Obama is the rat. He just doesnt want to come out and say that hes a rat because well there is a pretty big social stigma associated with ratting out other politicians. My personal opinion is that Obama gave Fitzgerald the go ahead because with out Obama's blessing this investigation goes no where.

Obama wouldnt be human if he didnt try and stretch the truth at some point. Obama's biggest problem in this mess is that Obama does not understand scandals and therefore he didnt realize it would have been better to just say that he had heard "rumors" about Blago's intentions but that since he had never spoken to the Governor himself he was not sure whether they were factual. He should have also stated that the Blago investigation is ongoing and therefore it may not be appropriate for him to speak on certain sensitive matters at this time. In short Obama pulled the dumb move of trying to cover up something little and then the cover up is what gets them in trouble.

If you read it carefully the Supreme Court only has "original and exclusive jurisdiction to review such a law" Now that refers to: The problem is that there seems to be a complete lack of law in that area. There is no guideline for whom and by what procedure the Governor is to be questioned. Madigan brought a suit by the Attorney General, but no where does it say that the Attorney General bringing suit to the IL SC is the proper procedure for questioning the ability of the governor to serve. Also I think that its going to be hard because in the United States people are innocent until proven guilty. Unless Blago confesses there is no way he will be convicted in time for this trial, so all Madigan has is mere allegations. I think its a political stunt, but thats just me.

The final play should have been "You have 3 seconds to throw, if you dont see anything in three seconds you throw it out of the back of the end zone near a player." Orton almost lost the game because if the Saints were smart they hold him up for a few seconds and the game is over. Under no circumstances should he ever attempted to advance the ball by ground.

Im reading the pleadings and Im not sure that legally they have a leg to stand on. Madigan is arguing that under Article 5 of the Illinois Constitution the Supreme Court has jurisdiction. No where in Article 5 does it say this: In fact if I was the Governor I would move for summary judgment as it explicitly states the only way the governor may be removed: As you can see it explicitly states the way for the governor to be considered "unable to serve". This pleading is nothing more than a political move, I cant imagine the Supreme Court buying into her "disabled" argument.

I cant believe that people are complaining about the Sox payroll. They were over 100mil last season and did not sell out every single game. Reinsdorf has opened his wallet the last few seasons (if you look before 2005 our payrolls were drastically lower) and its not exactly gotten the White Sox much farther. Its not about spending money, its about getting good players.

Id take Gwynn as a throw in, but not even close to a main piece.

The problem is Weis never really played football. Thus in the NFL when he was working with professionals who were already trained and polished at lower levels he can succeed. At ND some of these players are extremely talented, they are just very raw. Weis doesnt really have the "technical" background to train these players. Thats why I dont think Weis is a great fit for a college level program, because you are still teaching players how to play football.

On carry out? Interesting. Ive never worked at a restaurant or in any job that tips were even allowed so I really dont know how well it works.

I usually tip 20% on things that are customary for tipping. Exceptions are bar tenders (I usually just give $1 for a drink or two, more than that I start giving more), cab drivers ($1 tip for rides I normally take, if the cab some how got me there faster/cheaper then what normally happens I just have them keep the rest so it may go up to almost $2), towel guys at bar ($0 I didnt ask for your help so dont expect me to pay). Carry out I dont tip on, I dont tip unless there is a person providing service and you are tipping that specific person. If a single person prepared the entire carry out order and the tip was just for them, I would maybe tip. But usually it just seems like youre tipping the restaurant which is the exact opposite purpose of the tip. People who deserve tips the most are the ones who get screwed on their normal pay because they are in a job that customarily gets tips.

Well except the year that Jordan wasnt there and the team went all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals. If at the end of his career Rose is considered a top 50/HOF player, then you can start writing off Pippen. As of now hard to really make that argument.

If you watched the whole game then you know for much of it Wisconsin was within 5 (they had it at 1 and missed a 3 pointer). Wisconsin just did not have anyone who could successfully dribble up the court besides Hughes. When Hughes hurt his ankle in the first half Wisconsin was up a few points, but Hughes went to the bench and they needed to bring in a true Freshman in Jordan Taylor to handle the point. With the Uconn press it was just a recipe for disaster. I dont really think any game this early in the season is a "gimme" because teams are to inconsistent in terms of level of play.

Uconn v. Wisconsin tonight, I doubt that the Badgers can beat them at this point in the season, I just hope that they can go out there and represent the Big 10 well. If they can play good defense, not get in foul trouble and Bohannon can find his 3 point shot, I think that Wisconsin can keep it close and have a chance. But thats a lot of ifs, compared to Uconn just needing to play normally.

Wisconsin coaching is a real issue right now.

First game of the season you just want to survive. Im not a Duke fan by any means (I dislike them) but Id still be weary of judging any team off of 1 game.
