down 12 it looked pretty bleak. Edit: And games like OSU/Sienna and Wisconsin/FSU are why the Big 10 gets the benefit of the doubt when it comes to being in the NCAA tournament. Big 10 games are usually competitive so it makes for good tv.

Their resume was largely based on beating in conference teams. And what does the world have to do with my opinion? Also they really spaced these games out poorly. -

Well ive seen people say that KU was arguably a 1 seed. It has one 2 seed and two 3 seeds, which means that 25% of the top 12 teams are from the Big 12. As a comparison, ACC has one 1 seed and one 2 seed. Big East has three 1 seeds and two 3 seeds. So in terms of what conferences have the most top ranked teams: Big east 5, Big 12 3, ACC 2. So to me that suggests the Big 12 was the second best conference and that in order to prove those rankings legitimate they need to get 3 in the top 16 and at minimum 1 in the top 8. -

How is that bashing them? They were higher seeds in almost every game, those are games you should win. Yes Texas/Minnesota was losable, but Minnesota barely made the tournament. I stand by my statement, if the Big 12 is as good as it claims, they should have 3 teams in the Sweet 16 and 2 in the Elite 8. If they can accomplish that, theyll get all the credit they deserve. -

What does the Big 10 have to do with the Big 12 being favorites in most of their games? -
21 for 24 is tied for the lead right now. Lost on Tenn, Illinois and Minnesota.

lol They had 4 seeds above 7, which means those 4 should have won their game. The only "upset" was an 8/9 game. If Missouri, KU or OU had lost it would have been the biggest upset so far in this tournament. Not to mention of the other 4 games only 2 were against power conferences (Minnesota and Tenn) and the Tenn game came down to the final seconds. For the most part the top 3 big 12 teams have pretty easy draws for the first 2 rounds, so we will see what happens in the sweet 16. The Big 12 has to get 3 teams in the sweet 16 or else its a failure compared to their seeding. It would be different if the Big 12 was seeded like the Big 10, only having 1 seed above a 5. -
In regards to Locke, he was dead so im not sure that the rules apply. Also perhaps its you only went back in time if your proxy was in the past, Christian was in the present, so Locke stayed there as well. As to the time theory, I at first thought that they were making a rule that you could not exist in the same time/space as past you. When Charlotte flashed and died I figured that was why (that she flashed to a time/place where she existed), but it just doesnt seem to be consistent as some did not even experience negative side effects when being in the same time as themselves.
-
Weber shouldnt be calling these time outs. WKU is out of them, each time he calls TO the other team gets reminded to not call TO if they get stuck in the trap. If he just let them press right off the bat WKU might pull a Chris Weber.
-
I hate how the announcers almost never question a call. There response was that Brock should have used a jump shot. He was running full sprint and the defender slid under him. If Illinois is going to get back into this game, they are going to need to start taking better shots and give the ball to Davis more. Im pretty sure the guy who took the last shot of the first half for Illinois is not a 3 point shooter so no real reason to take that shot. I think that Davis can cause some real problems for WKU. Also I expect law of averages for some of WKU's shots. Its going to be tight, Illinois really needs to hit them hard to start.
-
Refs arent doing Illinois any favors, the guy clearly moves under Brock on that lay up. Should have been and 1.
-
Illini needs to play with more heart. Brock hustled to block that shot and not one other Illinois player even tried to get there. I think Illinois can turn it around, they just need to want it.
-
Do you mean that they cant be on the island at the same time as themselves? The problem with this would be that during one of the time flashes, Locke flashed to when the hatch opened, meaning that Locke flashed to a time where he already existed on the island. Sawyer also flashed and saw Kate I believe. I think the reason why some of them did not travel in time is that they were not a "proxy" for some one, and only proxies could flash.

Mr Angelo, please trade for Jay Cutler!

Plenty of teams are willing to spend money to get the players that they want. The first pick guarantees that you get the player that you want, some teams are willing to pay for that luxury. -

If your the Broncos and can get the first pick, you do it. You then can trade the first pick to other teams. -

The team trading for Cutler should be selling McDaniels and crew about how much better it will be to develop their own QB, instead of having their fate tied to some one who doesnt necessarily want to be there. -
I watched it, wasnt that bad. The bra was supposed to be the "assistants". They framed her so that people wont catch on that the Kings only heir likes boys.
