Rules are the rules, there is no fair way. The Sox could argue if it wasnt for poor umpiring in numerous games the Sox would have won 2 more this season and not have had to play the final game at all. They have no one to blame except for themselves... I mean should the Angels be complaining because they went 8-1 against the Red Sox in the regular season and now there playoff advantage is nullified by 1 bad game? Its like Cubs fans who are b****ing that 5 game series should be a 7 game series (want to bet if they swept in 3 thered be no complaints). Get over it, if the Twins deserved to be in the playoffs they would have scored a run against the Sox.

Javy just needs to be smart and he can handle that line up. He needs to get ahead in the count and make sure that he mixes up pitches. This is a young team so you cant make mistakes with a fastball.

Well MLB thinks that playoffs are how the best team is determined. I cant remember a season where the team with the best record was just given the championship. The best teams win the games that count, they dont b**** about 5 games or 7 games or a million games.

That really is the thing, its that Cubs fans were so arrogant it made me sick. I was at a Blackhawks game the other day and this guy was sitting with his wife and his friend. His friend goes: "We are going to the Cubs games right." And hes like "Yeah" His wife goes "Hey what about me" And he goes "Youll get to go to the better seres." At work when I say that I dont think the Cubs will sweep its just cause Im a Sox fan that cant be thinking straight because I hate the Cubs (which I dont, I feel bad for some of their fans that are cool and I like. The rest it makes me laugh when they choke.) Playoffs are tough, LA made significant improvements down the stretch.

I admittedly dont watch a lot of Cubs games so you could be right.

Yeah I dont know it seems like a statistical anomaly because I dont like Dempsters stuff compared to Harden or Z. Thats just personally me, but I always have felt Dempster can be gotten to so I didnt think he would do well today.

This isnt about jinxes this is about match ups. Lowe > Dempster Z > Billingsley Harden > Kuroda Lilly = Maddux Right now things are just playing to how they should be, so when Z shuts down LA tomorrow its not going to be a shocker. Its just going to be why would you ever really want Dempster as your starter in game 1?

The biggest problem right now is that Cubs fans expected so much out of this team for some reason. If they were realistic about the talent level theyd have realized that this team is no sure bet to get through this series and that they should be enjoying the moment. Way to high of expectations for a team that isnt really all that amazing.

I wish theyd start Swish at least give him a chance.

Manny is ridiculous some times. And this was just a bad match up for the Cubs, they should have pretty good chances in the next 2 games. This just puts a lot more pressure on them.

Lowe has looked good, beside for that one hit by Derosa the Cubs have had s*** going the whole time. He knows that the offense just picked him up.

This is obviously worst case scenario time for the Cubs, have to pull their pitcher early and they are down in game 1 putting all the pressure on them. Manny has looked like crap too so you gotta figure hell come through at some point this series.

This is all on Pinella, if you look at the start of this inning I say that Dempster has to be on a short leash. Pinella didnt even have anyone warming up, its just stupid. And yah I apologize to Loney, but maybe I reverse jinxed him hahaa

Cubs fans are just really nervous, hard to live with expectations especially when your team hasnt made the World Series in 50 years and it seems to be World Series or bust.
