Better where? Who will be the better pro, probably Gordon, although if Hummel got thicker could he project to a poor mans Nowitzki. As for college if Purdue wins the Big 10 this year and Gordon bolts, it will be hard to go against Hummel who could play another 3 years. I dont know projecting players are gut feelings, there is just no way you can say stats or anything else will determine who will be a great pro and who will bust out. Some times I look at Gordon and see a player that could be the next great thing, other times he just has this way about him that makes me doubt him. And thats why I premised this all on, if Hummel continues to play this way. He has been on fire, and more importantly he has played the best in Purdue's most important games. -

Rock, I think its to early to say "he wont win it". The last 2 games, Hummel has been the difference. At one point he was unstoppable at Wisconsin and he carried his team. Gordon has looked rattled as of late, tenative and in fact could start to wear down because he has played so many minutes. If Gordon slumps, IU loses to Purdue, maybe slips to Wisconsin or another team, all of a sudden Humml has a shot. Rex, Yeah I know that was what I was referring to. At first I thought itd be the other way around, White getting more looks because of Gordon. But White really has looked good this year, and quite frankly he is going to get selected in the top 15 in the draft. I know I said otherwise to start the season, but this is clearly a different player and he just has been great in the low post. The fact he goes up against bigger guys almost every game shows that in the NBA he can play the PF no problem and with many teams running he just looks like he will make the show. IMO the best player on Indiana has been White. (Not saying B10 player of the year because there is a lot more games to be played) -

Hummel may not have the stats, but he has the big time wins... If Purdue wins out (which is not out of the realm of possibilities) Hummel has to be a consideration. -

Im confused how can Hummel be the freshman of the year when ESPN already gave the award to Gordon? And the Big 10 is killing itself letting these teams play so physical in conference play. Ever year they get to the NCAA tournament and the refs call it much tighter. -
Ive been watching since day 1. Should be interesting to see where everything goes. I hope the count DVR numbers, I never watch anything live.

Blue Demons dont play in the Big 10, Im worried that Purdue is going to win the rest of the Big 10 games and then lose in the NCAA tourney because the refs arent going to let this type of play go. I have never seen a team so physical get away with so much contact. Their defenders just ride the ball handler to the point where you cant even call a foul because every possession would result in one. Ive seen Gray get slapped in the face (no call) and raked from behind (no call) Im sure the refs will call the game much closer and give MSU a chance, the problem may be that theyve already gotten down so far. -

Watching Purdue games is confusing... They play really physical and because of it the refs just cant call all the fouls against them. The other team plays barely as physical but keeps getting called for touch fouls. -
This is the first time in 5 years that I wont have to get anyone anything. But from season's past it would have been: Flowers (from some shop downtown whichever still had roses left at the last minute) Chocolate (godiva chocolate covered strawberries from the Godiva store on Lasalle) Dinner ( something lame that she wanted) And then a bunch of other crappy stuff. Its nice to be alone.

I think the reason people are optimistic is: November 14, 2003: AJP Traded by the Minnesota Twins with cash to the San Francisco Giants for Joe Nathan, Francisco Liriano, and Boof Bonser. -
I used to wear Abercrombie jeans (They are like $70), ive gone to gap because i cant really find the A&F I like. Ive never felt that those type of jeans to not be good enough. But then again, I dont look at guys asses to tell what jeans they are wearing so I dont care.

