  1. My guess is that the contract is assignable, but that Sprint would be on the hook for all signage.
  2. Tournament streak intact, 11 years in a row. No real expectations, just hope for a miracle.
  3. Wisconsin's 1999 team wouldnt deserve to be on the court with any Bo Ryan team, yet the 1999 team went to the Final Four and Bo Ryan has never been there. Its not always about talent, some times its about match ups and breaks.
  4. They had plenty of chances this season to make sure that they were a lock for the NCAA tournament, I think that they will still be in, you just hate to leave it to chance. If they do get in, this loss may be a good thing as it will likely move them down from a 8/9 seed to a 10/11 which would mean they wont have the 1 seed to face.
  5. Wisconsin can just not put teams away this year. I dont know how many times theyve had leads in the final minutes only to not score any points. 10-1 run by OSU as of now, just unacceptable.
  6. Rock, Im at work What is it OSU v Wisconsin when Conley and Oden were there?
  7. Well only 4 times Wisconsin or Illinois havent been in the Big 10 finals, so unless Wisconsin does something amazing Illinois needs to step up.
  8. How can you say KU deserves a #1? Didnt MSU beat KU by 13 points? So unless MSU some how gets a 1 seed, I cant imagine KU getting one. http://www.collegerpi.com/cy/rpi.html MSU- 25-5, beat KU has a stronger SOS and RPI. KU- 25-6, lost to MSU.
  9. In today's WBC game they said that he was just looking for anywhere to play, and that he didnt need to be a starter. Or at least thats what they claimed he told them.
  10. So far today Ivan is, 3-3, Single, Double, HR and he has a stolen base.
  11. WBC just referred to a player as: "He reminds me of former White Sox great Willie Harris" Finally the rest of the world has recognized Willie's status.
  12. The reason why Japanese players get more money than Cuban's is due to the posting system. The Japanese leagues force MLB to pay huge amounts to get the rights to their super stars. The only way Cuban's get to the US is by illegally defecting. When they come to US teams they are forced to take whatever they can get. There is no going back to Cuba to play (like Japanese players can do) they are stuck. So the US teams have much more power in negotiations and therefore use it to their advantage. The bottom line is teams are in the business of making money. If they can make more money by giving out smaller contracts, they do it. As to the rest, there is no reason for the Sox to hold back Viciedo. If he is good enough to play, he will be on the MLB team. If anything the Sox are being generous with him by not forcing him to do anything on the big league club. He will still get paid the same amount, he is not like a draft pick who gets a minor league salary versus an MLB one. He will make millions to get better and practice. One day he may make it in the MLB, but even if he never plays an inning he still will have millions. Also if he is amazing and the Sox keep him in the minors, they are losing years on their contract as he will still hit FA at the same time. Thus there is absolutely no reason that the Sox would hold back Viciedo, unless they thought it was in his best interest.
  13. If Ivan just wants to play (like the WBC announcers are saying) Id have no problem bringing him in cheap.
  14. I dont believe anything that they say in regards to how they select. If they only looked at resumes, then Wisconsin would have been seeded higher many of the previous seasons. But nonetheless, Id rather finish in 4th place and be 19-11 then finish in 7th place at 19-11. The other rankings are fine for Wisconsin, I think they have SOS at 5 and rpi around 30.
  15. Supposedly signed with Bills, 1 year 6.5mil.
  16. Michigan and Iowa may have just saved Wisconsin's NCAA chances. For some reason I had this sinking feeling that after the Gopher choke job that Wisconsin would be the last team left out. But if Wisconsin can beat Indiana tomorrow, the worst they can do is 4th place because I believe they have the tie breaker over OSU. IMO no way 4th place wont make it to the tourney.
  17. Does anyone think that Ozzie may try and get Pierre really cheap? If LA picks up the entire salary and it only costs something like Jerry Owens, would people be interested?

    LOST!!!!

The reason I am not really on the Anubis train is that the statute didnt not have prominent ears.

    LOST!!!!

I dont think Locke is in 1970s, it appeared that he was with the passengers who didnt flash. If the flash represents time travel, Locke is still in present time with Ben.

Its possible that the statute is Taweret. Taweret was goddess of fertility/mothers and was often depicted holding ankhs. http://www.ancientegyptonline.co.uk/taweret.html It could also be Wepwawet: http://www.ancientegyptonline.co.uk/wepwawet.html Its clear that the statute is holding Ankhs, so its mainly just figuring out which of the gods it is.

    LOST!!!!

Ankh symbol is also believed to be the precursor to the Christian cross symbol. And if Horace is Horus, then Ben or Richard have to be Set(h).
  22. Will Minnesota rush the court if they win? A month ago there was no way to possibly believe that Wisconsin could win. But things change, and I think that Wisconsin will find a way to eek this one out and make up for the horrible choke job at Madison. A win tonight and the Badgers start to guarantee a NCAA berth.
  23. Beckham played 14 games in Single A last year. He will start the season in AA, and unless he is killing the ball he will stay there the full season. Spring Training 2010 is probably going to be the earliest Beckham is competing for a starting job. (Barring injury etc.)
  24. Some cats really hate smoke, so not all of them enjoy getting high.
