Yep just like black people should have listened when they were told to sit at the back of the bus. Or when women could not vote. And sorry but your excuse of over-exaggerating does not fly. You posted legal fiction in a thread where you are trying to make a legal argument. That is not a very good plan if you want people to give your argument any merit. You are also wrong, there is a Supreme Court case discussing this exact issue. So by saying: "Who in their right mind would discipline a teacher" The answer is, the Supreme Court of the United States of America. It seems that it is pretty important if the SC took the time out of their day to make a ruling on the case. Just because they are children does not mean that they have no rights. No one can make me stand for the pledge, so why should the govt be able to make children? If anything it has serious nationalistic/propaganda implications and goes against the basic ideas of the constitution. Hence why it was over 100 years before the pledge was written (by a baptist socialist btw) and had nothing to do with the founding principles. Most of the founding fathers would have been outraged by the idea, because it is basically like an oath of loyalty. Not to mention the addition of "under god" which was not even part of the original pledge for the first 50 years. But hey, lets force kids to do s*** because we say so. That will really make them want to follow the rules as they get older.

Bears bashing boggles the mind

That game was 49-26. A little closer than some of the thrashings received by the Pats, Broncos, and Bills. (Pats game was 36 point difference, Broncos-49ers was 45, Broncos-Skins was 32, Bills-Boys was 35) Once you get over the 30 point hump you knnow you are talking about a bad game. -

It doesnt matter, everyone knows that team is the worst Super Bowl team by far. I really cant even think of 1 good player on that team. Atleast the Broncos who got smoked by the Niners had Elway, and the Bills had a few HOF's when they got killed by the Boys. ALthough Denver did take 2 beatings if you count the Redksins too. -

Dont worry the worst Super Bowl team will always be the Patriots. Refrigerator Perry for the score! 46-10 Total Net Yards New England: 123 Average Yard Per Rush: .6 6 Turnovers Taking out Grogan, 4 yards rushing total. For comparison sake: Grossman had more yards than the entire New England team. T. Jones had 10 yards less. Quite frankly the dumbest post I have ever seen on this website considering you are a patriots fan, and should know the worst team in Super Bowl history for now until eternity will always be that s***ty team with the lame ass patriot on the helmet. -
I can recall many nights when Comcast would not even work properly for me. Let alone actually getting the game feed and seeing the screen. It would just pixelate and then break down for a few innings. Comcast YES>

How could they arrest the teacher? First of all the lack of understanding of United States law is some what perplexing. In order to be arrested, you have to do something CRIMINAL. The case that LCR quoted is a Supreme Court case, it does not proscribe the conduct as illegal, but instead proscribes it as unconstitutional. Therefore the real question is: "How many teachers have been fired." Because that is the basic end of the road here. Its feasible that in a specific sitatuion a teacher could be sued individially, but in most cases it would be the school who would be the prime target (teachers have less money than a school district). So the question is, would you risk being fired forcing a student to do something that is unconstitutional? The answer for most people is no. They can stand for a valid reason or no reason, but it really doesnt matter.

Wisconsin missed on Jerry Smith who went to Lousiville. Im sure that the entire Wisconsin team is very saddened by that fact. Wisconsin also has lost Wesley Mathews to Marquette, and Wisconsin just has not been able to compete. Both Marquette and Louisville must be far better programs because they were able to take in-state talent away from Wisconsin... Honestly it gets damn annoying. I understand the reason why the KU fan has to hold dear to recruiting, because he has nothing else to talk about. But for the rest of us who enjoy realistic conversation, can you just keep it down. I wouldnt be squawking until the NCAA tourney when Kansas actually goes deeper than Illinois. Because last I checked there is no: "Best recruiting team championship trophy" -

I just think Indiana and Illinois are at similar places. Illinois has done a little better in the recent past, Indiana is some what more up and coming. The biggest difference this season is the home game against Wisconsin. If Illinois had won and Indiana lost its most likely people would be saying that Illinois is a lock. Its pretty strange to think that just 1 game can make or break a 30 game season but thats what you are talking about when it comes to selection time. -

Yeah im sure most recruits are really turned off when a team loses a close one on the road? Please Illinois and Indiana are basically at the exact same place in terms of the Big 10. In the past few years Illinois has dominated the Big 10, one bad year does not make a life time. If I was a recruit I would be going to OSU or Wisconsin anyways. -