You said it was the worst in 10 years. I already proved that the top 5 team are better this year than they were last year outside of basically 1 team (OSU). Your argument is ridiculous, Wisconsin was rated #1 last year so if they are a better team this year how are they not "really good". As for the bottom 7 thats once again not true. OSU has not even played IU or Wis. Played Purdue and MSU on the road and lost to both by less than 10. Likely that they will win against those 4 teams atleast 1 time. 9-4 OOC Minnesota, Lost to MSU by 5,6. Lost to Indiana by 5. OOC record 10-2 Iowa took IU and Wisconsin to the limit. Iowa is 7-4 OOC. Iowa contrary to your information has already beaten MSU Illinois should have beaten Indiana and i wouldnt be shocked if they beat Wisconsin at Assembly Hall. Illinois is 8-5 OOC NU is terrible but they are no better or worse than last year. But went 7-4 OOC PSU lost their top player Claxton at the start of big 10 play, was 7-4 OOC, is 3-7 in conference (beat MSU). Michigan in a transition. Now on to the Big Boys: Wisconsin: 10-2 OOC (lost to Duke, MU) beat Texas @ Texas. Only IC loss @ Purdue over all record 19-3 ranked 8th Indiana 11-2 OOC (lost to Uconn, Xavier) only IC loss @ Wisconsin, over all record 19-3 MSU 12-1 OOC, IC 7-2 (lost to PSU and Iowa not a top 4 team how can that be?) 19-3 over all Purdue 9-4 OOC, IC 9-1, 18-5 over all Now lets compare to last year: Hmm thats odd, notice how outside of 3 teams (OSU, MSU and Illinois) every single team is better this year. Your argument is ridiculous, its clear that you dont even watch the Big 10 except to knock it and say that its a terrible league. I often wonder why you talk so much about it when you go to NIU, but I have my feelings and Im not going to venture into conjecture. So lets break it down: (1) there isn't one or two clubs that are really good Untrue, how can Wisconsin ranked #8 be not good. How can Indiana being #13 not be good. How can MSU being ranked 10 not be good. According to this argument only teams ranked above Wisconsin could be "really good". IE the only good teams in basketball are: Memphis, Duke, UNC, Kansas, UCLA, Georgetown, Tennessee Every team after that sucks, they cant possibly win the tourney because you say they "arent really good". I guess that we should just end the season now. Here is the power 16 according to espn http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/powerranking...008&week=14 Big Ten has 3 teams, can you name which conference has more, because clearly atleast 3-4 conferences must have more because the big 10 is "horrid". Once again completely not true. You havent even watched the big 10 this season if you dont know this, my guess is you dont have BTN thus dont get to watch the majority of games. Iowa beat MSU (has a winning OOC record) PSU beat MSU (has a winning OOC record) OSU which you called horrid, hasnt even played most of the top teams in the Big 10. I mean if you have any facts to back up your opinion on go ahead. Bring me some facts on how this is the worst big 10 in the last 10 years. Because otherwise its flat out just your opinion. And is patently untrue 10 years ago Wisconsin had only been to the NCAA tournament 3 times. Now it goes every year and is considered a lock. Do you really have any clue about Big 10 history? Or do you just think no one will call you out on this? -

This statement is just mind blowing. You clearly have not been watching the Big 10 if you feel this is the worst big 10 in a decade. Can you name any other year in the last 10 where 4 teams could arguably be big 10 champ? The absence of an elite team does not make the league the worst its been. In fact the Big 10 is probably better than it was last year. Wisc 2007 > 06 MSU 07 > 06 Indiana 07 > 06 Purdue 07 > 06 Minnesota 07 > 06 So outside of OSU, Illinois, what other good Big 10 is actually worse than last year. I find it very hard to believe that youve been watching the big 10 for the last 10 years hard core because my guess is when you were 11 you werent exactly a basketball mastermind. -

Some of these posts are golden: Um they have played the bottom feeders of the "horrid league" and barely gotten bye. They still have to play MSU x2, OSU x2, WIS, PUR, Minnesota. Those are the only teams besides Indiana that have an arguable chance at the NCAA tournament. If you notice, they have only played 2 games against those teams and gone 1-1 in those games. Before we start saying how "horrid" the league is, lets see how Indiana fairs in the next stretch of games. Huh? In 2-3 years Illinois will be a top 3 Big 10 team. You cant win all the time, its just the nature of college sports. -

The part you didnt see is he then fouled DJ White but the refs didnt have the heart to call the foul because it was just so stupid. -

In an environment like tonight, all it will take is Gordon being rattled and the Illini can pull off an upset. Indiana has seemed to have depth issues and if Pruit/Randle can disrupt White, it could be an interesting match up. Illinois has not done well this year, but a lot of their problems have been self inflicted. Ill just go this far, it would not shock me if Illinois wins tonight. -

3. I think it will be funny if the Illini beat Indiana. -
Theres a place off the grand hall, but there is also one up the stairs. If you enter on the east side of Jackson by the river, go down the stairs/escalator to the right will be the sandwich place. The other entrance is on Adams, and when you go down there is the crispy creme, corner bakery. Its only 11:47 but now im getting hungry.

Thats a huge bias. Even the biggest conspiracy theorist would have to admit that if there was a conspiracy to attack the USS Liberty, the United States was involved. http://www.nsa.gov/liberty/liber00010.pdf The article makes it seem like the communications being destroyed by Israel made it possible to attack Liberty without the US knowing, but thats just not true.

Duke has been the most impressive team this year. I hate them but have to respect what they have done. Any list of top teams that does not include Duke is just blatantly putting emotions in front of fact. I dont know how anyone can "love" a match up with Duke considering Duke has been shooting the three insanely and that is a recipe for a disaster. Id rather not go into a game with my chances of winning coming down to the whether the other team misses shots. As a Wisconsin fan, Id much rather play UCLA, Kansas, or Memphis than Duke, but thats just my opinion. -
Its actually Jaffa Bagels, I always confuse it with Haifa Cafe because that place gives out a million fliers. And Union Station also has a sandwich place that has some interesting things, but the drinks are pre-made and in ice so its kind of watered down. And Lou Mitchell's is good, its a nice place for breakfast.

Id be down again, last year i missed the draft and didnt do that great so I need to revenge that horror.

:points up: I thought I posted that earlier, but spread for Illinois involves option and zone read which are very rarely if ever run in the NFL.
