  1. Not sure but NGS just means they are late filing annual report. It's pretty common this year as the SOS seemingly "forgot" to send a lot of annual reports.

  3. You have to take the breach part out because the Bears are able to do this. So using your example, you wouldnt have to pay the old contractor for the full contract (even though he didnt do the work) plus the new contractor. But that isnt really a good comparison, because in this case the old contractor is working for a different person and therefore is unable to work for you. The bottom line is that is very rare that you can get a windfall. Usually whatever is made is counted as a mitigation of damages/offset.
  4. Right, besides for sports it would be unheard of.
  5. It doesnt undercut the guarantee. The player is getting a windfall, they get paid by both teams. This goes against pretty much all contract law. Not saying he isnt smart asking for it, but its not normal contract stuff. Common example is: I have a lease for $1k a month. It has 10 months left. I breach the lease. My landlord then finds a new tenant immediately who pays them $900 per month. I am only liable for $100 per month, not the full $1k.
  6. Was the Jabari stuff in some interview or article?
  7. Why even bother? Trumpites believe that Seth Rich was murdered by the DNC, despite all evidence to the contrary. They also believe that Russia did nothing, despite all evidence supporting it.
  8. Russia broke a treaty with the US. Im not just going to sit here and normalize that behavior. If Russia wants to improve relations, leave Crimea, apologize for breaking the treaty, and pay reparations. If they dont, I have no problem continuing bad relations until they correct their behavior. Im not going to normalize foreign countries breaking treaties with us, Im not going to say its okay for us to bow to them. I have no problem being at odds with Putin due to his behavior. But I would be very open to improved relations if he fixes the problems he created. I think its every intelligence agency, so youd rather side with Americans than Putin, which is what id hope most Americans would say.
  9. Maybe they will maybe they wont. Senator McCarthy's fall from grace was very quick, so you just never know. And irrespective of party, I still hold out hope that most people want what is best for America.
  10. There is a difference. Before today people could at least hold out hope that Trump would stand his ground. But today was a pretty cowardly, and Im not sure anyone can deny that.
  11. Bill O'Reilly's most recent column basically states Putin beat Trump. So maybe today is finally the line getting crossed. I know the MAGA people wont care, but I just cant believe that the rest of congress can turn a blind eye.
  12. I have no idea what youre talking about. You posted about whether a statement could be used in court, I wrote a response about that. To be fair, I didnt read any of the other posts except to make a joke. So my post was not in relation to theirs at all, it only was to answer what I thought was a serious question about civil procedure. There was no straw man argument, I was just explaining why an exculpatory self written statement doesnt necessarily have a lot of value in court. Again, thought it was a legitimate civil procedure question.
  13. Letters that are self serving almost have 0 value in court as he can testify to that anyways (if he actually took the stand.) (edit) And if he didnt take the stand, it would likely be inadmissible. It would be like OJ writing in a blog "I didnt murder anyone." What value does that have?
  14. Im not a cap expert, but my guess is that they still can go after 1 next year. But Im thinking 2 would be impossible.
  15. Its almost just an entirely different way of calculating risk. The first option was to clear salary so you had a chance at a superstar. The Bulls seem to be taking the risk on injured players, who could possibly turn into more. At least it could be a young team with talent potential.
  16. Illinois... hmmmm someone has really been speaking out about this.. (I kid.)
  17. Sooo WCJ - C Markkanen PF Parker - SF Jimmy Butler - SG Kyrie Irving - PG CHAMPIONS! (j/k)
  18. They way it reads is like they are still negotiating.
  19. Well the real irony is that they are actually investigating if what Pelosi said is false. Its the exact opposite of getting their information from her. But I mean, its also bad reporting if CNN calls people about Jim Jordan to try and verify a story. Instead they should just write things like "Jim Jordan wont take a lie detector test" or "Jim Jordan cant prove that he didnt see boys raped."
  20. Not going to say that the exchange couldnt be improved. But I will say, why not work to improve it so that we can all get good affordable healthcare and dont have to feel like slaves to our employers? I know that this will never fly with Republicans, but it seems like that is a worthwhile goal.
  21. Destroy their economy until they are forced to abide by the treaty.
  22. If other countries would like to sanction the US for what they perceive as wrongdoings by the US, they are fully within their rights. But its not comparable to what Russia did, because the US had no treaty with Iraq, Yemen, etc where we agreed to certain rules. But as far as I can tell, there is not a current comparable situation where the US signed a treaty and then broke that treaty. Perhaps you can find one, but I personally believe that the US has to enforce the treaties that we sign and that we have to protect the countries that we sign treaties to protect.
  23. Youd have to be more specific because I dont think you can generally answer that question.
  24. Until they return Ukraine we pressure our allies to sanction Russia until they are ground to dust. You dont let a foreign power break a treaty like this.
  25. Sounds like you think they should create some sort exchange for individuals so that individuals can get better rates and not be reliant on their employer...
