Right, and where did I say anything to the contrary: Once again, this is why I dont think Indiana will win the Big 10. -

No you didnt say that. But some one else said that Indiana has 2 lottery picks, and that DJ White is the best big man in the Big 10, and that no one can hold a candle to him. And you speak of UCLA, what team did they lose to in the tournament. What was the rebounding advantage? Not to mention they play in the Pac 10, a completely different conference, with a completely different style. -

My statement was sarcastic If you go back I listed how DJ's numbers werent even that much better than Sutton and Butch who supposedly cant hold a candle to him. -

Jenks, You just arent projecting it correctly. DJ White is going to come in and put up 20-10 this year. Everyone else in the Big 10 is going to regress. Hence why DJ White is the best big man in the Big 10 with out any question. -

doctor, Thats my point: Hence if all 3 keep home court, Wisconsin has a half game advantage. Last year OSU went 15-1, Wisconsin went 13-3, Indiana went 10-6. OSU only lost to Wisconsin. Wisconsin lost to OSU, Indiana, MSU (all away) Indiana lost to OSU, Illinois, Iowa, Purdue, Michigan, Michigan State (all away) and lost to Illinois in the tourney. Now here is what concerns me about just writing Indiana in as the Big 10 champ. They did not always win the games they should win on the road. Last year they had the advantage of only having to play Wisconsin at Bloomington, this year they will also have to play at Wisconsin. So to answer the question about Indiana banging with the big boys, you beat Wisconsin 1 time at Indiana. Indiana did not successfully beat 1 big 10 power away from home. If this year stays the same, Indiana would be looking at 2nd-3rd place. (edit) And I think DJ will go in the first, just not a lottery (top 15 right). Off the top of my head I think there are about 5 guards who will go in the top 15, let alone other big men etc. -

Once again, Im not concerned about DJ White having problems with other teams height. Im concerned how the rest of the team will match up having to play against guys who will have several inches on them. -
Tecmo Super Bowl is legendary for kids. Tecmo Bowl the original is the legend. Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson, Walter Payton 4 offensive plays, 4 defensive plays. It was on.

Who are the 2 lottery picks? Gordon and ? I really doubt White goes in the top 15 (thats a lottery pick right?) And Jenks, How can you say Indiana wont finish 1st or 2nd, your just an idiot. No one could possibly see any holes in that team. (lol) And I think Illinois may surprise some people, but surprise equals finishing 4th ahead of OSU. Wisconsin is better than last years team, just they dont have the name recognition of Tucker. And honestly watching the Badgers this year, Im glad Tucker is gone. He was great for Wisconsin, dont get me wrong. For a few years he was the man, but the Badger talent keeps getting better and Tucker was a tweener. He was to small to really be a paint player (where he was most effective) and did not have the shot to be a dominant outside guy. He found his points, but often Wisconsin would just force the offense through him. There of course is also the chance without a go to player like Tucker, Wisconsin will fall apart. But hey, Ill let some one else come in here and say that. -
Mitchell report could wreak havoc on season

You have to remember that some of the owners during the time period in question are very very powerful, and implications such as the owners had knowledge or were even promoting steroid use would not look very good. Think about the Texas Rangers owner during the 1990's, and the players who were on the team, and all of the steroid allegations. Baseball wont sink its own ship, so I expect that at the end the players will be brought into secret meetings ala Belichick, they will be put on some sort of probation where if they are caught again they will be exposed and face a harsh consequence, and if they are not caught again all documents/information will be destroyed. Any time you start getting into retroactive penalties you are just starting a huge mess. This is just my theory/opinion, and is based on no actual facts. -

