If it was up to me I would just put Harris in a rotation with Uribe and Rowand. I know that it is probably detrimental at this point to put Harris in CF again, but I feel much more confident in a lineup where Willie and not Uribe is the leadoff hitter. Uribe has done awesome, and I think if he stays in the right places in the lineup he will continue to do well, not as well but around .300 with some pop. I just prefer a line-up where Harris is leads with Uribe as 2, Jose would go down in the lineup to behind Konerko or Crede and provide some a left handed bat at the bottom of the order. Harris may not be the best Centerfielder, but he is adequate and will keep intact the Uribe Harris combination that has been propelling us to victories. There is something to be said for : If it aint broke, dont fix it. I would hate to see Harris benched, Uribe and Valentin go into a funk and have us lose 4-5 games this week, then have Harris try to step back in and be cold. SB

I think I might of held on to win, not sure exactly as most of the stats are really close. The sigs look awesome, if its not to much to ask if you could add a picture of the Cell or of Chicago that would be great, because after I get this one, I doubt I will make another sig ever, unless of course I lose in the rematch. Who cares, Dusty Baker said that white people cant play as well in the heat as black people and that his mother told him so. He used this as a reason for why the Cubs were in a slump last year. If Ozzie said "We are losing games because latinos play in the sun better, and we have to many white people." Marriotti and the rest of the Chicago media would be trying to force him to retire. lol Because the first series was 4 games and I forgot they split instead of going 2-1? Sorry but that only further enforces the point that most of our losses have been to the best team in the AL, meaning there is no reason to start ligning up for the guillotine. SB

FlasoxxJim, Willie not getting thrown out at 2nd could of been the turning point of that game. If Maggs does any damage with the bases loaded, the whole dynamic changes. To replace Harris at this point would cost more than it would return, unless we were getting a significant upgrade. We have been pounding the Royals who are in our division, won 2 of 3 from the D-Rays, and are 2-3 versus the Yankees. And yah optimism seems to be at a minimum on most Sox boards, but that just does not fit my personality. SB

C. Lee is only hitting .264 we should trade him too. Its been less than 20 games, thats less than 1/8 of the entire season. Uribe and Harris may not be studs, but they are good enough for now. You cant just trade for everyone under the sun, and it takes quality to get quality. I can remember how bad people were complaining about Everret and Alomar, how we gave up such great prospects. Bah Its just some fans can never be happy, some days I wish that we had a fan base like the Yankees or Red Sox, who just believed and some times irrationaly that our players were the best. 3 of our losses have come to the Yankees for god sakes. In what f***ing universe do you live in where a $60million should beat a $180million team. If we win today, we split our season series with the BEST team. Sorry but to me, thats damn fine, all we gotta do is hold our own against the weaker teams and we easily make the playoffs. SB

Lets all jump off a bridge. Arguably the best pitcher on the Yankees staff shut us down, and the world is crumbling. Vazquez throws in the high 90's with a damn fine curve, Id say hes the best pitcher that Ive seen this year. The Sox kept it close, they were in the game the entire time, and it could of gone either way. I wish the Sox went 162-0, but they are gonna undoubtedly lose 60, and the losses that come to the Yankees and Vaz barely sting. SB

Its pouring now, so unless conditions are extremely different at the Cell, this one probably should of never even got started. SB

Rain just started to kick up in the city, which is probably not good news. Although there are still people playing outside at the baseball field across the street, so I guess if the players have any heart they wont be afraid of the rain. SB

Possibly send down Cotts and start stretching him out so if we need him to take the 5th spot in the rotation hes ready. SB

Without Frank and Valentin is different than without Valentin. I will agree that if both are out the full series our offense may sputter, especially if Gload doesnt produce. Im just saying losing Valentin alone, right now seems replacable for the moment. Not that over the long haul of the season Uribe may cool down, but just at this moment hes looking good. SB

Uribe has 4 less hits in 23 less ab. Willie has a better average and OBP than Valentin. What we will miss his is power, and veteran leadership. But Uribe and Harris so far have done as good of a job as Valentin, so while his injury sucks, its atleast a position we had a player who was working hard to deserve playing time. SB

I would say it should help the Sox. Reinsdorf spends like his competition, when the Indians spent, he spent. If the Twins spend, I doubt he will just sit idly and let the Sox lose. He likes to keep the Sox cheap and competitive, not cheap and no chance of winning. SB

Well the Black Sox were flying high until they met the Buzz Saw that is A. Ramirez and C. Beltran. Needless to say, the fall from grace was horrific. SB

Wright needs to set his fastball up with his curveball. So far no one has hit his curveball at all. SB

I think Uribe would of looked much better in the 2nd spot today than Timo. Not sure why that wasnt the line up. SB

The problem with Wright is some times he tries to get away with a fastball like a power pitcher and it fools no one. His curveball has been pretty nasty so far, people swinging at balls way in the dirt. SB

Wright needs to stay with his curveball, 2 fast balls have been killed. SB

The truth is, until Rowand proves otherwise, Im not all that sold on him. If Reed keeps hitting, he could replace Rowand in center as early as this year. Rowand is not really worth it in RF where you can get a guy that hits a ton for cheap. SB

I voted forget Maggs go for Beltran. Theres nothing wrong with Maggs, I think hes one of the best RFers in the game. But Beltran is amazing, and he plays CF which is a more desirable position. I dont know how you can say that youd prefer to have Maggs over Beltran all things being considered, unless you are just saying because Maggs is a Sox, we should give him preference. SB

Frank had big time endorsements, Reebok, etc. Its just after the strike he kind of fell off, but there was a time Frank and Griffey were the 2 hottest players in the majors. SB

Frank has an obp of .385 and has more BB's then K's. Anyone that has watched Frank in his career knows that he generally starts off slow and heats up over the summer. A few of his hits have been just right at people, and his average could easily be over .300. I expect him to have a good year, and improve his BA from last year. SB

I really like Harris, but Uribe is making the most out of his opportunities. SB

I wonder why the Royals didnt start Graff today? Start him against the righty... Bench him against the lefty? SB
