Griffey has been responsible for what 4 of 5 runs this series? Are people even watching the same team?
-
So? There have been seasons where Ive had to root for other teams to lose just so that the Sox had the off chance of actually making up some crazy amount of ground. This year all the Sox have to do is win, and if they cant win 1 of 3 games against the division opponent than perhaps they do not deserve to be in the playoffs. But I think that the Sox just need to forget about this game, nothing is going to win the game, its over you cant focus on it. Its time to think about the future and the fact that all they have to do is win tomorrow with Floyd on the mound. Then after that you just need to win 2 of 3 and it doesnt matter what the Twins do. You think it will be easy for the Twins to try and be perfect? Right now they are up for the big series, but once they get to KC and the pressure is entirely on them we will see how well they play. There is a lot of baseball to be played, and if the Sox win tomorrow they are still in the drivers seat.
-
Theres no vest needed. Sox still control their own destiny, Ive held out hope for crazier things than that before.
-
Why is everyone putting line ups with Griffey on the bench? He actually has been hitting the ball well this series. If you want BA in the line up fine, but Dye should be on the bench.
-
Go to the game, cheer for the Sox. Thats what fans do, you stick it out until the end.
-
Why would you want Griffey on the bench? It seems like he really is starting to see the ball and actually was productive. I think he may be responsible for every run the Sox have scored this series.

Its not just the organization, the people in this thread think that the Twins are unbeatable. They already have basically given the twins 4 more wins. Screw that, todays game is over the past games dont matter. Tomorrow is a brand new season, the Sox have a .5 game lead and need to win tomorrow. If I had to chose Slowey or Floyd, I prefer Floyd. So Floyd its time to step up and stop the bleeding. -

Floyd needs to dominate tomorrow. A win tomorrow and the Sox still control their own destiny, all theyd have to do is win 2 games in Cleveland and they are in the playoffs. A game the Sox could have won if they execute, just need to forget about the past and move on. -

Good fake maybe get the pitcher thinking about the runner instead of the batter, maybe Nathan tries to get it home to quick and makes a mistake. -

SSI, I dont care if they have Kofax, Spahn, and Spain, with their offense they will not win 6 games in a row (the Sox 3 plus KC 3). I feel they are going to lose 2 to KC, Sox need to just worry about their own games. -

Regardless of what happens tonight, the Twins are not going to win the rest of their games. Tonight the Sox need to focus on 1 run, tomorrow they worry about the next game. You never know whats going to happen, so you gotta stay positive. Its the Twins home park, they are expected to win 2-3, this is just the Twins doing what a team is supposed to do. Linebrink needs to get Gomez and the Sox need to get 1 run. -

Screw that, hold them to no runs and get some runs of god damn Nathan. No one is afraid of him, 1 mistake and its a brand new ball game. -

Allright lets be patient f***ing young pitcher with barely any innings facing 3 big time power hitters. Hes not going to want to make a mistake, so lets f***ing use that to our advantage. -

Screw all this negativity, this game isnt over not even close to over. The Sox can score 1 run, they can score 2 runs, they have come back from down more than this. They just need to have the god damn heart to go out there and do what it takes to win. You cant leave men on third base with less than 2 outs, you have to move the runner over. The Sox hopefully will have 2 innings to score 1 run, I think they can do it, they just need to realize that you cant wait anymore. -

Im not exactly going to get on Griffey, he hit the ball hard and seems to be getting his stroke back. Hes not the problem. -

Ozzie you need to call hit and runs and do bulls*** that we wouldnt normally do. Its time for desperation, we cant just go station to station and try and out slug the twins in this park.