The same white who averaged 14 pts and 7 rebounds in 31 minutes. Is so much better than butch who averaged 9pts and 6 rebounds in 21 minutes. And so much better than Sutton who averaged 9 pts and 7 rebounds in 27 minutes. And even better than Morgan who has a frosh averaged 12 pts and 5 rebounds in 28 minutes. Maybe DJ White will win the Big 10 Player of the Year (my guess is he wont), but even if we pencil him in as the best PF/C in the Big 10, the problem still is who plays the other big man position. Hence why I listed that Indiana only has 2 big men. Teams like Wisconsin, MSU, will attack the inside with their height and strength advantage. Sure DJ is quick, but MSU has Morgan, and Wisconsin now has Leur. Both have size and the ability to step outside. Last, winning the Big 10 this year may have nothing to do with the best team. Indiana has to play at Wisconsin, at MSU, at Illinois, at OSU MSU has to play at Indiana, at Wisconsin, at Illinois, at OSU Wisconsin only plays at Indiana, at OSU, at Illinois Hence if all 3 keep home court, Wisconsin has a half game advantage. My feelings really are that Indiana will more likely be 3rd than 1st, but most likely finish second. -

You do realize Indiana only has 2 starters listed 6-9. http://indiana.rivals.com/cbroster.asp As a comparison, Wisconsin has: 4 players taller than 6'10, 1 player taller than 6'9. Im not saying that height means everything, I just often look at Indiana and wonder how are they going to match up against bigger Big 10 schools. MSU also has 4 guys who are bigger than 6'10. Im not saying that will mean Indiana cant win, I just dont think they are as sure of a bet as some people like to think. -

Damn last night I was going to come on here and say that I think Wisconsin could make a run at the Big 10, and now this guy has them tied for first. If I get bored I might write up my feelings on this years Wisconsin team, Ive gotten to see both exhibitions so it is kind of nice to actually know what the players look like before the 7th game of the season. -
Im in agreement with the previous 2 posts. Some players you just have to pay for.

I really dont think the Sox are in a position to dictate the trade. DLS and Gio may turn out awesome, but they have done nothing at the MLB level. Cabrera is one of the top hitters in baseball already. Not to mention some of the other pitching spects being thrown around make DLS and Gio look really bad.
-
Seems light to me as well, thats why if the Marlins ask for it I make the trade without hesitation.

If he did nothing wrong, than why was a 1st rounder taken away from him? I dont remember who said it, I think it was Collinsworth (maybe), but they basically implied that Belichick has been doing this type of cheating since he coached Cleveland. And I know that you are not an outspoken advocate against Bonds, thats why I prefaced it. IMO, if you are going to blast cheaters, you have to go after all cheaters. -

Perhaps most of the people on this board are confused because in Illinois we have 3 sports seasons. Fall, Winter, Spring. Fall: Football, Soccer Winter: Basketball, Wrestling Spring: Baseball, Tennis Thus in Illinois if you are good at basketball and football, you play both. So when we hear that none of your friends even played HS basketball its hard to believe that you could beat professionals. Ive seen Tamika play in person against men. There are really not that many men who are more talented than her. -
The only reason the Sox have a chance is if the Marlins like Fields and feel that the other offers will not net them a young 3b replacement. Crede is not even close to Fields value. With that being said Id give Fields and whatever 2 pitching spects the Marlins wanted. Id also try and maybe tell them wed pay Garlands salary, etc. I dont think it will happen though.

Im surprised to see Mr. Pratt in here defending Belichick. How is playing more games comparable to blatantly cheating? Its like what Bonds did, now if your on the side of the fence like me who does not care about Bonds cheating, then I can understand you wouldnt care about Belichick. But how can some people sit on their soap box (not pointing out anyone particular) and say Bonds is the worse thing in the world, and then say what Belichick did is okay, or not as bad. They both cheated, cheating is cheating. -

Strangely good game on BTN, OSU v Findlay. Findlay up 26-14 with 8:30 left to go. Doubt they win, but they actually look decent. -
KC boards are saying its phony, not sure what to believe. Have my eyes on his back ups for fantasy.

Ive seen Tamika Catchings play in person (she lived across the street), she used to own every guy at High School. Now I guess its possible that all of your friends were capable of walking on at D-1 programs, but the question is: Why didnt you? Because Id say with absolute certainty that Tamika could have played for plenty of mens D-1 schools, and probably even got a schollie from some of them. -
Okay so all the talk of Guitar Hero has me interested. The only question is, what about Rock Band.

I hate late mergers. Right now lower wacker merging to get onto LSD going north makes me very angry.
