Are you willing to take the bar in other states? As an attorney thats the first question I ask myself. In terms of experience 2 years + is where you want to be. Im not really sure what youre interested in, but most industries are fine with hiring ex-attorneys. Ive lately been questioning if I want to continue down the path Im on.

Im recommending this show to most of my friends.

Thats not true, in season 1 it was made apparent the attempt on Nathan's life was by Linderman. It was also apparent that Linderman and Nathan knew each other, and that Nathan's mother and Linderman knew each other. I mean the whole Casino plot line revolved around the Linderman/Petrelli relationship. As to the first part, that one may have been written in to give Elle a longer story line. The Haitian and HRG had been working together from the start.

No it isnt. Giving people money for college is a handout and the govt wants to make them earn it instead of just giving free money away. I myself never got a dime from the govt nor did I receive any federal aid or loans through undergraduate school. Why should people get money for free and not have to do anything, when others have to pay and get nothing? Is the problem that the govt is actually trying to make people earn hand outs? Because that seems exactly opposite of the arguments for why Obama was bad (ie he was going to spread the wealth).

They wont, I read one of his daughters has allergies so it precludes them from adopting any animal that is not some what hypoallergenic. So its unlikely theyll just adopt a pet that may cause their daughter health problems. Certain breeds have less impact on allergies so theyd most likely pick one of those.

Kap, Some of it might be hyperbole, but I think that she may have had a stunning lack of world knowledge for a potential VP candidate. I think right now there is a certain group of Republican's who are out to take down Palin, the ones who come from big cities, with big money and big corporate connections. Obviously all theory, but I just have this feeling so much negative Palin stuff is about to hit.
-
I just wonder why you are so sure that this is the media "perpetuating" something. I know that people blame the liberal media constantly, but theres also the possibility that the media was easy on Palin and we are going to find out she really had absolutely no clue. I mean some of her answers to questions are just mind numbing.

I didnt cry or tear up but i have for stupider things. Not exactly going to start casting stones.

I hate stuff like this. The reason people vote against is because they ask the question "Whats in it for me" and the answer comes out "nothing". I think they need a new slogan that will make people realize that they do have something to gain by letting gay people vote: Let them feel the pain of divorce too!

You would be surprised how many people at the rally were saying that if McCain of 2000 had run they may not have been there... I hope Republican's think long and hard about those sentiments because the McCain of 2008 was a Republican creation.

Im not chomping at the bit to get rid of Vazquez. If we get a good trade with pieces we need, sure. Otherwise Id just keep him and try and sell him if he starts to pitch well next season and people come bidding. Never can have to much pitching.

Yeah reporters were just saying it was close in terms of overall population to try and keep interest. It should have been obvious if Obama was leading with out Cali that the numbers were going to go change drastically. Got back from the rally good time, got interviewed by 2 tv stations so maybe will be on Russian Tv, haha.

It doesnt matter anymore. The problem is that McCain was born before some of those laws were created, thus ex post facto. 8 USC 1401 was not passed until 1952. John McCain was born 1936. -

Haha yeah posted that before you did hehe. And I dont think most Democrats would be comfortable winning through those means either. McCain should not be punished because his father was serving in the US armed services. -

Actually Athomeboy its not so clear cut: http://www.usconstitution.net/consttop_citi.html -
Youll have to excuse my ignorance, I dont normally put labels on my beliefs so Im not sure if Id ever be a RINO, Republican, or Democrat. Im just a person who believes what they believe and I try my best to reconcile those beliefs with the choices that I am presented. In this election I felt that Obama and McCain were very similar on many issues and most of the places where they differ were irrelevant to my beliefs. Thus I was down to my normal decision of liberal social policies versus fiscal conservative policies (although im not sure whether or not Republican's truly advocate fiscal conservatism anymore as I dont consider deficit spending or supply side economics necessary for fiscal conservatism, I am more concerned about free trade and govt not interfering in market prices.) So I dont necessarily think I abandoned anything. I have been consistent in my beliefs and our system just does not have a representative for them there is no legalize it tax it party, there is no stop govt from interfering in supply/demand party, there is no party that represents me. Thus I am left making the best of what I am given. Before Palin, McCain could have gotten me. After Palin there was no way, because when he chose Palin, he was in essence legitimizing her views. Social conservatism imo is so anti-American in philosophy that I just have to act against it. But I have no party, so I am not abandoning either of them. I am merely just setting my own course. If Republican's wanted moderates they would have given us something to hang our hat on, they would have reached out. Instead they chose Palin, some one to insult all moderates who live in cities, some one who will attack my patriotism just because I didnt grow up on a farm and wasnt indoctrinated with faith. Thats not the America I want to live in, I want an America where govt doesnt get involved both in business and in my life. The United States should not have the right to legislate morality, it should not be able to dictate what adults can or cant do. I am a utilitarian, I believe in utility. And so long as my actions do not interfere with your utility, I should be able to do them. Just like you should be able to do what you wish, so long as it does not affect my utility.
-
Alpha, Do you seriously believe that moderates problem with Palin is that she is a woman? Or perhaps is it her social conservative values, its her anti-urban sentiment, her "real america" ideals. The only thing Palin has going for her is that she is a woman and therefore when people dont like her its cause shes a "woman." You can believe what ever you want, but I could have voted for McCain, but I never would vote for Palin. Once he picked Palin I completely changed my view on this election and started actively working to promote Obama. Before I could have cared less.

Showing that they are there to watch and make sure that people who want to vote can vote. There are a million arguments you can make. -
This whole argument should end with the following: IF Obama had picked Ayers as his running mate would people be allowed to decide not to vote for Obama due to his VP selection? The answer to the question is obviously yes, the choice of VP matters for many different reasons. Palin is supposed to be 2nd in charge, and while not as important as 1st in charge it often times can be what tips the scales. If Obama and McCain are even in your mind, then the next important thing would probably be who is VP and what type of ideals do they support and why would the President choose them.

I liked the Back to the Future meets Indiana Jones episode. I usually am not that keen on Family Guy (on that night alone I consider it 4th best cartoon behind Simpsons, King of Hill, American Dad) but the last few episodes havent been that bad. Or have you not heard?