Chisox, I more meant that its crazy to say that Illinois is only the 6th best team. I think an argument can be made for Illinois, MSU, or Iowa as the 4th best team. But to just blatantly write Illinois off because they lost at IU is some what perplexing. I also think Big 10 will get minimum of 4 NCAA teams, and very likely 5. -

In other news with the UCLA loss if Kentucky should beat Florida its possible that Big 10 has 1 and 2 rankings. -

If its at Iowa its much more difficult. Refs always keep the game close for the home team so Illinois would just have to out play them. -

Haha I cant believe some one is saying Iowa is better than Illinois. Its almost impossible to win at Indiana and the fact that Illinois stayed in the game shows that they are atleast the 4th best team in the Big 10. As for the Big 10 being down, that is some what perplexing. OSU and Wisconsin are both in the top 5, if one of them was in the 16 range and had loss to a team like Illinois etc that would put 4 Big 10 teams in the top 25. Just because the top of the Big 10 is better than most of the other leagues does not make the middle of the road teams bad. Barring something crazy Illinois is in the tournament. I believe Iowa plays at Illinois to end the season and Im gonna say Illinois wins that game. -
It seems pretty apparent that Mcknight talked to Bush. The story first was: I talked to Bush. Then it was: Oh I just overheard them talking on speakerphone while I was in another room. (Then when he found out that was a violation also). Oh what I really meant was that Bush and Pete talked on a completely seperate occassion and that Pete just happened to mention it. And then I accidentally said I talked to Reggie when I meant that pete has talked to reggie. Sounds really convincing, my guess is that the NCAA does nothing. USC going down would make the Pac-10 barely a BCS conference.

Well I was more commenting how that would be nice right now. Every post of mine ive basically said that osu/wisconsin will get a 1 and it will depend on a variety of factors. Season is far from over so a lot of things can happen. -
Wisconsin gets a good kicker in Phil Welch out of Colorado. Most likely he was given the scholly that was being saved for a guy like Peake or Harris who chose not to sign.

Illinois looked better against NU than either OSU or Wisconsin. Weber can coach so when he has more talent than the other team it really can get out of hand. -

Its wierd thinking about a 1-2 seed for Wisconsin. The difference in the quality of opponents is astounding compared to where they generally are put (between 5-8). (And looking at that bracket I dont know how Illinois didnt get in. Barring some major loss id say they are about 80% chance of making it right now.) -

http://espn.go.com/i/ncaa/07mens_MOCKbracket.gif That would be a really nice bracket for Wisconsin. Florida/UNC on the other side. -
I thought that Rousseau's husband was Ben. I know she was with a scientist who left with others when some of them started to become "sick". but it would explain why Rousseau is also left alone like her daughter Alex.

I mean who knows how it will play out. Just if I was a betting man and had to pick the 4 1 seeds right now I would say: UNC Florida UCLA Wisconsin/OSU (Those are in no particular order) I really think it will be hard to shake those up too significantly for a variety of reasons. And even if Wisconsin and OSU both deserve #1's I do not think that the selection committee will give the Big 10 2 1 seeds, if it means taking 1 away from the SEC, ACC, or Pac-10. And Kansas has an outside chance at a 1, but I think more realistically should be hoping for a good 2 seed. -

The 2 seed in the Midwest will be interesting as their are 3 teams who may get it: Wisconsin, OSU, Kansas. Right now its looking like only 1 of those 3 will be a 1 seed in the midwest. My bet is on Wisconsin getting it due to the wins over Pitt and Marquette, but there is a lot of season to be played and anything can happen. After that it gets interesting because it seems like the selection committee is going to try and avoid OSU and Wisconsin in the same bracket. Also I believe there is some rule where OSU cant be put in Columbus (like some 30 mile rule I dont know off hand). -
Floyd And Im glad that Im the 6th member of the MO Vaugh for CF campaign. Dont remember wanting to join, but now that I am I cant believe all the great benefits. Plus how defensively savy our team will be with the greatest CF on the earth.

So far about the Foo Fighters song Ive read that. Prince was/is a Jehovas Witness. The legal organization for the Jehovas Witness is "the watchtower". Prince starts the song Watchtower. I believe he edited the song to say (prince kept a view), and then goes into the Foo Fighter song. The theory is that it is a reference to Prince no longer wanting to be affiliated with Jehova's Witnesses. But thats just a theory based on speculation. Otherwise its strange that he chose such a random song. My first guess was that some how prince actually wrote it (like Sinead O'Connor's nothing compares to you) but doing some research that doesnt seem to be the case.
